"Hey, do you happen to know where the photography class is? I think I got a little bit lost,"
Carter would have been lying if he said he acted 'cool' in front of him. At first, he stared at him with an open mouth like a fish, then he struggled with breathing -which was supposed to be normal with people but it no longer was for him? - and then he stuttered while answering the question he had just asked him.
"Um, yeah. It’s... I mean, go.." he took a deep breath, "Go straight ahead, take a left turn on the first hall you see, then turn right once you see a poster with um, with the caption 'School of Art & Design' and it's the second door to your left," He hasn't stuttered for years now and he absolutely hated that he did it in front of him.
The boy didn't seem to mind it though since he only laughed and thanked him in return before he followed his instructions to go to his class. He looked just about Carter's age, maybe a little older but why hadn't he seen him around here before and if he was a student there, why did he ask for help? With those questions in mind, Carter realized that maybe he had transferred from another college.
But then again, why should he care about that?
With that thought, he ran to his History of Art class before his teacher flipped.

A sigh escaped his lips as he paced around his room. Noah was sitting on his bed, laughing his ass off while Carter talked on the phone with his mom who was on speaker and wouldn't stop reminding him to have clean underwear.
"Mom, I get it. I'll even clean my underwear twice to make sure and yes, I'll do Noah's too to make sure he doesn't get any diseases. Noah, f**k off and stop laughing you sick - no, I'm not apologizing, he deserves it," He groaned in frustration as his mom continued pestering him to apologize to his roommate for calling him names.
"See what a bad friend he is, Ms Mills. Please send help, he is a monster" Noah continued laughing even after Carter send a pillow towards his way. He ducked and it hit his back before he grabbed it and hit his friend in the face with it.
"Mom, I got to go. Noah just started a war," He was about to hang up when he remembered something, "Send kisses to mama and if you see Nick before I do, slap him for me. Thanks, and love you,"
The line went dead.
And soon so would his best friend.
"Come here, you prick," He dashed forward, ready to fight him if he had to but Noah was a lot quicker and got up before he would fall on him. He gave him a wink and a loud -like really loud- laugh before he ran outside their dorm room to save himself.
Carter got up from where he landed and after making sure the door was locked and he had his keys with him, he followed his friend outside the building since it was against the rules to run inside the halls. He found him hiding behind the campus' fountain which did little to nothing to hide him from Carter.
He walked slowly but steadily towards him without making a sound and just as he reached behind him, he grabbed his shoulders and pushed him inside it. Water splashed onto him but he didn't care because he wasn't the one soaked to the bone like Noah was. His roommate was sitting on the bottom of the fountain with one of his hands behind him to hold his weight and the other running inside the wild forest he called hair to pull them out of his face. His clothes were latching themselves on his skin and his face taking the expression of 'The Scream' by Edvard Munch.
Lots of students turned to look their way and everyone who knew them was either laughing or taking photos while all the freshmen looked utterly confused.
"You - you look," His chuckles intervened with his words, "You looked ridiculous. Oh my God, I need a picture!"
He pulled out his phone and before his friend could react, he snapped a photo of him in the fountain. "This is gold and this will be sent to your family and especially, Nadine,"
Nadine was Noah's fifteen-year-old sister who loved making fun of him, especially whenever Carter would visit. Some say that Nadine has a huge crush on him but unfortunately for her, Carter only saw her as his younger sibling.
Noah looked petrified when he heard him say his sister's name and quickly got up, ready to grab Carter's phone but before he could, he slipped and fell on top of him which caused his phone to slip from his hands and fall on the ground. A c***k was heard and both boys quickly got up and grabbed the phone to examine it. It was slightly cracked on the side but overall, it was okay and so was the picture.
"Please delete it! I'll do anything," Noah fell on his knees, begging him.
"I won't delete it but I won't show Nadine if you do my laundry for the next two weeks,"
"Deal," he agreed with a big smile on his face before Carter's next words made it disappear.
"And remember my underwear need to be washed two times or else you get Nadine," And so, Carter turned around with a big smirk on his face only to notice that the boy with the beautiful green eyes was standing there looking at the scene that had previously unfolded in front of him like every other student was.
Except his stare mattered more than everybody else's.
Especially since he was smiling with a camera in his hands.
