Death Doctor II

Yuna swiftly followed after Death Doctor and confronted him when they arrived at the empty lot Rika mentioned earlier.

Yuna isn’t polite at all since she immediately attacked the Death Doctor without saying anything to him. Manner is used when you’re talking to your friends and relative. Against the enemy, you will do everything you can to defeat them as fast as possible while suffering the minimum damage.

Yuna launched a kick towards the Doctor’s head while her right foot is covered in flame. Max, who looked at that from afar, is impressed at the speed she summoned the fire to cover her foot.

“Air, what are you doing spacing out there? You’re not there to spectate. Leave the battle to Yuna and start keeping people away from the area. I saw two children walking from the south, and after that, you will need to go to the north side as there are four elderly people. You can leave the south side to Joey after she finished putting up a hero prohibition line.”

Max immediately returned to reality after listening to Rika’s command. He also remembers that Kalina once told her that a hero prohibition line is like a police line, but it was used by heroes when they are confronting an enemy in the area to make sure that nobody gets hurt.

Max turned his body and headed to the south while speed dashing as he utilizes the wind. His job is equally important in apprehending the villain to prevent people from getting involved in the incident and becoming a bystander victim.

While Max leaves the empty lot, Yuna’s kick that is heading straight for the villain’s head stopped midway as a giant metal hand appeared from the ground and blocked the attack. Yuna immediately kicked the ground and stepped backwards as the metal hand tried to grab her body.

“Well, well. Look what we have here. You could have started this chance meeting with a greeting. But, such rude girl, I wonder if you’ll ever find a boyfriend.”

“Bah, why do I have a boyfriend or not have anything to do with you.”

“If you have a boyfriend, he will be sad after knowing you died on my hand and might even come for revenge. But, if you don’t have a boyfriend, I can teach you the pleasure of having one before I kill you. How’s that sound?”

“Dream on! How about letting me defeat you and brings you back to jail? I’ll make sure you get the best treatment while waiting for your sentence.”

“That’s a good proposal. But, unfortunately, that’s it if you could defeat me.”

“Let’s cut the crap. I rather talk with my first to people like you.”

Yuna then throws a few fireballs which easily blocked by the giant hand. She didn’t expect the fireball to deal damage to Death Doctor. She is just doing that to buy some time and find an opening to attack.

After a few attempts, Yuna knows that her plan is not working, so she needs to change her approach. Yuna is looking at the Death Doctor while she uses her left hand to grab her right arm. Right now, she channelled the power inside her body to her right hand. Then, raising her hand towards the Death Doctor and opening her palm, a flamethrower attack comes out from Yuna’s right hand.

The Death Doctor used the giant metal hand from earlier to transformed into a shield and covered his body. But, it looks like the shield won’t be able to last long as it started to melt at the point of contact with the flame.

It has to be remembered that three years ago, Yuna’s capabilities are already at the C-rank. Right now, her strength has reached the B-rank valuation, which is stronger than the Death Doctor.

“Sh*t. I need to run away while I can.”

The Death Doctor summoned another giant shield behind the first one and uses this moment to flee while his body is still covered by the shield and out of Yuna’s sight.

While Yuna cannot see what is happening behind the shield, there’s someone who is keeping watch of the situation closely. The moment Death Doctor turned his body and started to run away; Rika immediately notified Yuna.

“Yuna, the shield is just a cover. Death Doctor is attempting to run away.”

“I understand. Thanks for the heads-up, Rika.”

Yuna stopped her attack and started to run forward, chasing after the Death Doctor.

“Damn, this girl is persistent.”

Death Doctor, who looked back and saw Yuna coming after him, is thinking hard on how to escape. From their exchange earlier, he can gauge that Yuna is more powerful than him. Not to mention he isn’t specialized in battle except when he is pushed into a corner and needed to flee.

At first, he tried to act calm as she didn’t think much of Yuna, who looked young. Never in his wildest dream, he imagined that Yuna is stronger than him.

While Yuna is chasing after Death Doctor, Rika, who is watching the situation using a drone, sends a command to Max.

“Air, the Death Doctor is trying to flee. Move to the west, and you’ll see him behind the giant rock. Try to stop the Death Doctor for a moment to let Yuna catch up with him.”

“Okay.”

Without hesitation, Max headed to the spot that Rika’s pointed out. He can see the Death Doctor is trying to run for his life as it will be over if he is caught.

“Now, what should I do to stop him?”

Max didn’t think much and tried to launch a sneak attack. Once again, he tried to use the wind bullet that he is most familiar with, but this time he channelled more power to it to increase its speed and penetrating power.

“Not yet. I need to channel more power.”

Increasing a move power is easier said than done. When a wind bullet is injected with more energy than what it usually holds, it started to run out of control, and the trajectory might run wild. That is why Max needs to concentrate on keeping the wind bullet’s form to make sure that it won’t miss and more potent than usual.

“Okay, it’s ready.”
