~~Quinn's PoV~~ That nervous flutter hits my stomach again as I drive up to the palace the next morning with Rosie in the back seat, the same feeling I had when I opened my apartment door yesterday and saw Carter there. I could tell myself it's nerves about my new job, about getting back to work after my leave, or about leaving Rosie for the whole day, but I know those are all only half-truths. The bigger truth is that it's anticipation about seeing Carter again. The memory of his kiss last night and the way his hands felt against my skin, strong but gentle, kept me up for far too long, and it's hard to banish it completely from my thoughts now either. We'll be working, I remind myself firmly as the helpful attendant at the staff parking lot directs me to my new parking spot. Nothing's
