[..]
“Who is this?” Armaros spoke as he picked up the phone.
“It’s me,” Dagon spoke.
“Dagon? I don’t know what you want right now, but I really don’t have time for this..” he answered, but Dagon interrupted him.
“Do you know Damon is selling hybridbloòd on the black marked?” Dagon asked. Armaros didn’t say anything for a moment.
“How do you know that?” He asked when he finally spoke again.
“I can’t go into any details about it, but I met with the leader of the BDL and this bloòd is fücking real, Armaros! Please don’t tell me it’s Stella’s,” he spoke, but Armaros’ hesitation only confirmed his assumptions.
“For fück sake Armaros, everybody knows about it now, what do you think is going to happen, if this goes global, or they discover her identity?” Dagon shot.
“Don’t you think I fücking know! I’m already going there now!” Armaros snapped.
“Who’s going with you?”
“No one, I will end this once and for all, I’m going to go in there and kill every last one of them, including my fücking spermdonor!”
“Oh, no you won’t, I’m going with you. Bella and I are already on our way. Where should we meet?”
“Sorry, but that’s not an option, Dagon. I’ll do this myself. I’m not having any more people involved in this.”
“Shut up, and tell me where to meet you!” Dagon growled, but Armaros had already ended the call.
“Díckhead!” Dagon growled, before he put the phone down.
“What happened?” Bella asked, while Dagon shook his head.
“Armaros keeps thinking he can handle everything on his own. He intends to go on a suicide mission to his father’s place, but that makes him more stupid than he gets credit for,” Dagon explained, as he almost didn’t see what was in front of him.
“Dagon, watch out!” Bella yelled, as Dagon hit the brakes when he finally realized the road was blocked.
“What the hell?!” Dagon frowned, as he stepped out of the car and saw a tree was blocking the road.
“What is it?” Bella asked as he stepped out of the car, while Dagon was examining it.
“A tree is blocking the road, but I don’t think it’s here by accident,” he spoke, as he began looking around.
“Dagon, someone’s here, I can smell it,” she called to him, and when she did, four men walked forward. Dagon backed away from them, while Bella ran over to him.
“It’s the same people who followed us the last time,” Bella whispered, as Dagon narrowed his eyes.
“What the hell do you idiots want?!” He yelled at them.
[Stella’s POV]
“How long do you think it will take before he gets back?” Daliah asked me. It was clear she was worried about him, and what would happen.
“Just stay calm, I’m sure everything will be fine, he will get back before you know it..” I tried to calm her, but when we heard footsteps coming towards us, she flew up.
“Ezra!” She called as I tried to keep a hold on her.
“No, wait Daliah!” But it was already too late, when I raised from the hideout to follow her, Damien was standing there, as he held Daliah at gunpoint.
“So, it’s here you're hiding, that witch really knows how to ruin a good mood, but I see you didn’t get that far.
I thought I missed my chance, but it must be my lucky day,” he added, but more he didn’t get to say, before a shot was fired, and he fell dead to the ground.
“More like your last,” a familiar voice stated coldly.
“Armaros!?” I blurred out, when I saw it was him who fired his gün, and I proceeded to run over and hug him.
“I got you, babygirl,” he whispered in to my hair as he kept holding me close and placed a kiss on the side of my head.
“Are you hurt?” He asked, as he looked at my bandaged hand.
“No, I’m okay, Damon just took some of my blood, but I’ll be fine,”
“Okay, good, let’s get you out of here,” he replied, as he took an arm around me.
“Did you really kill all of them?” I asked as we passed several dead bodies on our way out.
“Most of them, yes, and I would do it again, if someone dares to harm my girl,” he replied, as he pulled me a little closer.
His words should probably have creeped me out, but somehow I felt utterly safe knowing he had my back. When we got to Armaros’ car, I turned to Daliah and Ezra.
“Where will the two of you be going?” I asked, as they looked at each other.
“We would like to go home, but from what we heard, our witch clan moved away over a year ago, due to all the attacks, so we'll figure out where it has moved to,” Ezra explained, as Daliah nodded.
“How about you, come stay with us, and we can help you find them? You at least gonna have a place to stay,” I replied.
“Would you really do that?” Daliah asked.
“Of course, you shouldn’t be running around out there all alone,” I continued, as I gave her a hug.
“Thank you, Stella,”
“Great, now that’s solved, let’s get going,” Armaros spoke, as he opened the car door, but I paused and hugged him again.
“Thank you for coming for me,” I spoke, as I turned to him.
“I will always come for you, even if I had to burn down every city I pass by, I would. But Stella, I need to ask you something,” he spoke seriously as he looked at Ezra and then back at me.
