CHAPTER 10 Megan blinked at the clock in her brother’s guest room. What was making that noise this early in the morning? How long had she been asleep? Only a few hours? Her back was aching after that bumpy bus ride and long flight yesterday. She grimaced as she sat up in bed and stretched. Since she was awake, she might as well use the bathroom. And try to figure out where that sound was coming from. Could someone be running the vacuum cleaner at this hour of the night? She padded down the hall and stopped in front of Kitty’s open door.
