(It's closing hour. The Chemistry teacher(Mr Adewal) is rounding up his lesson. Students are already packing their bags as they wait for the closing bell)
Mr Adewale:
(They heard the bell for the closing time) That is the bell. I can see that you guys are eager to go home. We will continue from where we stopped tomorrow. And don't forget to read your books.
Class:
Yes sir.
Mr Adewale:
Nice.
(The students are standing up to take there leave) Attention class! Shortly before you go, I want to tell you guys about the Science competition coming up very soon.
Class:
(Shouts for joy)
Mr Adewale: You guys should think together for something extra ordinary to create and present, that will make our school win this year. As you all know, we've never succeed in this competition, and I know this year will be different. So work together to win for your school this year. Please start working on it. And if you need any thing, let me know as soon as possible. We have nothing less than a month, two weeks and two days to create something magnificent. Thank you.
Class:
(Clapped for Mr Adewale as they carry their bags and moves out of the class one by one. Yemisi moves to Mr Adewale to discuss something with him.)
Yemisi:
Sir, is it possible we create something as a group?
Mr Adewale:
Yes it is. But this competition was organized to challenge young minds and to also make them develop their creative skills. Sometimes, if we work something out together in group, it might not be given the same pride or respect as that of which proceeds from a creative mind. So you can decide to work in group and also personally, both is okay. All that matters is success. There is a popular saying that "The ends justifies the means". No one really cares about how you achieve it but the result. Am I clear?
Yemisi:
(Nods her head to show that she understood him) Yes sir. I understand you perfectly now sir.
Mr Adewale:
That's good. And don't forget the benefit of this competition. You'll be given a scholarship to study at any university of your choice, a sum of One million dollars will be given to the winner and other many gifts for the school also. I wish you best of luck.
Yemisi:
Thank you so much sir.
(Mr Adewale leaves while some of the students talks about the competition.)
Light out...
