Chapter 10 The Unlucky Landlord

Samuel’s words really moved Charlotte. As his wife, of course, she hoped Samuel can stay with her and her daughter forever so that no one can bully them.

After all, they have been bullied many times over the past few years. That was exactly because no one can protect them.

Now her husband finally came back and can shelter them, so she was naturally unwilling to let him go again.

But she also knew that Samuel seemed to burden himself with a different tough mission. If she selfishly forced Samuel to stay with her, would she be a sinner through the ages?

Samuel naturally knew why she hesitated, so he gently held her in his arms.

“Charlotte, I promise I will properly handle this matter. But I have made up my mind to live with you. You know, I owed you too much over the past few years. It is time to make up for you.”

Hearing this, Charlotte only lightly leaned her head against his arms and said nothing.

Early the next morning, Samuel went to the breakfast stall outside to buy a hearty breakfast, happily hummed a ditty, and then ready to go back home.

He hasn’t enjoyed this normal life for a long time, especially the days when his wife and daughter were with him.

Such joy was really beyond words.

That was also why he hardened his resolve.

Just as Samuel was halfway, he suddenly heard a harsh voice coming from not far away.

It sounded as disgusting as duck’s hoarse voice. More importantly, Samuel heard someone mentioned Charlotte and Olivia.

He frowned and looked over, following the sound.

Then, he saw a paunchy man chatting with his friend, and a key plate was hanging around his waist. It was obvious that he was a landlord nearby.

“s**t! That f*****g widow still couldn’t pay the rent. She kept saying that she would raise money, but now there is nothing!”

Hearing this, his friend showed an ambiguous smile, and then sneered, “In that case, why not pay it in other ways?”

“And I heard she is a beauty, and her daughter is seriously ill. If you can do her a favor at this point, she may wait for you on the bed.”

Hearing it, Samuel clenched his fist tightly and got irritated.

He didn’t expect that even a landlord would bully his wife and daughter so much during his departure.

If he hadn’t gone back in time, some tragedies would have happened.

However, the landlord had no idea that he was in great trouble, and he was still proudly showing off. “Sound great! Actually, I come with this idea this time.”

“She has no money for her daughter’s illness, so she can do everything for money now. Such a beauty finally belongs to me! Ha-ha!”

“Well, maybe I’d like to congratulate you now.”

Then, both of them burst out laughing, which was disgusting.

The passers-by also cast a disgusting glance at them, but they did say nothing, just bowed their heads and hurried by.

From it, Samuel knew the man named Eason has long been spurned by all.

“Well, I can be a hero to kill the bad guy this time.”

Samuel touched his nose and followed Eason directly.

Just as Eason was humming a song on the way to Charlotte’s house, someone suddenly patted him on the shoulder behind him.

Eason subconsciously turned around and saw a strange man looking at him indifferently. His eyes were as hard as flint, which made Eason threatened.

Eason stepped back, gnashed his teeth, and shouted angrily, “Oh, s**t! Why the f*****g are you standing behind me? You want to die?”

“It is you, not me.”

Samuel look at him coldly and said in a low voice, “I am gonna give you a minute. Now slap yourself ten times immediately. I can let you go today.”

Hearing this, Eason paused for a little while and then burst into laughter.

“Ha-ha... I must say I thought better of you. I don’t expect that you are mentally ill.”

“Hey, listen! tell me where did you use to be treated? I can send you back.”

However, Samuel just ignored his words, glanced at the watch on his wrist, and said coldly, “Only half a minute is left.”

Having heard this, Eason’s face immediately darkened, and then he said in a cold tone, “You silly boy! Don’t overreach yourself! Piss off now! Or I will kill you!”

“Forty-five seconds.”

Samuel’s words made Eason raged. Eason grabbed him by the collar and shouted, “You are over-confident, aren’t you? the last chance for you to kneel down and apologize to me now! otherwise, I will let you know how cruel I am!”

At this time, Samuel shook his head and then said indifferently, “Time is up.”

“f**k you!”

Eason was extremely convinced that Samuel was a paper tiger, so he just punched him in the face while roaring.

Unexpectedly, Eason even didn’t touch him but his fists were clenched by Samuel’s hand tightly.

“Oh, my hand! it is going to break! You bastard, let go of me!”

He screamed, his face distorted with fury and pain. The sweat crazily ran down like raindrops.

Taking a glance at Eason, Samuel shook his head and said coldly, “I don’t want to dirty my hand on the f*****g scum like that. You would have disappeared from the world if I hadn’t considered my dear daughter.”

“This is your last chance. Never harass their mother and daughter again, otherwise, you should know what will happen to you.”

With that, Samuel pushed Eason to the ground and then turned away.
