Jerry Medland had told Caroline and Dexter that Charlie Ford lived on a farm just outside Tinwell. He’d been keen to point out that Charlie only rented an outbuilding, and that any delusions of grandeur on his part should be taken with a rather large pinch of salt.
As they made their way over, Aidan called to say Tom’s mobile phone appeared to have been switched off since late last night, and that the phone network were sending over the data, which could be used to triangulate his location the previous evening.
When they arrived at the farm, they were surprised to see how run-down the place looked. It wasn’t immediately clear whether it was still a working farm, and it seemed to Caroline as if something else might be going on under the surface.