“Did you really go with Ezra, voluntarily?” Armaros asked me. I looked at my feet for a moment, before I turned to him again.
“Yes, I agreed to help him. He needed help to get his sister out of here, and that’s what I did,” I replied, and I could see he was far from pleased, but he just gave a small nod without saying anything else.
Then he stepped into the car, and he didn’t speak a single word for the rest of the ride home, not until the car stopped moving.
“You two can just go ahead, I’ve already made sure they know you’re coming, I need to speak to Stella alone,” Armaros stated, before any of us had a chance to step out of the car.
“Maybe it should wait until tomorrow..” Ezra tried, but he quickly regretted it.
“I said leave us!” He snapped, as both of them hurried out, leaving me in the car with Armaros.
I knew this would come, ‘cause I already knew he would be angry about it.
The moment they were out of sight, he turned towards me, looking like he was ready to go up in flames.
“How could you do this to me? After everything, we just discussed days before, and then you go behind my back again, I can’t believe you!” He scolded, making me sigh. I really didn’t wanna argue about it.
“Can we just not talk about this, right now?” I asked, as I stepped out of the car and began to walk away, but Armaros followed behind and pulled me back.
“No, we can’t! You don’t get to pick your fights this time, Stella.”
“You almost got ràped and killed, AGAIN!” he roared.
“I wanted to tell you, but there just wasn’t any time..”
“I don’t care, Stella! You make time!”
“Listen, I get you’re mad but..” I tried explaining, but it only seemed to trip him more off.
“No! Shut up, shut. UP! I don’t wanna hear it!” He growled as he lifted me up and pressed me against the car, which surprised me.
“I want you to include me, I’m not gonna take this anymore, you hear me! You will stop leaving me in the dark,” he demanded, as his lips devoured mine in a way I hadn’t felt before, like a claim, and it awoke something in me.
It made my wolf come to the surface, and resulted in me biting him in the neck as soon as he had pulled away.
I felt how Armaros’ emotions were all over the place and how shock was vibrating from him, but I was just as startled myself.
Never had I ever heard of a female wolf biting her mate, but here I was clinging to Armaros’ neck like some rabid dog.
When I finally took some courage to let go, I was sure he was going to be mad at me, but instead of anger, I felt a strong wave of desire from him.
He kissed me desperately and the metallic taste on my lips was mixed in to the kiss, as he pulled my dress over my head and tore my panties off.
It didn’t even bother me, that we were still outside and possibly in hearing range from the others, but he didn’t seem to give a damn either.
I found myself pinned against the car, completely naked, in the forest.
“You look so fücking gorgeous, babygirl!” He growled, as he walked to the front of the car and pushed me down on the hood, while I watched him standing between my legs.
“I’m going to fück you here in the forest like I’ve never done it before, so you better prepare for what’s coming, babygirl!” He stated in a husky voice, and I felt so hot and nervous at the same time, but I couldn’t help but want him to do it.
“I’m all yours,” I moaned when I felt him leave a trail with his tongue on my inner thigh, before he did just what my body wanted him to do, like he could read my every need.
[..]
We are here for the girl, so hand her over and no one will get hurt,” one of them spoke as he stepped forward.
“That’s not really a necessary proposal, ‘cause I’ll make sure someone will get hurt if you so much as consider touching her!” Dagon snapped, as he pulled out his gün.
“You really think you have a say, you motherf..” the guy growled, but the one next to him put his hand in front of him when he stepped forward.
“Now settle down all of you, listen mate, this is werewolf affairs, and you clearly aren’t one, so why not stay out of it?” He spoke calmly.
“Sorry, mate, but it still not gonna happen, she is with me, and I’m not letting her out of my sight!” He snarled.
“We are not here to cause her any harm. You see, we are here because she is our Alpha’s mate, so you need to let her go,” he replied, making both Bella and Dagon stare at them in shock.
“If that’s true, why isn’t he here himself?” Bella spoke, as she crossed her arms, not believing a word of it.
“He wanted to, but our pack is kinda vulnerable at the moment, so he can’t stay away from there for too long. So, he sent us to look for you; I’m Parker, by the way, the Beta of the Green Oak Pack,” he replied, as he gave a small bow.
He was taller than the three others, and quite muscular, which made her wonder if this was the beta, what would their Alpha look like? It scared her, ’cause she already knew about their reputation.
“I’ve heard of your pack. You aren’t known to be very popular,” Bella spoke as she took a step back.
“Yeah, well, our reputation might not be that clean, but we protect our own, and you being the future Luna, make it our duty to make sure of your safety,” he answered, making Bella frown.
“Your Alpha is known to be one of the most ruthless pack leaders in these parts of the country, they say he even killed his own father to take over the pack!” She shot.
