“So you’re the infamous Kennedy Stern.” Dr. Faber leaned back in his chair and studied her over the top of his glasses. “Have we met before?”
“You were on the panel when I interviewed for the med school early acceptance program.”
Faber nodded. “I see. Did I let you in?”

He cleared his throat. “Well, since you’re here, may as well ask you to sit down.”
“I’m really sorry I missed our appointment earlier,” she began.
