Looking for Alexa

Chapter 26

The Moon Goddesses P.O.V 

  I would often enter the dreams of my children, making sure to meet with each and every one of them at least once in their lives. I enjoyed watching them living their lives to the fullest, but at times I felt sadness that I couldn't interfere and protect them more. The night went on and I was as usual watching over some of my children, I watched as Blue watched over Rachel before he fell asleep and hoped that they could overcome Rachel's past together. 

  I watched as Nick watched over Alexa, he knew what Rachel had told her and how it scared her, but he made sure she was ok before he fell back to sleep, I knew that they would be okay, they shared a strong bond and love, but they would have their share of trouble in the near future. 

  I looked in on Sam and Alec, watching as they held each other under the stars, their hopes of building their own pack was still a dream, but a dream that they hoped would come true and I must admit I was keeping my fingers crossed for them, they have had a hard life, but were lucky to find each other.

  I even watched as the hunter walked back and forth in her house, she couldn't sleep and missed her husband. I was saddened by the fact that she was trying to get Alexa back, she kept thinking to herself that it would all pay off. She would sell her to the highest bidder and if she couldn't do that she would rip Alexa's heart out. I really wanted to put an end to this woman and stop her from causing any more misery, but I knew I couldn't, it was against our rules. The hunter finally got tired and went to bed, dreaming of the day she would get to kill Alexa. I despised this woman, she was threatening to hurt one of my precious children and there wasn't a single thing I could do about it. I stopped watching her and retired back to my garden, hoping for better days to come, even though I knew all my children had a long hard road ahead of them.

  Rachel's P.O.V

  The next day I woke, suddenly remembering that Blue slept in my bed. I gently pushed him a few times, knowing that we had to talk before Alexa arrived to start training. Blue slowly opened his eyes smiling at me, but the smile left his face as soon as he saw the serious look I gave him. He sat up in bed, ready for the talk that we both knew we needed to have. I sat up, clearing my throat and sighed, ready to begin the awkward conversation.

  "Listen we need to talk, I already had a mate years ago and we were always together. We went hunting one day, when rogues attacked us and there were so many, so I howled as loud as I could so my pack could hear me, but I got knocked out and when I woke up, no one told me about Matt my mate, until my sister came to see me told me he died. When I recovered I went to his grave to say my goodbyes, but I never fully recovered from it. What would happen if we're together and rogue's attack us? Would you be able to fight them off? Can you say you wouldn't die?" I said, getting everything out in the open and explaining what had happened.

  Blue's P.O.V

  I listened to her story and once I  knew what had happened to her, all I wanted to do was to put her in my arms and hold her tightly, but I didn't. I sat there and listened to her story, it explained everything and I thought to myself, that my mate is a very strong and very strong willed woman. I heard her questions and decided to answer them as honestly as I could. 

  "I can tell you this, I've been trained by the best, I've been beaten up but recovered. I can't promise you I would never die, because one day not soon, but one day I might. I understand you lost your mate, but if you want to give us a chance then we will give it a shot, but if not, then we will reject each other right now. I won't beg for someone to love me, when they won't and I won't force someone to be with me, when they don't want to be. I said I wouldn't give up on us and I meant that, but I won't beg you to be with me or beg for you to love me. I know you've been through a lot, but I'm a guard and a warrior, I will fight for my pack and for my Alpha and Luna. I'm a part of this pack, I took an oath to protect my family and I stand by this oath. Don't think I'm angry or upset, because I'm not. I've waited years for my mate and if you decide that we need to reject each other, then I'll wait years again for a second chance." I said, sighing and making my feelings clear. I stood up from the bed and leaned down picking up my shirt and pants to put them back on.

  Rachel's P.O.V 

  I watched Blue closely and listened to everything he had to say, I was,a little taken back on what he said to me. I admired him, he was a strong man and very strong willed, he had pride in himself and that's what I liked. I held it back and watched him get up from bed getting his shirt and pants, I watched him put them on and then I stood up from the bed. I stopped him from leaving, by placing my hand on his chest and my bright green eyes looking into his, pleading for him not to leave. she took a deep breath

  "I won't beg either Blue. Listen I don't trust easy, Matt knew that and now you do. Something tells me you don't trust that easy either, so we will work on that together. How about if we work on ourselves together?" I said, looking up at him, waiting for him to say something, anything even a f**k off would be something. We looked into each other's eyes for the longest time, then suddenly he pulled me close, crashing his lips into mine and kissing me passionately. The sparks between us were undeniable, when he broke the kiss, he looked into my eyes and smiled.

  "We'll take it slow, we'll be dating at first and we'll see how things will go. After a month, we will then decide." Blue said, I nodded and agreed.

  "I need to get to work, but I'll be back after I get done with my shift." Blue said, kissing my cheek and then leaving. I stood there for a while, letting out a breath that I didn't even know I was holding in. I suddenly snapped out of my day dream, remembering that I was meeting Alexa to train. I took a fast shower and then got dressed ready for training with Alexa.
