Five years later . . .
Darius Greyson's POV
I still can not believe it had been five years already. Evelyn and I had gotten married when we had returned from her nana's funeral. Not even a year later, we had our first child together. I am very blessed to have met my beautiful, kind-hearted, loving wife five years ago today.
With a heavy sigh, I closed my computer in my office at the gym and made my home. I could feel a smile grace my sharp features. I Just remember the day my wife told me she was pregnant with our son, Carter. The moment he was born was the moment I knew my life was complete. Knowing how much my love for my wife grew even more. She carried our son for nine months and was still the most beautiful woman I have ever known in my life. I am very blessed to have her in my life. I parked my truck into our driveway, and I noticed my son was outside with his mother sitting on her lap watching the sunset in the sky turn different colours.
I got out of my truck and locking it up. Grabbing the gift, I had bought earlier today for my wife for our fifth wedding anniversary. Making my way towards my family, I placed the small gift next to my wife, giving her a kiss upon her sweet plump red lips. I quickly grabbed my son and gave him a kiss on the crown of his head. I sat down next to my wife and having my son sitting on my lap. Carter curled on my lap, sucking his small thumb in his mouth. I let out a small chuckle watching my sweet boy fall asleep on my lap. "Welcome Home, Daddy," my lovely wife said. I turned my eyes to my wife, leaning in and kissing her sweet lips once again. "Happy anniversary, baby girl," I said, giving my wife the small gift box. I stood with my sleeping son in my arms and helped my wife stand up as well.
Leading my family inside our home. We both made it to Carter's room and placed him in bed. This was precisely how I had wished for my life to end. With a wonderful and beautiful woman next to me, a family of my own. This is our happy ever after. "Daddy Darry, I love your gift. I also have a gift for you as well." My sweet wife said with a hint of mischief in her voice. I helped put on the necklace I bought my wife and placed it around her slender neck. It was a heart-shaped locket with a picture of our family inside of Evelyn, me, and our son Carter. I raised an eyebrow, amused with my wife's antics. I grabbed her small delicate hand into my own and made our way into our room. I sat down on the edge of our bed, watching my wife walk into our bathroom. I narrowed my eyes in thought, wondering what my wife could tell me.
Especially on our fifth wedding anniversary. "Daddy Darry, here." My wife Evie handed me a small black and white picture. At first, I was confused, but it clicked in. My eyes widen, knowing that our family is now going to grow even more. I jumped up and picked up my wife carefully into my arms. I kissed her lips aggressively and lovingly. "Thank you, baby's girl! This is the best gift I could ever ask for. I love you, my sweet angel." I told my wife. I was so happy to know she was pregnant again with our second child. Hearing her sweet laughter ring in our room. I knew I loved this woman to the moon and back. She has given me everything I have ever wanted. This is our happy ever after. "Love you too, Daddy. So, much. To the moon and back," my wife said to me sweetly. I helped her get into our bed, and I followed right behind, stripping off my dirty clothes and climbing under the covers with my wife. I pulled her more petite body close to my own and placed my hand on her stomach, where are our child resides.
Feeling this happy euphoria of happiness consumes my heart. I put one final kiss upon Evelyn's Forehead, and we both cuddle together, letting our love and joy spread within our own hearts. Sleep followed behind us. "Thank you for giving me this chance to have my Happy Ever After," was my last thought. Darkness invaded my mind. I felt how tired I was, placing my head in the crook of my wife's neck. I put one more kiss on her neck, letting her know I was here. "Goodnight, my love," I said tiredly. "Goodnight, Daddy," Evelyn said quietly, leaving a kiss on my Adam's apple of my throat. I let sleep finally take over my mind. Tomorrow is going to be a new adventure in our lives. Knowing we are going to have another addition to our family.
The End
