Vampires' Doretou Castle
Zyier POV
I squeezed the letter and threw it in the trash, all the way smiling.
Let them suffer.
Let them wonder how to save themselves.
I bent down and pulled a clean white sheet of paper from my desk drawer. I may not send the letter immediately, but I like to write my reply in an instant.
It was a pleasure to play with his patience. For several months now, the werewolf's stupid son had been trying to negotiate with me. But no, I will not allow them to get out of the mud so easily.
I got up and went to the window, which showed the view of my wonderful castle.
It was my pride.
Taking the shape of a horseshoe, the castle has been restored several times to preserve its strength and authenticity. Its beauty was enhanced by the many flowers and greenery surrounding its walls.
I went to the cupboard and pulled out a bottle of dark red liquid. I poured and drank with pleasure.
Hmmm, human blood. Nothing can compare to it.
As I enjoyed the taste, there was a knock on the door. "Come in." I sipped again, closing my eyes and allowing my senses to take full advantage of the beauty of the drink in my hands.
"She ran away again, sir." I frowned, unconsciously clutching the glass in my hands until anger gripped my mind.
"How long has she been gone."
"We noticed her absence now, Sir."
I slammed my fist on the desk.
"Didn't anyone see her? I told you to watch after her."
Aram bowed his head, preferring to remain silent.
"When she comes back, tell her I want to see her." I forced myself to calm down.
I couldn't let her ruin everything. After all they did, If she thought she could just return to this joke of a werewolf, she was wrong.
I wasn't sure exactly how much time had passed, but when I finally heard a knock, my patience was running out, and even the bottle of magic red liquid didn't calm my nerves.
With my permission, a door opened and closed quietly. Her gaze was wary, but I knew she would soon be impudent. She was stubborn and wayward, and even my care and schooling could not change her shortcomings.
"Where were you?"
"I went for a walk. What's wrong?"
"And where exactly did you go, because no one in the area could confirm that they saw you."
She looked at me intently and sat down in the chair in front of my desk. "If you've forgotten, I'm an old enough woman, and as such, I should be able to go out whenever and wherever I want. I haven't done anything wrong or embarrassing."
"Where were you?" I was getting angrier with each passing second. She stared, then grinned mischievously and said.
"Okay, you caught me. I was in the lands of the Darkmoon pack. But no one saw me and I didn't do anything. Like I haven't been there at all."
My face froze and I ran my hand through it. I looked at her disapprovingly and said in a quiet but dangerous tone.
"We've talked about it before. I don't want you to go there and better obey my command unless you want me to lock you up again? At least you didn't give me any headaches then."
That wiped the smile from her face and she got up from her chair and shouted.
"Don't you dare. I told you, I don't want to go back to him. It's just...I'm curious. Something there attracts me. No. I'm doing nothing wrong and I won't allow them to see me. Why are you worried!?"
"Be careful with your tone. I'm not just worried about your safety. They're our enemies. Instead of walking over there, you should stay away from them."
"So, they are enemies to me. And for you? Is their daughter your enemy? Tell me. I know what you are trying to achieve. You want to take advantage of the situation in some way to get to her. Very hypocritical. I'll go where I want, remember that. And you better decide whether they are our enemies or not, before your precious Ivi returns and see what you did to her family." She turned on her heels and slammed the door on her way out.
I closed my eyes and tried to stop the worrying thoughts.
Darkmoon pack
Violet POV
The next morning I got up, took a bath, put on some jeans and a T-shirt, tied my hair in a ponytail, and looked myself in the mirror. Of all in my appearance, I liked my eyes and the structure of my body the most. My eyes were violet and my body was an hourglass. Although at the moment I looked more like a hanger. I was starving for the last few months.
I didn't have a phone and forgot to ask Allen where I could find him, so I decided to just walk around. I left the room and went to the big hall, which was full of people when I came. I guess it was kind of a living room. There was no one this time. I decided to peek into the other rooms and continued to the bottom of the living room, from where I entered a large dining. I saw three she-wolfs, I guess omegas, who were serving breakfast. I smiled and started to greet them, but they just looked at me, then looked at each other, giggled, and went to the kitchen.
My smile faded and I felt sad. Since my parents died, I have been left homeless and without money. Knowing that I was alone, someone had entered our home and stolen my parents' savings, and destroyed almost everything in it. Alpha Raphael didn't care what would happen to me, he just ordered me to vacate the house. I also had to leave college, because I was fired. It was like when my parents died, I had become worthless without them. Even in the pack house, there were no available omegas jobs. My parents were delta's, but obviously, when I turn 21, I'll be omega.
I gathered my courage and went to the kitchen. I had to make friends at all costs, even if nothing happened with Alpha David's promise, staying in their pack would still be the best turn for me. Even as an omega. The door to the kitchen was open and I went straight inside. On the other end of the room, one of the she-wolfs I saw was in a hurry and, not expecting anyone in front of the door, flew straight at me, spilling a tray full of jugs of hot coffee and tea. The hot liquid spilled on my arms and abdomen, fortunately, my face remained untouched. I screamed in burning pain, and the servant screamed at me.
"What did you do, why are you standing in my way, how will I explain now why there is no coffee and tea. Get out of my way!"
I stood frozen in my place, wondering what to do. Suddenly Alison burst into the room.
"What happened?"
All of them bowed their heads and after a few seconds she ordered the females to leave the room.
She looked me from head to toe as I was removing the wet clothing.
"You can watch, but you can't touch. This will probably be your new job, so be more careful and take a good look at it."
She obviously thought I'm trying to help serving the breakfast
"I don't plan on staying here for long, so you can save your taunts." I lied. Not that I wanted to be here but I wasn't sure If I'll be able to find a way to go in the town.
She raised her brows unbelievably.
"Yeah, right! I'm sure you don't want to be Luna."
"A Luna of a pack I don't even know? Why would I? I get you're with the Alpha and feel threatened, but it's all for nothing."
"You're an orphan coming here as no one and you think I feel threatened? You're full of yourself."
She took out a glass and poured herself some water. She kept her eyes on me as she drank. "And where do you plan to go if you don't stay here?"
"In the town. I'll live with the people." She choked and spat out the water.
"You're very naive. How exactly are you going to settle there? You have no one to help and you'll need money. You think it's easy? Or... Oh!" She looked at me as if she had solved a great mystery. "That's what you're here for, right? You're going to twist Mason's arms and until he gives you money, you're not going to give up Luna's position?"
"I don't care what you're thinking. I'm here because I had to come." I could tell her that was my only option but she wasn't the one I needed to confess that.
Her gaze had become evil and she did not hide her disgust.
"I hope you end up like a rogue."
"Don't dream on that. I may not have any relatives but I won't let anyone treat me bad."
"I'll make your life misserable here, If you try to manipulate your way here..." And with these words she left the room.
I guess my time here won't be easy.
