Caroline and Dexter had prepared their line of questioning for the official interview and felt confident they could make strong progress. They’d have twenty-four hours to either charge or release him, and Caroline was sure that would be more than enough time — especially now Lawson knew he was on the ropes.
As they left the incident room to head down to the interview suite, Aidan called out to them.
‘Boss, hold up. We’ve got something.’
