Twenty minutes later Kennedy had returned to her dorm room and told her roommate everything about Woong’s rescue and her meeting with the head of the science department.
“Dude,” Willow exclaimed after Kennedy mentioned Dr. Faber’s ultimatum. “So what are you going to do?”
“I still haven’t decided yet. I’m going to call my dad this evening. It’s too early now. Besides, it’s been such a stressful two days anyway that I didn’t want to make any rash decisions.”
“I would have told that hoity-toity professor exactly where to take his threats, and I would have walked right out of there.”
“I guess maybe if it was just getting fired as a TA. But this isn’t just a four-hour-a-week job we’re talking about anymore. This is my whole career.”
