Alex Lawson didn’t look at all comfortable sitting in the police interview suite, but then again not many people did. He’d opted for the services of the duty solicitor, something which was either smart or foolish, depending on your line of defence and the lawyer that happened to be on duty at the time.
Megan Wilkes’s car had been seized and was currently being swabbed by forensics for any trace that Tom Medland’s body had been transported in it. If the results came back positive, they’d have solid grounds to charge Alex and Megan with Tom’s murder.
