Nessie's pov:
I hurriedly strode to the main door, and opened the door as I was getting late for the party, but got astounded to see Richard, my mouth opened in o shape and my eyes almost bulged out.
He had been standing at my door, wearing a sexy black tuxedo and holding my favorite mountain lilies in his hand.
Damn!
God, what you made this man so handsome and the way he smiles, Haiii! If he keeps staring at me like this, I will end up falling in love with him.
Are you out of your mind? Ness, instead of thinking about what he has been doing at your door, you have been checking him out as if you have never seen the handsome man before.
I was about to ask him what he has been doing here, but my words died in my mouth when I witnessed him checking me out.
Thank God, I wasn't the only one who was checking him out!
I cleared my throat to get his attention but the shameless Richard didn't stop ogling me. He has been staring at me from top to bottom as if he has been checking some girl for the first time.
Soon his gaze meets with mine, he made an uncomfortable face, then scratch his back head, I raised my both brows, and turned my face slightly.
Seeing my questioning expression, he smiled dashingly and then passed me the bouquet.
I took the flowers with a tight lip smile,
"I came to pick you up...!" Richard said, but I frowned lines appeared on my forehead
"But why? " I asked,
"Because the party is at Leonard's mansion..." Richard replied, with a sigh and shoving his one palm into his pant pocket.
"So?"
Richard made an adorable irritated face, "Strangers aren't allowed in Leonard's mansion and James wanted Kelly to come with him, that's why James and Kelly requested me to pick you up," He explained with a forced smile.
Should I believe him?
Or should I call Kelly and ask her?
I was in my thoughts when I heard the sound of my cell phone, I pulled my cell phone out and picked up Kelly's call.
"Hy," I said on the call
"Sorry babe, I wanted to come to pick you up but James had some work at the office, can you please come with Richard?" Hearing her words, I sighed in relief
"Okay, I'll meet you at the venue..." I said, cutting the call
I looked at Richard but he instantly removed his gaze from me.
I blushed at the thought that he was checking me out while tugging my hair behind my ear, "Can we go now?" He asked and I nodded my head
Richard was about to open his car door but I stopped him by showing my palm to him, I don't know why but I don't like It when a man opens the door to ladies.
Weird! I know it is, but I can't do anything, and neither I can change myself.
"What happened?" Richard asked, staring at me with one raised brow.
Stop being so cute! ** I said Richard in my mind,
"Nothing!" I replied while opening the door and sitting inside the car
For a few seconds, Richard kept staring at me but didn't say anything, I turned my face to him, " Aren't we getting late for the party?" I asked, licking my lip gently
He once again smiled cutely, while shaking his head and then sat inside the car.
While driving, all the time he had the sweetest smile over his gross and that smile was putting the cherry on his breathtaking looks.
For a few minutes, we didn't exchange a word.
Damn! Why has this silence been feeling so awkward?
Richard cleared his throat to get my attention, I instantly turned my face to him.
"So you are from the USA...?" He asked
I turned my attention back to the busy road, "Yes! " I replied shortly, as I was feeling very uncomfortable.
This was the first time in my life that I was going to attend a party with a strange guy.
Of course, I am scared, but don't know why my heart had been saying that Richard won't hurt me.
Suddenly Richard increased the speed,
Is he doing this purposely to get my attention?
I instantly turned my face and look at Richard but witnessed genuine tension lines over his forehead.
What's wrong with him?
"What's wrong?" I asked him while trying hard to control my heavy breathing.
He didn't say anything but with every passing second his driving was getting wild.
I grabbed my seatbelt tightly, why the heck he has been driving so fast on such a crowded road, "Please, please slow down the speed... '' I told him, due to fear of getting hurt my voice wasn't coming out of my mouth properly as my tongue was trembling badly.
"Stay calm, someone is chasing us, " hearing his words, I instantly looked back, then I turned my gaze back on Richard.
"It's Tyler, my security guard, and my school friend as well..." Hearing my words, Richard got relaxed but soon tension lines were replaced by surprised expressions.
"Are you a celebrity?" He asked but before I reply to him, he shook his head with a negative expression.
"No, you can't be the celebrity! " he looked at me for a second then turned his attention back on the road.
"Are you the daughter of some business tycoon?" He asked but once again shook his head.
"You can't be a daughter of a business tycoon as I already knew all the business tycoons of the USA," Richard said.
Before I say anything, my cell phone started ringing, I picked up the call.
Tyler: Why did you guys take the opposite route? This road will lead you guys to the forest area..."
"We're on the right track, keep chasing the car!" I told Tyler
"Ness there is no property except..." Tyler stopped talking
Now, what happened to him?
"What happened Tyler?" I asked him, and at the same time we entered the private area.
The place looked extremely scary, there was huge fencing on both the sides of roads, and the fencing was protected by electricity.
Suddenly My heartbeat got low and a gust of uneasiness hit me so hard that a chill ran down my spine and goosebumps appeared on my skin.
I started feeling weird sensations in my body and my grip automatically tightened on my clutch.
"Why is there fencing..." I asked Richard, but my gaze was busy staring at the fencing.
"Because it's a jungle area and wild animals roam freely here, " Richard replied.
My breath almost got stuck in my throat, and for a few minutes I was sitting like a doll, "The property belongs to Leonard Black, the man who is a mystery to the world. He is Australia's richest billionaire but maintained his good distance from the media, " Tyle said on earplugs, that was when I came back to my sense and sucked a deep breath.
I don't know anything about Leonard as I had never taken interest in knowing the business tycoons but after hearing Tyler's words, my heart started trembling badly, don't know why but I wasn't getting good feelings.
If it wasn't a big day for Kelly, I would surely tell Tyler to take me back home, "The moment James will put a ring around Kelly's finger, we'll leave from here..." I said to Tyler on call, but after hearing my words Richard instantly turned his gaze toward me.
"That's good for you because this Leonard guy is a weird personality, " Tyler said and cut the call.
I gulped my emotions with my saliva and started staring at the promise ring.
**Where are you, Theo? Where are you?
Once I find you, I promise I'll drag you back to california and never come back here again...** I said in my mind, while thinking about Theodore
"Is everything okay Ness?" Richard asked,
"Nessie, it's Nessie for you! " I said, looking into his eyes, but Richard made a surprised face as if he wasn't expecting such a reply from me.
Seeing his expression I licked my lips and made a sorry face, "Sorry! I had no plans to hurt you, actually, only my family and close friends are allowed to call me by Ness's name..."
"Oh!" Richard made oh sound so sexily that for a second my heart told me to pull his cheek, but I controlled my desires and started looking out of the car window.
The jungle was so dark and dense, just like scary movies, if the streets lights gets close, a person might lost in this area, "So will you be my friend?" Hearing Richard's words, a small smile appeared on my lips and all the fear vanished into thin air.
Instead of saying yes, I hummed in response, but hearing my hmm sound, Richard started laughing loudly.
I turned my attention to Richard and once again I completely got spellbound to see his gorgeous laugh.
Richard was truly the creation of God, he is so perfect and his smile, His smile is so magical that can vanish anyone's grief.
Richard turned his attention to me to say something but I instantly turned my gaze in the other direction
*Hope he didn't watch me staring at him dreamily like an i***t**
"You are so cute!" Hearing his compliment, a blush appeared on my cheeks.
Damn! Is he planning to kill me with his compliments and why the heck my heart has been bouncing like a bouncing ball?
