I quickly compose myself " How the hell did you get my number ?"

He was silent for a second then he said " is that how to speak to your soon to be husband ?"

I rolled my eyes " For crying out loud , it's going to be a fake marriage . Don't scare me that way . You almost gave me a heart attack there !" I said

" How did you get my number ?"

" Have you forgotten you gave it to me ? At the office ?" He said and realization dawn on me . He is right , I wrote it down on that paper he gave me

" What do you want now ?"

" Check your email . I've sent the contract to you . I'm sure you're going to like every bit of it " he said sounding more excited than I was and I felt my cheeks heating up .

" uhm... Ok fine. I'll check and give you a call " I told him pretending like I wanted the call to end. To be honest I was really enjoying his deep and nice voice. They send shiver down my spine .

" Alright Kitten " he said and ended the call.

I rolled my eyes at that. I decided to go check the contract on my system. I sat on the study chair and went through my inbox . True to his words , I found a new message so I clicked on it .

Upon opening it , I saw that the document have five pages . Like who make a contract and gives rules that has five pages ? Ofcourse Alexander Brown does . I rolled my eyes and went through the contract line by line . I need to save Ethan . This is the only way I can think of doing it .

I was kind of glad he made it known that I'll only be his bride on paper . Like hell I don't want to be known on social media . Barbara will definitely kill me if she finds out that I was about to get married to her crush . Like hell! There are lots of ladies like Barbara who won't hesitate to eat me raw .

I paused when I read a line . He stated that I'll be living with him . My eyes widen twice there size . I can't live with him . I have a life to live . I can't live with someone I don't even know . I need to address this with him . I highlighted all the ones I don't agree with . After I was done I sent a feedback to him . I sent all that I didn't agree with in the contract ,hopefully he would change it .

Soon enough , his call came through and I didn't waste any time in picking it up .

" I'm sure you saw my message " I said regretting it instantly . I shouldn't be rude . He is doing me a favor. Ok fine we are both doing each other a favor . He can't just demand where I should be and where not to be .

" I saw it and I consider them useless cos this is my contract and there will never be a change . It's either you agree to all that was stated or let your brother rot in jail " he said sounding so rude.

" This isn't fair on me , you know I have a life to live . I can't be glued to you . I have a job . I have a career to pursue . Please don't do this to me " I cried out .

Alexander let out a sigh " I've been too nice to you . I'm going to end this call if you don't give your response . I don't know if you get what I said right ? I won't make any changes so you better start getting use to it "

I hate him so much right now . I knew he was a monster in human form , he just proved it .

" I don't want to end my career " I cried out

" I'm ending this call if you don't make up your mind on what you want . I'm not forcing you here . It's more like a favor " he sounded like I wasn't also doing him a favor .

" But I'm also doing you a favor too" I stated the obvious .

" True , I won't deny that . This is why I've decided to pay you for your service as long as you be a good girl to me "

He wants to pay me ? That sounds like a good deal right ? But what about my career ? I can't just put it on pause . We need to come to an agreement .

" I want to work . I really have to work if I get married to you "

" Why are you so desperate about working when I already told you that I'll pay you at the end of every month until the contract is over " he said already getting annoyed .

" The thing is , I already applied for an admission at a modeling school and I know they will call me soon to start schooling "

" That ain't any of my concern . I have a friend who will put you through since you insist . You don't have to worry about working at any modeling school " he said and I felt a little bit glad

" She would come over to my house when the time comes . Are you satisfied with that ?"

Why is he nice all of a sudden ? Then I realize that he is waiting for my response so I answered .

" Sure I'm good with that " I stated

" Great . We don't have much time for the wedding . If you check the news , you'd see that I've already announced the engagement . You don't need to fright about it cos I didn't put out your picture "

I felt a little calm when he said that . It would have been a very huge issue if he dare to put my picture out there .

" Thanks I guess . But isn't that so soon ? I don't even have a wedding dress ! Heck not even a suitable shoe"

" You don't have to worry about that cos it's already covered " he answered

" isn't that a bit too much on you ?"

" You have nothing to worry about that , just get yourself ready for a wedding and then it'll be all over after a year " he stated

" Ok fine , I accept . I agree to marry you "

" Then come to my office and sign the contract earliest tomorrow " Alexander said to me

" but .. what about my brother ?! Will he still be in jail until tomorrow ?"

" I've already set him free . He is a free man as we speak " he answered

That's a relieve I think .

" don't even think of doing anything silly cos I set him free . You know I can send him back if you don't comply " he warned

" is that a threat Mr. Alexander?"

" You may take it as you like but don't go against the contract cos it'll cost him dearly ". He warned again

For some reason I kind of feel scared about the whole thing . It felt like I was selling my soul to the devil . An handsome devil I must says .

Ethan went with his words . He finally pack into uncle Ken's home . I'm glad he is trying to do the right thing now . Uncle Ken is the only person that can keep an eye on him . I bet that is the reason why he doesn't want to go . That boy is too stubborn for his own good I must say .

I was dressed in a simple green gown . I'm getting ready to sign the contract today . I know it's going to be a very long day . For some reason I don't know why I was taking my time to dress up .

It's just a contract , Lisa . My subconscious scolded

I exhaled " it's just a damn contract "

I put on my shoes and made my way for the door . Let see how this go . My cab was already waiting . I got inside and told him where to take me .

My phone rang in my bag so I retrieved it and when I saw the caller ID, I almost throw my phone but thanks to my reflex, I held it firmly.It's Collins my ex .

What the hell !

What does he want this time ?He is an ass and I regret ever dating someone like him . He cheated on me with my best friend Allyson . I have broken things off with them and block them from reaching me . I don't know how he managed to have my new number. What a world we live in.

I was so pissed that all I did was stare at the ringing phone . I know him too well . He would still call again so I decided to pick the damn call and get it over and down with .

" what do you want ?" I asked rudely

" Lisa please listen to me . I know this might sound crazy to you but please just give me a chance to explain "

I scoffed " to explain what collins ?"
