Clement knew the peace and quietness were too wonderful to last, but he didn’t expect things to blow up so fast. He had dated Kyle for more almost two weeks now, and when no paparazzi snaps appeared anywhere, he thought he and Kyle were safe for the time being. He figured they would be all right at least until Christmas. He was aware his true identity would likely be revealed after Christmas because he had been informed prior to leaving Oswington that the corporate office in New York had hired some photographers to take pictures of his virgin visit to the local branch of Beaumont Department Store.
It was his fault for becoming rather lax with his security and privacy, but he couldn’t help it. He enjoyed Kyle’s company, and he hadn’t felt so strongly about anyone in a while. He
