Theo   The air in the Crimson Crest garden was crisp and the sound of rustling leaves filled my ears. Yet, Ilona’s shocking and punishing words echoed in my ears loud and clear.   “It’s time you leave Crimson Crest.”   At first, I thought that I had misheard, but the serious look on Ilona’s face denied it. She meant it with every fiber of her being and it broke my heart. Kai whimpered within me and crawled into a dark corner, crushed by her statement.   I never meant to order her or call her selfish.
