Albert turns to look at her, he couldn’t get a glimpse of her face because her gaze is on the ground.
“You don’t have to look down, you can always look up to talk to me” he says with a friendly tone.
“No sir, it will be disrespectful of me to stare at you” she says with fear in her tone.
Albert couldn’t help but be amazed by the house keeper’s reaction.
“What is your name?” he asks calmly.
“My… name… is.. Annabel” she stammered.
“That is such a beautiful name”
“Thank you sir” she stuttered “sir, your father calls for you” she says with her gaze still on the ground.
“What does he want?” He asks coldly.
“I have no idea about that,” she replies.
“Thanks for informing me,” he says calmly.
“I will take my leave then”
“Wait, don’t leave” he says as he gets up from the couch. He majestically walked slowly towards Annabel. Annabel’s heart skipped a beat knowing he was coming towards her, she took a step back when he got closer.
“You don’t need to be scared about anything, I won’t hurt you” he says in a very seductive tone. Annabel was starting to feel a little bit uncomfortable but she didn't dare to stop him.
“You father will be expecting you sir” she says to distract him a little, but it seems it wasn’t working because he kept on coming closer to her “I am a married woman!” She yells. Albert stopped immediately after he heard those words.
“You are married!” He says with a shocked tone.
“Yes I am married” she stuttered.
“I had no idea that you are married, I am so sorry” he apologised immediately.
“It is fine” she says as she ran out, she didn’t wait for him to excuse her.
‘She is married!’ He says in a shocking tone.
Annabel was panting when she got out, she couldn’t believe what just happened between her and Albert.
‘What just happened?’ She asks herself. ‘Did he try to kiss me or something?’ she says in disbelief. ‘No…. I don’t think so, maybe I was just overthinking it. It is time for me to go get some sleep since my work is done for today,’ she says as she runs to her room.
‘f**k! She is f*****g married, how didn’t I see this coming. My mom wasn’t going to hire someone as beautiful as she is knowing the kind of sons she has, she definitely had to be married’ he says with annoyance.
The thought of getting her to sleep with him was over for Albert, he believes it is just lust and he doesn’t really like the new housekeeper, sleeping with her will only make him forget about her immediately but now it is not possible knowing that she is a married woman.
“Albert, glad you could join me for a drink” Mr Torres said as soon as he saw him.
“I heard you called for me,” he says with a cold tone.
“Of course I did, can’t a father and son spend some quality time together” he says with a suspicious smile.
Albert sigh.. he eventually sat down besides his dad to have a drink with him in the bar in their big beautiful mansion.
“So why did you actually call me?” He asks.
“Calm down son, it is not every time I need something from you” he says with a cocky smile.
“This is very unlike you,” he says.
“Fine, you know your old man” he says with a half laugh “I want us to talk about your plans about your fiancé?” He asks.
“What else do I have to plan about it again, you and mom had made all the arrangements already. it was never my plan to get engaged with her but now we are engaged, so all the planning is for you guys” he says with a faint smile.
“I do all that I do for the benefit of the entire family, getting married to that family will only build our status in the society” he says.
“This is totally bullshit! You are selling your son for society” he says with annoyance.
“I am not selling my son, what is the big deal about getting married to her, you guys are childhood friends” he says.
“Exactly! We are childhood friends and now you guys have forced us to get married” he says with annoyance.
“What do you mean by force you, doesn’t she want to get married to you?” He asks with confusion.
“No! She isn’t ready for marriage as well” he replies.
“That’s surprising, her dad told me how excited she is for the marriage”
“I’m guessing she doesn’t want to disappoint her parents,” Albert says.
“Getting married will only set a good example for your brother. You think I don’t know about the lifestyle you both have been living. This is the only way you can change that lifestyle, '' he says with a smile.
“Are you done? I really need to get some sleep”
“Yes I am done” Albert stood up to leave “ one more thing, you will be having dinner tomorrow with her” he added.
“What the actual f**k dad!” He yells.
“Don’t use that tone on me and do as I say, you can leave now” he says with annoyance.
Albert left his presence with annoyance.
Annabel had a quick shower and she got ready to sleep but all she could think about was what happened to her earlier with sir Albert.
‘What are these feelings I am feeling right now’ she says out loud as she touches her chest ‘my heart is beating so fast’ she says out loud.
The thoughts of getting intimate with sir Albert came to her mind but she immediately debunked that thought.
‘Juliet told me to focus on work and I shouldn’t think about any other thing and I should definitely stay away from those brothers’ she said to herself before she eventually slept off.
“Are you awake bro!” Albert whispers.
“Sure, come on in” he replies with a raspy voice.
“How are you feeling now?” He asks.
“I feel so much better” he says with a faint smile “shouldn’t you be sleeping now” he says with curiosity.
“I just couldn’t sleep,” Albert says, feeling restless.
“Which woman is it this time?” he says with a smile on his face.
“The new housekeeper” he blurted out.
“Are you crazy, that cloth thief?” he says with annoyance.
“I have been trying to get her off my mind since bro, but it isn’t working” he says feeling stressed out.
“That’s crazy bro. Just sleep with her and get it off your mind” he says.
“That’s the problem, I can't,” he says.
“Don’t tell me you actually like her,” he says with confusion.
“No, I can’t sleep with her because she is married,” he says out loud.
“f**k! I didn’t know she was married. How did you find that out?” He asks.
“I was being my normal jerky self, so I tried to come closer to her and probably kiss her but she stopped me and told me she was married” he says.
“That’s crazy bro, we don’t do married women”
“That’s why I am a little bit worried. I don’t want anyone committing a sin because of me” he says.
“You have to get her off my mind bro, maybe you should f**k someone else. Your days of being single are slowly coming to end” he says with a half laugh.
“I am also stressed out about the fact that they want me to get married to Tracy, my own childhood best friend,” he says with annoyance.
“You can’t go against dad wishes' ' Andrew says. “What is the new housekeeper name?” He asks.
“Annabel, that’s her name” he says.
“Her name also starts with the letter A just like ours” he says laughing out loud.
“It isn’t funny bro, I need a solution” he says with annoyance.
“The only solution is to stay away from her and find someone else” he says.
“I think I like your idea, that is what I will do” he says with a smile.
“Now get the f**k out, I need to get some sleep” Andrew says.
“You don’t have to be rude,” he says as he smacks his head.
“Why will you do that” he whines “I am a patient” he pouted his lips.
“See you tomorrow bro” he says as he leaves his room.
‘He will get over her, we always do’ he says as he falls asleep.
Annabel wakes up and the only thoughts she has is that she should not bump into Albert anywhere.
‘I have to make sure we don’t see each other, it will be very awkward for me if I see him’ she says has she gets ready for work.
“Annabel! You are a minute late” Mrs Jones said when she saw her.
“I am so sorry, I didn’t set the alarm properly” she says with a sad tone.
“We need to get started with work right now!” She says with a restless tone. “Take this coffee to Sir Albert’s room” Annabel’s heart skipped a beat as soon as she heard his name.
