It has been a week since I last saw Lola's beautiful face. She asked me for some time to process everything that’s happened and I respected her wishes. I just missed her presence so much. There were many times that I felt the sudden urge to go to her house to see her but I forced myself to give her what she needed. I wish I could run my fingers through her hair again. The sound of the ocean has always helped me think and soothe my raging thoughts. Maybe it was because the waves remind me of Lola and her water magic. I decided to take a walk along the beach. “Please don’t walk away from me! I need to explain to you why I did what I did. I know there is no excuse, but at least I can help you to understand.”

“Understand what Theo?! That you deliberately hid important information from me. That you have been lying to me this whole entire time. You’ve broken my trust Theo and you’ve shattered my heart into tiny pieces.” She spits out in disgust.

“I know and it is the biggest regret of my entire life. After what happened between Lucy and I, couldn’t risk you finding out the truth too. You have such a kind heart and I didn’t want to hurt you.”

“I think it’s a little too late for that!” She yells at me with hatred in her tone.

"That's not fair Lola. Can't you see how much you mean to me? Can't you see that I would do absolutely anything for you? You are like an angel that has brightened my world for the better. I crave to be around you. I love seeing your eyes light up when you see me. I love seeing you smile and hearing you laugh at my lame jokes. I love that you are so incredibly brave and selfless. You put every one else's safety above your own. You're so strong and your magic is so powerful."

I move closer to her, desperate to have her within my reach. She is just standing there stunned as she listens to me pour my heart out to her.

"You're absolutely stunning and irresistible. You are sweet, kind and an incredible friend. I don't know what I would ever do without you by my side. I thank whatever force there is that brought you into my life. I am so thankful I met you that first day at the academy. I knew from that moment that I wanted to be in your life forever. I wanted you to love me and cherish me for the rest of our days. I want to grow old with you. Lola, I'm so madly in love with you!" I've laid all my feelings out for her to hear and I wait impatiently for her reaction. I hope I haven't scared her away.

Without saying a word, she grabs my hand and strongly pulls me towards the line of trees near the rocks at the back of the beach.

"Where are we going?" I ask quietly.

She is silent as she keeps pulling me to a small sandy cave that is carved in the side of the rocks. She pushes my back hard up against the rocks. I'm a tad nervous by her forceful reaction and she still hasn't uttered a word to me. I am about to open my mouth again to ask what is going on when her body collides with mine again and she presses up against me in a desperate kiss.
