"She's pregnant. Two weeks pregnant." I heard a man's voice.
"She's two weeks pregnant? Doctor, are you sure of that?" The unmistakable voice of my enraged father fell into my ears.
As soon as I recognized it, I tried my best to open my eyes all to no avail.
My struggling had probably alerted them as I soon felt the Doctor's stethoscope on my chest.
Then my eyelids were opened by him. "She's out of danger now and should be up in a matter of hours."
As soon as he finished speaking, I forced my eyes to open and it met with that of my father's.
His gaze was now filled with fury as he looked over at me. Having no idea what I did, I lowered my head to play with my blue hospital wear.
"Scarlett Kendrick, I see you're determined to kill me before my time!" I heard my father's angry voice.
Nervously, I gripped my dress and bit down hard at my lower lip.
"Calm down, Felix. She's just a child and doesn't know what she's doing." A voice I detested said.
Only then did I raise my head to see my stepmother, Tina Jensen, walking towards my father.
"A child?" I heard him scoff. "She's 19years old and is old enough to differentiate right from wrong! I indulged her so much in the past that she took up stripping work when I have enough money to support her! I overlooked that and covered up her mess and now I find out she's pregnant!"
Wait, what? I'm pregnant? The doctor was referring... to me.
"Before you get upset at her father, I think we need to conduct a test on her. Who knows, she might be... infected." It was the unmistakable voice of Leah.
"That's not true! I've never slept with a man!" I countered, directing a hostile gaze at Leah.
Unexpectedly, I felt someone hit me. When I realized it was my father, I broke down. "Da..ddy—"
"I've tried to put up with you for as long as I can remember but each time, you keep pushing me to my limits!" He yelled, the veins on his forehead pushing out.
I felt so aggrieved. The fact my father didn't believe me made me shudder. "Daddy, you have to believe me."
My voice shook as I said so. My body suddenly became hot, my thoughts became distorted. Soon, I plunged into darkness.
"What's happening—"

Felix Kendrick had never expected his daughter to fight back at me. So when she lunged at him with crazed eyes, he hadn't taken a step back as it was none of his expectations.
"Scarlett Kendrick! Will you behave?!" He bellowed angrily.
To his surprise, he saw raw hatred emanating from the girl's eyes. "I hate you father! Because of you my mother is rotting deep in the grave while you're here acting all innocent with that little bit.ch!"
Tina glanced at her daughter before taking a step forward. She lunged herself towards Scarlett and just like she thought, the latter let go of Felix and grabbed her.
Felix was still shaken to his daughter's violent side that he failed to realize his wife was being beaten up by her.
Leah on the other hand smirked and ran out of the room, shouting frantically, "Help! Help!"
Leah Jensen was an important figure and her voice was not mistakeable. Hence, the nurses around ran into the ward.
When they saw the disheveled Tina and Scarlett who was like a raging beast, hitting her so hard, they froze, after all, Scarlett Kendrick was the daughter of the prominent businessman, Felix Kendrick.
They didn't realize the man was still in a daze, hence they thought he approved of his daughter hitting his wife.
Seeing this, Leah panicked. The plan couldn't go wrong no matter what!
"Father, help mother!" Her words to Felix came with a slight shove which made him snap out of his daze.
When he saw the horrible state of his wife, he immediately ordered the few doctors who had rushed in. "Quick, tranquilize her!"
The doctors had been prepared to do so at his order, they rushed at Scarlett and sank the syringe in one of her veins after much difficulty.
The woman who had been psych earlier became calm as she drifted into unconsciousness.
Felix looked towards Tina and frowned. His daughter had done a lot of damage.
One of the doctors had Scarlett's blood drawn by one of the nurses before inviting Felix to his office.
"The result will be out in a few minutes." The doctor smiled, feeling nervous.
Felix on the other hand, nodded absentmindedly.
A few minutes later, a knock sounded on the door and a nurse introduced herself as the one bringing the result.
"Here it is."
"You may leave." The doctor said, collecting the envelope from her.
The nurse glanced at Felix and a light flickered past her eyes. Outwardly, she nodded and walked out.
When the doctor read the report, he frowned slightly before handing it over to Felix. The elderly man read the report and looked towards the doctor for confirmation.
"Mr. Kendrick, it seems your daughter has been taking a lot of hard drugs for a long time. Unfortunately, it has damaged her and now she has gone... mad." The doctor explained with a sigh.
Something in Felix snapped!
"There are things my daughter can do and I won't doubt it even if a stranger tells me, but this, she can never!" Felix refuted aggressively.
The doctor's heart throbbed greatly as sweat broke out on his forehead. However, other than the inward fear he felt, his professional poised expression remained the same.
"If you doubt me sir, you can have a psychologist see your daughter!"
Felix swallowed hard, got up and left the room.
When he walked out of the corridor, he found his daughter running towards a smartly dressed man who had security trailing behind him.
"Watch out Mr. Zachary!"