“That’s just the tradition of our pack, when a new Alpha is to claim his rightful place as Leader they will fight to death,” he shrugged.
“That is such an outdated mindset, I’m not gonna take any part in such a thing!” Bella hissed.
“Well, that’s not really your choice, is it?” The other guy stated.
“And what is that supposed to mean?” Bella snarled, as he just looked at her while he grinned.
“You are a woman, you have three jobs, take care of your mate’s needs, cook and deliver and foster his cubs, as you see making decisions is not one of them,” he spoke.
“Harley!” Parker warned, as he looked at him.
“What? That’s the truth, if she was my mate I’ve already put her in her place for speaking like that,” he hissed, as he glared at her.
“Try, and you’ll see what happens!” Dagon then sneered, as he racked the slit on the gün.
“Everyone just calm down already, no one is harming anyone here, okay? How about, you meet him, and if you aren’t interested, then you can reject him, then you and your demon here, can be on your way?” He spoke, as Bella looked behind her, and realized some more wolves had been showing up.
“It really doesn’t seem like we’re given much of a choice!” She hissed.
“One meeting is all he asks of you,” he replied, and a sigh left her lips as she looked at Dagon.
“I’ll give him ten minutes, and then we are out of there,” she shot.
“That’s all he wants,”
As they arrived at the pack, Dagon was looking around. It was nothing like the other packs or the tribe he had seen before.
There were no cabins or houses, just several tents, and some fireplaces around the area.
“The tent over there is the Alpha’s, you just wait here, he wanna talk to Bella alone,” Parker spoke. Dagon glanced at Bella, who nodded, and placed a hand on his arm.
“It will be okay, I’ll be back before you know it,” she assured him, and then followed Parker, as he pulled the cover aside before she walked in and Parker followed right behind.
When 15 minutes had passed by, Dagon started to get worried, but then he finally saw Parker walk over to him, but Bella wasn’t with him.
“I’m not sure what this means, but she asked me to give you this,” he spoke, as he handed Dagon a ring, which made him sigh despondent.
“She wanna stay?” he spoke, as he fisted his hand around the ring.
“I’m sorry mate, but the matebond is just stronger than you might wanna believe, it changes things.. No matter how much you might have meant to her, a mate bond is just.. Different. You can go talk to her about it, if you like, but I must warn you, even I had to step out,” Parker spoke, as he put a hand on Dagon’s shoulder, but he stepped away.
“Don’t!” Dagon hissed.
“Just tell her that.. You know what, forget it!” He dismissed, before he started to walk back to his car.
He sat down and just stared at the ring for a moment.
[Flashback]
“Bella, could you come over here for a second, please?” Dagon spoke, while he patted his hand on the bed.
“What’s wrong?” Bella asked, when she sat down next to him.
“I wanna give you something,” Dagon spoke, as he placed a wrapped square with a little bow on it, in Bella’s hands.
“What is it?” She smiled, as she ripped off the red wrapping paper and looked at the little blue box in her hands.
“Open it, and you’ll find out,” Dagon grinned as she opened the lid, and took out a small gold ring.
“Oh, Dagon, this is too much,” Bella started, as her eyes flickered between the ring and him, clearly worried, but he just shook his head and took the ring, before placing it on her finger.
“I want you to wear this. If you, one day, don’t wanna be with me anymore, then you can just give me this back. I won’t bother you about it, I will let you go,” Dagon spoke, as he held on to her hand with both of his, as he looked at her.
“This is a lovely gift, Dagon, thank you so much.” She cried, as she hugged him.
[End of flashback]
[Stella’s POV]
“Armaros? There is something I think you should know,” I spoke, as I had put my clothes back on.
“What is it?” He asked when I sat back down.
When I was talking to Damon, he told me about your mother,”
“So? What about it?” He spoke as I felt him get more distant.
“Armaros, she didn’t leave you,” I revealed as he frowned.
“Damon sent her away because he believed she was making you soft. He wanted to form you in his own image, so that’s why he did what he did,” I explained, as he seemed taken aback, and looked up towards the sky.
“I spent so many years hating her for leaving me with him, and then it wasn’t even her choice to begin with,” he spoke, as he closed his eyes and sighed.
I leaned in and kissed his cheek as he opened his eyes again and stared at me.
“It’s not your fault, you were just a kid, and Damon lied to you. I’m sure she would understand, if she knew what you’ve been through,” I defended, as he started smiling as he removed some of my hair.
“You are one odd lass, babygirl.”
“Why odd?” I asked,
“You find a way to see the good in every person you meet, even people you haven’t met. I found it odd to begin with, but now it’s the thing I love the most about you, it makes you unique, and well.. You,”
