I entered the mall as the doorman pulled one of the heavy double doors open for me.
Catherine was still outside. Her phone had rang just as we got out of the car. She stayed behind to receive the call.
I looked around the huge mall heavily illuminated wall and just then a young lady walked up to me. She was in a white button up shirt and a black pencil skirt. A fake smile plastered on her face.
I was only here because it was extremely necessary. I wasn't one to fancy walking around a large mall all day just to get a few things. But I have to be here, I still haven't gotten my luggage back from that Welsh lad. I was running out if underwear and that just doesn't sit well with me.
"Hi. How can I be of assistance to you."
"Hello. Where is the underwear section."
"It's just right around the corner. Follow me if you would please."
I looked back and Catherine was no longer in sight. I shrugged and followed the lady as she led the way. If Cat needed me, she'll call.
I followed the lady quietly for what felt like hours. The store was really huge. We turned around a corner and there was 'Underwear' painted in huge block letter on the wall. At the middle of the section were racks upon racks of underwear.
"Here we are. Are you looking for anything in particular?." She asked.
"Just some lingerie and cotton under wears. In black and red colour only please."
"Girls cone take her measurements." she clapped and just then two ladies appear. They were wearing the same uniform as she was.
I was asked to raised my hands and then a tape rule was wrapped around my bust. I could have just told them my bra size but the lady said they always take their own measurements.
When they were done taking my measurements the first lady went into action picking all sort of underwear in black and red colour like I'd requested. After she handed them all to me and even though I carried them with both hands, some still found their way to the ground.
"You have to try them on."
"All this? No I'll just be buying the ones I like." I dumped them all on a stool before selecting.
"Don't forget to get a bikini too." Cat voice suddenly said.
"Why?." I looked up at her. I wasn't exactly keen to wear a bikini. I preferred one pieces.
"Dave is having a pool party tomorrow."
"Not sure I wanna attend that." I continued with my selection.
"He's gonna be sad if you don't attend."
"And that doesn't bother you?."
"No it doesn't. Should it?."
I looked up at her again remembering how she had chose to kiss Dave instead at that party. I haven't been able to stop thinking about her reasons for doing that since the dat it happened.
Or was she scared of picking Harry because she feared rejection. I pondered over it a bit before deciding to ask.
"You like Harry."
She was a bit taken aback by statement. I guess she didn't expect me to be quite candid with her.
"Why are you asking me that." She frowned.
"It's not a question. it's a statement."
Her focus was now on her nails, like she found them fascinating as she picked on the nail polish on them.
"Why did you kiss Dave at that party?."
"It was a dare. Why else?."
"Do you even like him?." My attention was now on her and her body language spoke volumes. She was uncomfortable and I was enjoying every bit of it.
"Do you?." I asked again.
"No." She sighed.
I nodded my head, understanding the situation a bit better.
"That means you either kissed Dave because he was the safe option and feared being rejected by Harry or....." my eyes never once left her. Her reaction to my next words will tell me the truth. "Or you want to keep that fact away from everyone. You don't want anyone to know you like Harry."
Her face said it all. Her sagged shoulder and sighed told me I was right.
"Why don't you want anyone to know. Not even your friends?"
"Because Allison is Harry's sister." she sighed before sitting next to me.
"That doesn't explain why?"
"She's in love with him."
"In love with her own brother? That some weird incestuous family they've got."
"No no Harry doesn't know. And they aren't blood siblings. He was adopted."

I was on the stairs to the sitting room when my phone rang in my pocket. I fished it out of my pocket. The call was from Lewis, my best friend, I quickly clicked on the green icon to accept his video call request.
"Hiya." I waved to the camera with my left hand holding the phone with my right.
"Is that you not looking as pale as a ghost." Lewis fake gasped.
"Shut up. I was never that pale." I rolled my eyes as I descended on the last stair.
"We both know that's a lie. How's America."
"I don't know. I'm only in a part of it. Can't tell how the other's are doing."
"And your cousin is she home." He wiggled his eyebrows.
"You're disgusting. Where are the lads?. I miss them so much."
"Went for footy practice."
I groaned."I miss footy." I took a seat on the couch.
"No one plays there?."
"I don't know. Haven't really explored the city besides kinda hard to make friends when you're home all day."
"When does classes start."
"Monday."
"Now tell me, have you met any bloke yet."
"That'd be strange if I haven't. And yeah Catherine has got three males in her clique. They are all fit lads."
"Fitter than the blokes here."
"I'm not gonna answer that. Are you at my house." I asked. The background looked like him room in my house.
"Yup. Had dinner last night and was too tired to go home."
"Ellieee." Jack called as he suddenly jumped on me on the sofa.
"Hi love." I smiled before ruffling his hair which was already getting longer than it had been the first time I met him.
"Who are you taking to." He asked as he peered at my phone screen.
"Lewis. My best friend back at Manchester. I'll introduce you guys. Jack this is Lewis. Lewis meet Jack."
"Hi Leris." He said with a lisp as he waved energetically at the camera. He was so adorable. Lewis waved back with a smile on his face.
"Hello Jack. How old are you."
"I'm seven and will be eight 31st of Dec." he answered proudly.
"Wow you're about to be a big boy."
"Yes I'll be old enough to have a girlfriend."
"Whoa. Do you have anyone in mind? Do you have a crush." Lewis asked in a child voice and Jack nodded vigorously I feared his head will fall off his neck.
"Is she in your class?." Jack shook his head at that.
"It's a secret." He giggled.
"Oh really. You ain't gonna tell me either." I spoke this time.
"Nope I won't." He giggled before running off.
"He's cute." Lewis cooed.
"I know. I want him. Do you think we can make cute babies like that."
"Hell yeah. With my insane good genes even a goblin with make beautiful babies with me."
"Gross Lew. I didn't know you were into monsters. That's a weird fantasy you've got there."
"Shut the f**k up. Your sarcasm wasn't appreciated."
"Bugger off twat."
"I don't think your husband to be would appreciate such vulgar words coming from him fiancee's mouth."
I groaned." Don't remind me."
"They don't know, do they?."
"No. I hid the ring already. The only way they'd ever know is if my mum gossips about it to her sister."
"And if she doesn't?."
"Then I guess it's until they get their wedding invitation."
"You seriously aren't gonna stop it. You'd just allow yourself to be sold out to that wanker."
"What am I supposed to do. I have no say in my life. They control everything."
"Yeah when you were here. But you're thousands of miles away. You control your life now. Do whatever it is that pleases you, it's not like they could ever know. Party hard, shag, snog,do things they would have never let you to do if you were here. If you wanna rebel against them, you've got to do it right."
"And that my friend is the wisest thing you've ever said."
