8 The first twenty-four hours of any investigation were crucial, and Caroline felt they’d made decent progress already as she held the team’s Monday afternoon briefing. ‘Alright, so there’s a lot we already know, and a lot we’re still waiting for. Our biggest bet has to be CCTV from the Horse and Jockey pub. I had a look on my way out earlier and there are cameras pointing at the parking spaces across the lane, so they’ll have picked up any cars going in or out.
