Leviathan's Point of View I watched her for hours and as the sunset she went inside. She worked so hard and didn't even make a dent. With all the heavy junk in the yard there was no way she would clear it out in time for a crop to grow. Was this the human Dravin was talking about? I was about to leave when I heard her begin to cry causing my heart to break. She should not be in tears. As her sobs grew louder, I walked closer to the house and peaked into the window where I heard the crying. There she stood looking at the kitchen holding her stomach. She had no food and was hungry and tired. I backed away and ran towards a clearing and quickly turned into my dragon form. All I could think about while flying towards the palace was my mate in such despair. I wanted to take her away from that life but until I figured out if I could take her as a mate my hands were tied. As I landed, I transformed into my human form and quickly walked towards the kitchen. She would not go hungry on my watch. As I was walking, I saw one of the human servants and said, "You there." The young female who smelled awful turned around and smiled. She bowed and said, "How can you help your Majesty?" I felt anger inside of me being to boil because she was looking at me. Humans were not supposed to look at us. "You know the rules and unless you want to be executed, I suggest you follow them." This caused her to look away and before she could apologize, I said, "I want a basket filled with food that can hold without needing to be properly stored and one hot meal ready to eat now added to it. Also, a pillow and blanket as well. I want it in ten minutes and if I don't have it, I will snap you in half." The girl gasped and I could smell the nasty odor the humans gave off that meant they were afraid. "Yes sir," she said and quickly walked away. Instead of standing here thinking about my mate, I decided to quickly make my way to the library to talk to Arnon, the head historian. I had questions and I knew he would not ask questions but find the answers I needed. Thankfully no one stopped me as I made my way to the library because I was not in the mood to talk and those who saw me must have known because they scattered as they saw me. I pushed open the large wooden doors and shouted, "Arnon, where are you?" "Coming your majesty," He shouted. It took him only moments to come into my view and I said, "I need some information." "Of course. What can I help you out with?" "This stays between us." Arnon just nodded. "Good. I need to know how a dragon and a human can be mates." Arnon began to laugh and said, "That is not possible." "And what if it is?" "Then the human must have some dragon DNA but I don't see how that is likely. Dragons hate the smell of humans but we tolerate them because they have use." "Then how would someone become a high bred?" Arnon just stood there deep in thought and said, "I will need to look into it but I am not sure how it would be possible. Our kind hates humans." "I need answers to this because one of our kind has found a mate in a human." "Impossible," he said with a curious look. " I will look into this immediately." "I expect answers soon," I said and then turned around. I quickly walked back to the spot where I had encountered the servant and sure enough, she was there with a large basket. "Is this everything?" I asked. "Yes, your highness." "Good." I grabbed the basket and made my way back to the spot where I could transform into my dragon. I set the basket down and transformed into my dragon and grabbed the basket in my claw and then took off towards her. It did not take long to get to the spot I had taken off from. I set the basket down and transformed back into my human form and began to walk towards the house. I could no longer hear her crying but she was moving about. I carefully walked up the steps and set the basket down. Before walking away, I knocked on the door and as she grew closer, I quickly ran away. I hid behind some trees and watched as she opened the door. She looked around but when she did not see anyone she looked down. I watched as she opened the basket and began to cry again. She picked it up and went inside. From now on I would make she never wanted for anything and tomorrow while she cleaned, I would try and make this place a little better for her until I could claim her. I wanted to stay and watch her house all night but I knew if I did that the council would send guards after me and I could not risk them finding out about her. I will see her tomorrow. I walked back to the clearing and took off to the skies. Kayla's Point Of View I was tired, sore and hungry but there was nothing I could do about it. It was too late to wash in the lake and the water was probably really cold and as for food, my belly would have to wait till the morning so I could pick some fruit on my way to the palace. As I lay on the make shift bed I heard someone pounding on the door and praid it was mother or brother. I had not seen them in ages but when I opened the door there was no one there, only a basket. The basket had fruit, bread, butter, jam and even a hot meal. It was roast, potatoes and some cooked vegetables. I had not had a meal like this in ages and I burst into tears. Not only was there food but a pillow and blanket, something I lacked and would much appreciate tonight. I ate the meal and grabbed the pillow and blanket and climbed into the bed. The pillow was so soft that I sighed and when I put the blanket over me, I moaned. It was just as soft. Whoever did this I couldn't mentally thank enough.
