Finally the meetings ended and whoever was leaving left after dinner and whoever stayed went to their room. I am now getting ready to go spend my last night with my mate. I just got out the shower when the emergency alarms start ringing. My father mind links me to let me know that we are under attack. Rogues crossed our borders and are on our territory. Terrible timing. Let's go get this over with so I can go to my mate. I run downstairs and out of the house. There are people running everywhere. I shift and notice people fighting very close to the pack house. How did rogues get this close? I start killing whatever rogues are near me. I notice my father is surrounded by 4 of them. I jump and take 1 out with 1 hit, then I lunged for another quickly biting it while it whimpers, but I go for the kill. My father kills the rest. There were way more rogues than we thought. They just kept appearing. "Where are they coming from?" I linked dad "I don't know son." he linked back. The fight took some hours, but luckily, we came out on top. We had 10 dead and a couple more hurt, but they will recover in a day or 2. The dead will need a proper funeral. As for the rogues, we must burn them. By the time we clean up and burn all of the bodies I realize how late it is. I didn't see my mate and I will be late for my Alpha training. I have to leave in the next couple of hours. That's when I realize how stupid it was to agree not to give each other our phone numbers or any private information. Why didn't I ask her what pack she's from or what family she comes from? No phone number, no email address, no home address. Dammit what was the name of her friends? I can't remember right now. Now what do I do? I am so angry and stressed. Will she think bad because I didn't show up? "Son are you okay?" My father asks pulling me out of my thoughts. "No dad, I have a real problem." I tell him. "Let's go to my office" he replies looking worried. We hurry to his office. I close and lock the doors. With rogues attacking us I don't know if it's a good idea for people to know that I found my mate. There's also my grandfather. I will be gone for 3 years so I can't protect her if anyone goes after her. I am about to start panicking. Maybe dad can just keep an eye on her for now. First, I have to find her. "Dad, I found my mate about a month ago." I tell him. He smiles "Is that who you have been going to see every night? Why haven't you introduced her to your mother and I?" His eyes widen "Is she not a high rank? Not that it matters." he quickly adds. "Do you think we won't accept her Josh because your mom and I will accept whoever your mate is." "Dad Stop" I yell. This man is giving me a headache with all of his questions. "Dad listen, I messed up." I sigh "I don't know anything about her." He looks shocked. "We never went into details or talked about our personal lives. We just spent time together. I wanted to see if we were compatible. Dad, I need you to find her and take care of her while I am gone. Please you have to help me find her." I beg him. "I will get Chase to help as well. I think he knows her friend." I tell him. Yes, yes Chase was going off about this girl he's been seeing lately. I hope it's her friend the same one he met that day. My dad just stares at me, I guess taking all of this information in. "Okay son, give me her full name and her pack info and I will go get her or get her protection." I sigh. "That's the problem dad, I just know that her name is Nicole, she has long black hair, blue eyes and dimples. We met at the bar's parking lot and at a cafe every day after that. That's all the info I have." I tell him. "Josh what the hell." he takes a long breath "Oh boy. Okay, look son you go to your Alpha training, I will find her, Okay. Don't worry about it. Go be the best so you can come back home the most powerful Alpha and you can claim your mate then." He smiles. What a relief. I'm so glad I have the father that I have. "Thanks dad" I hug him "Keep me updated and let her know I didn't leave her. Give her my phone number so she can contact me." he nods "I love you son, now go on you have to go." I nod and stand up and head out to my room. I grab my things and get ready to go. I feel lighter and a bit happier. My dad will find her. Hopefully it's soon. I can't wait to hear from her. I hope these 3 years go by fast. I'm ready to start my life.
