Annabel was bothered about Juliet's sudden change of tone and decided to question Juliet about her sudden change of mood.
“What is the problem?”Annabel asked with worries laced in her tone.
“I just wanted to let you know that you shouldn’t forget about the lie we told.You are a married woman and you should act like one”Juliet reminded her about what they had to do to get her the job.
“Is that all?”Annabel asked, wondering if she was done.Juliet nodded softly.
“For a moment I got really scared,I won’t forget about being married, I will always keep that in mind”She assures Juliet with a bright smile on her face.
“It is time for me to finally leave, you should focus on your work and don’t get into any trouble.And most importantly stay away from those brothers especially the younger one”Juliet seriously warned her.
“I will stay away from them mom”Annabel jokingly said giggling a little.
“I wish you can also work here with me as well”Annabel admits, pouting a little.
“You know how distracted you get when I am around, I definitely don’t want that to happen”Juliet pointed out,she held Annabel’s hands.
They both hugged each other, they both needed the hug for comfort. it won’t be easy for them in the long run and that’s why they need each other at all cost to rely on.
“Our lives will turn out just fine” Annabel assures as soon as she breaks the hug.
“You need to go back to cleaning now, I don’t want the grumpy lady to come for you,”Juliet tells her.
“I will be going now, I promise to visit during the weekends”Annabel promised, giving her a warm smile before she eventually leaves the room.
Juliet couldn’t help herself from shedding tears as soon as Annabel left, she didn’t know how she could tell Annabel that she had been fired from her place of work. Juliet decided to keep it to herself because she doesn’t want Annabel to worry.
‘It is just a job, I will get another one’ She mutters, cleaning her tears.
Albert rushed into the house, Tracy was already at the restaurant waiting for him. Apparently his dad told her about the lunch a lot earlier than Albert expected.
“Ouch!!…” Annabel cries out in pain.
“I am so sorry” Albert apologised immediately when he bumped into Annabel.
As soon as Annabel looked up to see the person that bumped into her, she immediately lowered her gaze.
“It is my fault sir, I wasn’t paying attention to my surroundings”She apologised with fear in her tone.
“You don’t need to be sorry, it is my mistake and I should be careful next time” he apologised.
“I will leave then”
“Wait, you don’t have to leave”He tries to stop her.
“You seem to be in a hurry for something, I shouldn’t delay you”Annabel uttered with her gaze still on the floor.
“Honestly, it is really not that important,”Albert admits.
Annabel is feeling uncomfortable about this situation, all she could think about was the fact that Juliet said that she should stay away from her brothers and now it seems like they don’t want to stay away from her.
“I really need to go back to work sir!”Annabel uttered with an irritated tone.
“I guess I shouldn’t stop you then”Albert sighs as he makes way for her to leave, she immediately walks away.
Albert hurried to his room to get dressed for his lunch date with his fiancé. Albert is nutting his tie staring at himself in the huge mirror in front of him. All he could think about was Annabel and how he felt attracted to her.
‘I need to sleep with her just once so I can get her out of my f*****g mind!’ He yells.
He starts to pace around to think about the positive outcome of sleeping with her and not the negative outcome.
‘I mean she is a married woman, but that doesn’t stop me from sleeping with her if I really wanted to’ He blurted out loud with desperation in his voice.
‘What the f**k am I thinking about, sleeping with a married woman! I must have totally lost my mind for a second,’He scoffs, trying to divert his thoughts off her.
Albert finally got ready for his date.He looks so handsome with his blue T-shirt and a white coat and a pair of fitted Jean trousers with a nice shoe.
Tracy was waiting for Albert, she was slowly losing her patience but she tried to cover up with a smile imprinted on her face.
“Sorry I am late, work today was hectic and I had no idea the date was gonna be this early”Albert immediately apologised before sitting down.
Tracy’s mood was lightened up as soon as she saw Albert
“You are always late for everything”She frowns.
“Don’t be mad at me” Albert sneered looking at her.
“You know I can never stay mad at you, and that is why we are childhood besties”She flashed him a bright smile.
