Chapter thirteen

455 Words
UKI POV: I just couldn't put in one sentence how I feel right now, considering the state I'm in upon seeing the princess today at her wedding. What is this am feeling for her? Why was I so drawn to her? I kept asking myself the same series of questions as I hid myself in the dark. The wedding was over a long time ago and I'm supposed to leave immediately as planned but my feet is betraying me. I watched as the princess was about to be escorted to her new home with her husband and a few others and then my eyes fell on the groom, who didn't seem to be happy with the new bride. I saw how he was consciously avoiding her and I couldn't help but frown at the sight. "This man is up to something" I thought to myself. They all entered into their carriage and prepared to leave. I guess this is my cue to leave this place. "She belongs to someone now and I don't think I have to be worried for her. At least the young warrior can protect her" I tried convincing myself. I was about leaving but my heart was saying other wise. "What is wrong with me today?" I mentally hit myself. All I had to do was to come see the princess and go back but why is my heart saying otherwise. "Maybe I should go with them. At least let me know her new home" I just wanted an excuse to see the princess some more and I needed to know she will be fine. I just went through the bushes by the side of the road so as to avoid suspicion. I trailed the carriage till we arrived at a huge building which was almost as big as the kings palace. "This family must be the richest in this kingdom next to the King alone" I thought to myself. Then the groom came out of the carriage, followed by the princess and I watched the groom say Something to her that made her frown and her bright face quickly became dull. The groom who looked like he wasn't bothered about the princess walked away leaving the princess and the servants to struggle with the Princess' belongings. "What an i***t!" I was beginning to get upset with the arrogant fool. "Oh! I wish I could punch him." I watched as the princess and the servants took their belongings in. Presently, I'm certain that the Princess is in for so much heart break but I can't do anything about it. "I have to go. I believe this is her destiny." I forced myself out of there even when my heart said otherwise.
