Kayla's Point Of View
I woke up to the sun shinning on my face and jumped up. I was going to be late. I quickly got dressed and grabbed a biscuit and ran towards the palace. I can't believe I slept in but I was so tired and that pillow was so comfortable.
It didn't take long for me to get to the palace since I ran. I entered the employee entrance and made my way to the head maid.
"Good morning," I said as I tied an apron around my waist.
The elderly women grunted and said, "You need to be here earlier. I was waiting for you and now you are putting me behind."
"I do apologise," I said.
"You have the prince's whole ring to clean."
"I will start now," I said, and the women walked away without saying anything else.
I walked over to the room that had all of the cleaning supplies and gathered what I needed. I began walking around the castle lost yet again. Seeing council member Dravin, I walked over to him.
"Excuse me, council member Dravin, but I was wondering if I could talk to you," I asked.
"You should be working," he said.
"I am lost, sir, and I can't seem to find anyone else."
I slightly looked up and he was not happy. "Where are you working?"
"In the prince's wing."
"I will take you, but do not let this happen again."
"Yes, sir."
I followed Dravin throughout the castle and tried to remember the way, but it was too much. This place was huge.
"Here you are," Dravin said as he stopped in front of the door.
"Thank you."
Dravin grunted and walked away. I knocked on the door and I did not hear anyone, so I opened it. I walked in and stopped in my tracks. There the prince was shirtless and reading a book.
"Oh my gosh, I didn't know you were in here," I said as I backed away.
The prince looked at me and smiled. "Your fine."
I kept backing away. I needed to get out of there.
"I'm serious. You do not need to leave. I will put a shirt on, plus I need to get going," The prince said with a flustered tone. He turned his back to me and quickly walked towards the closet and disappeared.
I took a deep breath and shut my eyes. Seeing him half naked had me wanting to jump on him and begin to kiss him. What the hell was wrong with me?
As the prince walked out of the closet with a white t-shirt on, he smiled at me as I stood in place. "See you later," he whispered, and walked out the door.
Leviathan's Point of View
I had to get out of there and I had to get out of there now. I could smell her arousal the moment she saw me shirtless and even though I found her reaction amusing, the moment I smelled her I wanted to grab her and throw her onto my bed. The second I was out of the room, I took in a big breath of air and counted to ten as I closed my eyes, then walked away.
I planned on staying in my room since I did not have any plans and decided to watch her, but since I could not be there, I decided to go and check on Arnon.
As I made my way to the library I couldn't stop thinking about her. I wanted her and I hoped Arnon had answers. As I entered the library, Arnon was pacing back and forth while reading a book.
"Anything interesting," I said, causing Arnon to stop in his tracks and look up at me.
"Your highness, I was going to see you later this evening with an update."
"So I take it you have found something?"
"I have," Arnon said as he nodded.
"Care to share," I said as I walked over to the table near me and sat down.
Arnon followed me to the table and sat across from me. I looked at him and signaled for him to start talking.
"I could find no information in any of the books I have here, but then I decided to look at the old journals from when the planets had first collided and I found gold."
"Your taking too long Arnon."
"Sorry my lord." I nodded. "One of the journals from former council member Brental. He had written about the devastation and when he exploded the new world he had found a young women wondering around. Her scent called to him and he went to her. She was frightened but he decided to stay near her. Over time, she warmed up to him and they became romantic. He marked her and she began to change."
"Change?"
"Yes, change. He described it as if she was turning into one of us but without a dragon. Her hearing and vision became strong, the strength she had increased and she could run with incredible speed. He was afraid of telling the council or king, so he built them a cottage and would travel to her. Soon they had a child and the baby was a dragon."
"So what happened to them?"
"That I am not sure. The journal entry stopped and, to my understanding, he died when his mate died."
"Looks like I need to go and have a talk with the council since they keep some records locked and sealed."
"I would suggest that. Good luck, my lord, and I would love to know what you find out."
"Of course you would."
Arnon laughed as I stood up. "If you find anything else let me know."
"Of course."
I left the library and decided it was time to confide in my best friend and council member Dravin. I wanted my mate but I needed to know more information. Knowing that there has been another dragon human match means that there could be more.