“Have you had anything to eat yet?” He asked, feeling a bit awkward.
“Not really, I was waiting to have lunch with you”Tracy takes out the menu,her eyes scanned through the paper.
“You shouldn’t have waited for me, now you must be really hungry”Albert blurted out.
“That’s weird,”Tracy mutters.
“What do you mean by that?”He asks with confusion
“Aren’t you being a little bit nice today?”She asked, giving him a suspicious look.
“What is that supposed to mean?” He asks again.
“Usually you wouldn’t care less about if I have eaten or not,”Tracy pointed out.
“I guess I have been a bad friend to you then” he says, she nods.
“Let’s forget about that, what do you want to have for lunch?” She asks with her eyes on the menu.
“I will have whatever you are having,” he says.
“Okay then,we will stir fried pasta then”She tells him with a smile
“Waiter, we will have this”Tracy points to a picture on the menu.
“Right away ma”The waiter bowed before leaving to get their order.
Albert doesn’t know if he should go with Andrew’s plan. He already feels bad for coming late and now he has to act shady towards her, he doesn’t think it is a good idea anymore.
“Tracy, I don’t want to get married to you”Albert finally blurted out, making Tracy's eyes widen a little.
“You are my childhood bestie and I don’t think it will be fair to keep you in this kind of loveless marriage”He admits looking her straight in the eye.
“I never said I was complaining”Tracy scoffs but seconds later a smile spreads across her thin lips.
“I want us to get married, with you I know I can get all the freedom I want and you can have all the freedom you want”She added,her words sounded in parables to Albert as he was clueless on what she meant by that.
“What do you mean by that?”Albert asks with a confused tone.
“I am saying it will be an open marriage, you can have your freedom to do whatever you like and I will have my own freedom to do whatever I like”She explains further.
“And you are okay with it?”Albert asks, watching her reaction carefully.
“Of course I am okay with it. I know about your promiscuity and I know you will end up cheating on me, so it will be for the best if we result in an open marriage” she took a glass of wine and smiled at him.
Albert doesn’t know how to feel about this, he never knew that Tracy knows exactly the kind of person he is especially when it involves women.
“I don’t accept it, I don’t think I can ever disrespect you in that way”Albert scoffs in disbelief.
“You mean you have been faithful ever since we got engaged?”Tracy's words made Albert look away awkwardly.
“That's what I thought,So you shouldn’t have any problem with this, we both know our parents want us to get married at all cost and no matter how many times we say No, we can’t go against their wishes” she added explaining further on how it was important for them to get married.
“I honestly don’t know how to feel about this, I have to think about it,” Albert felt something was a bit off about everything.
“There is actually nothing to think about, just agree to it”Tracy gave him an assuring smile.
“Okay,I agree,”Albert uttered, earning a smile from Tracy.
“That’s good then.Oh! Our pasta is here,”Tracy excitedly announced on seeing the waitress coming to their table.
They both enjoyed their meal, and talked about their childhood experience and how much fun they had when they were younger.
“I think it's time I headed home,” Tracy announced.
“I will drop you off,” Albert offers.
“No it’s fine,My driver will be here soon”She sheepishly turned down his offer.
Few minutes later Tracy’s driver came and she left with him leaving Albert alone in the restaurant.
‘I honestly hope I don’t regret this’ Albert mutters to himself.
Annabel was dusting the couches in the living room,Mrs Jones sighted her and immediately walked towards her with a cup of coffee in her hands.
“Sir Andrew wants his cup of coffee,so here go give it to him” Mrs Jones ordered before handing her the cup of coffee.
“I haven’t finished the work you assigned to me”Annabel immediately pointed out, hoping she will ask another maid to go give the coffee.
“You can always come back to it”She stated coldly, Annabel nodded.
Annabel didn't want to go into his room, all she could think about was what happened the last time she went in there.
‘I just want to work here quietly without any problems or whatsoever, but that doesn’t seem to be happening with these brothers around’ Annabel utters to herself with anger in her tone.
She knocked at the door gently and was told to come in immediately. Annabel was shocked with what she saw as soon as she entered.
