"Watch were you're going" I snapped
His face projected confusion and amusement at once. His thin lips were pressed in a hard line, but I could tell he wanted to smile. Before he had the chance to open his mouth, I pushed past him and exited out into the courtyard.
Feeling like I've finally got back at him, I smile to myself.
"What was that about?" Jessie asked as I joined her on the grass.
It was lunch time and my second week here. The weekend was finally here. Thank God it's Friday, I sang in my head.
"What?"
"You were just talking to Trent. What about?"
"You're so obsesssed. Breathe Jess. " I scold "I was coming out here and he bumped into me at the doorway. I just told him to watch his step"
"You did what? Why are you so hostile towards him?" She barked.
I shook my head at her in disappointment."You poor love sick girl."
She rolled her eyes at me and then smiled.
Sean Fiascos made his way over to us and rapped his arms around me.
"To think I just meet you last week" I joked, unwrapping the container of leftover dinner from last night
Sean grabbed it from my hands and started to eat. I looked at him in frustration. After an awkward minute of waiting for him to finish, his eyes finally met mine. His smile soften my hard gaze. His hands fished out his wallet and he threw it at me.
I took his wallet and pulled out the $50 bill. It was either that or $100 bill. I threw his wallet back in his lap and rose to my feet and headed towards the cafeteria.
As I passed the sole group of people I've been so fascinated over since I first moved here, his eyes met mine for the second time today. This time it was my turn to look away.
I confidently walked passed their table and towards the display of sandwiches.
"Buying something?"
I turned around and came face to face with Xavier. I haven't spoked to him since I last told him what I thought about a certain person. I scowled at him. I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Are you here to find more things to tell Trent?"
Xavier looked shocked and then amused. "I didn't know it was a secret"
"So you did tell him" I turned away from him and grabbed a yogurt parfait, a chicken salad sandwich and a bottle of water.
"He wanted to know" Xavier proclaimed, taking the items out of my hands and bringing them to the cashier. Before I could stop him, he paid for it. As he handed me the recently purchased items, he smirked.
I glared at him through narrowed eyes. "He wouldn't have asked if you didn't bring it up"
"Touché"
He turned his head slightly to the right and I became nervous. I looked away as my face began to heat up. "Enjoy your lunch".
After I pulled myself together and exited the cafeteria, I joined Jessie, Sean, and Amy on the grass again. After an uncomfortable minute of scratching my legs, i turned to Sean
"Here" I said as I pushed the $50 back at him.
He handed me back my container, now empty, as he grabbed the bottle of water from my hand. "Did I tell you I needed money?"
"It's yours" I scowled at him.
"I'll talk to you guys later" he smiled, ignoring my outstretched hand "goodbye Leigh" he smirked, giving me an intense look.
"Bye" Amy shouted at him as he walked away. He waved at her over his shoulder.
Sighing, I placed the bill in my back pocket and began to eat what was left of my lunch.

After cleaning up and throwing away my garbage, I was a little late to class, but I still made it before the final bell. When I entered business class, I froze. Trent Logan was in my seat.
No, my name wasn't on it. But after two weeks of sitting in the same spot, I have developed the right to call it mine. It's the principle.
I let out a struggled breath and made my way to the one in front of him.
He was in deep conversation with the person beside him when I took my seat. Making sure not to make eye contact, I placed my bag straps over the back of the chair and pulled out my notebook. I can hear his annoying voice behind me. That was my seat.
"Can you move?"
I looked up at the same dark haired girl that always seemed to sit in front of Trent. After losing my seat, I wasn't in the mood to be bothered.
"No. Can you find somewhere else to sit?" I scowled at her. =
"Excuse me?" she hissed.
"Are you deaf?" I snapped.
"Do you know who you're talking to?" she barked. Her expression stunned.
"Does it look like I care?" I bellowed
A calm, commanding voice came from behind me. "Pauline, find somewhere else to sit"
Her eyes were furious as she glared at me. I waved my hand as I brushed her away. Her mouth opened as if about to say something, her gaze more intense.
Mr.Pier entered into the room and I straightened in my chair. I hadn't noticed that the class was witnessing our little spat until curious eyes met mine.
Throughout the class, Pauline sent my hate daggers with her eyes from across the room. I really don't know what she's going on about, I didn't even want to be near him. I was just too comfortable in the back of the class to stray too far from it. This reminded me of Sheldon Copper on the Big Bang Theory. Yes! that's exactly it.

Sean was waiting for me at my locker when the final bell rang.
"I heard you go into an argument"
I pulled my locker open and placed my books inside. "Is that so... what'd you hear" I smiled, turning my head to the side
We stared at each other for awhile before Xavier snapped us out of it. "I thought you didn't like Trent"
"I don't" I replied simply.
"Then why fight over who sits beside him in class?"
"Are you my mother, Xavier? can I not have a disagreement with someone without being questioned?" I murmured
"You're very hot-tempered, Leigh" He rolled his eyes at me.
"Why were you fighting over the seat anyways?" Sean asked, taking my mirror out of my locker. He began to stare at himself.
"That bastard took my seat. Then his girlfriend started having a fit and it pissed me off" I stated
"You're a little ball of anger, aren't you Leigh" Sean smirked, clearly enjoying my anger. He placed the mirror back into my locker and looked down at me.
"Fighting with the girls here isn't a smart way to make friends" Xavier reasoned.
I closed my locker and turned back to them. "I don't want to be friends with some obnoxious, incompetent, obsessive, morons who only cares about their looks and who are all in love with a jerk called Trent Logan." I breathe
"Was the seat really that important?" Sean questioned, amused.
I shook my head at him and headed out the door.
--
When I finally got home, I only wanted to see one person.
"Leigh" He smiled, running up to me.
I took Nate in my arms, and headed up to my room. After I placed him on my bed and threw my bag on the floor, I finally joined him.
"What did you do today?" I asked
"I Pl-l-ayed with my friends"
"You did?" I asked as if surprised
He nodded his head frantically and I took him into my arms. Thank God it's Friday.
