Max vs Elica III

Max is looking at the incoming ice whip. If it hits, Max is going to lose for sure. Suddenly, the world turned grey once again. He can see blue and white particles on the ice whip with two blue holding into one white and the white connected to another one, making one long chain as it continues further.

“This power again.”

Max isn’t as surprised as he enters the grey world for the first time. This time, without hesitation, he commanded the white particle to separate themselves from the blue, and when it happened, the ice whip crumbled down.

This time, looking at the phenomenon where her ice whip crumbles into nothingness, Elica is taken aback.

“What is happening?”

Elica didn’t believe that her ice whip got canceled because she lost control of it. She feels that Max must have done something to make her skill crumbles. However, looking at Max that is lying down powerlessly on the ground, she started to doubt herself.

“Was it really him that does that?”

She attempted to launch another attack since the ice whip has been gone. This time, it was a similar ice boulder move that she summoned directly on top of Max’s body. When the ice falls down and hits him, he will be defeated immediately.

Max can see white and blue particles gathering above him. He knows that it was another move that Elica initiates. Once again, he commanded the white particle to separate themselves, and it is stopping the ice boulder from forming.

Elica, who saw that squinted her eyes. She saw this happening before when Max is facing Iki and Kieran. She even started to suspect that Max has a unique ability that could cancel other heroes’ abilities.

After all, Iki uses fire, and she uses ice. It is impossible for Max to stop both of the two different elements if the answer isn’t power nullifying ability.

Max is even more surprised at his own power.

“Just what is that white particle? It could stop even Elica’s ice.”

However, this isn’t the time for Max to relax and think about that. He is still in the middle of the battle. Not to mention his condition is way worse than Elica that hasn’t suffered any damage.

Forcing himself to stand up again, Max can feel that he can keep battling if he didn’t suffer from any more attacks from Elica. With that said, Max is now walking towards Elica. Elica tried to stop him by using ice bullets, but it also crumbled down when it is a few meters from Max.

Elica didn’t panic and summoned an ice spike rising from in front of her until it reached Max. Looking at the attack, Max could still see the white particles within and separates them from the blue that is binding together with it. With that, one after another, Elica’s move has been rendered useless by Max.

She is looking at the approaching Max, Elica as if seeing a ghost in front of her. At first, she could face him directly; however, the situation has entirely changed by 180 degrees. No matter what kind of attack she is launching at him, it is all futile as everything crumbles near him.

It was as if Max’s body has a force field that couldn’t be touched by any ability that she uses on him.

Max's body is also doing better as it recuperates as he walked towards Elica. When he arrived near her, he knows that it is another time for close-range battle. Although Elica is a long-range ability user, she still knows close-range combat, and Max shouldn’t get complacent.

Just when Max wanted to attack her, Elica retaliates first. By spinning her body along with a leg kick that is aiming at Max’s head. Her slim figure is very agile as the kick wasn’t something that Max expected coming from her.

Just like her name, Frozen rose, although it looked beautiful, it comes with thorns. Max leaned his body behind to dodge the attack that was aiming for his head and tried to counter with a punch aimed at her body.

Elica’s dainty hands are gathered together and blocked Max’s punch. She tried to shoot out ice from close range after, but Max quickly ordered the white particles that are accumulated with blue to disperse.

Looking at her power that isn’t effective, Elica knows that close-range battle will be the deciding point for this match. Although it wasn’t her forte, she won’t back down. Taking out a weapon that is strapped on her thigh, she revealed a blue-colored whip.

The weapon is similar to her ice whip, only this one made from particular materials. Seeing that Elica is taking out her weapon, Max becomes more guarded. A whip doesn’t have any cutting properties, but it is very flexible and could graze the skin's surface.

The whip is proven to be a formidable opponent for Max as he is now busy trying to dodge the whip. He couldn’t attack Elica for now due to the slower body movement because of the lowered temperature from earlier and the wounds on his body.

Once again, the battle that started flashy become another muscle brawl. It wasn’t as bad when he faced Iki and Kieran since Elica is using a weapon now. If not, it will just be another boxing match.

Max, however, still has another advantage, that is, his power could still be used. He feels terrible because it will seem like he is bullying Elica, but he must admit that she isn’t an opponent that he could defeat easily, even in close range, without using tricks.

Max uses the wind to distract the direction of the whip so he can use the space created to close the distance between them. When it happened, Max immediately gets up close to her and launches his attack.

All this time, Max is using the wind as a gauntlet that is spinning as a defensive and offensive measure. Right now, he is commanding the wind swirling around his arm to become something sharper, a wind blade. The wind blade is aimed at Elica’s neck without mercy.
