Sia - POV
“What the f**k are you doing, Kaiz? Let go of her.” Alpha’s voice rang out, Kaiz let go of me, and I gulped the air greedily. Alpha onyx’s gaze looked at me as he approached and crouched to my level, and I saw a refined jawline closed for the first time and a soft black hair strand falling on his forehead. I felt captivated by this tyrant's handsome features. Sia, get a hold of yourself. This man is a murderer. Please don’t fall for his charms.
“Alpha, who is she?” Kaiz asked, and his cold gaze landed on me, and I cringed at his sight, and I turned my gaze away from the figure and back to the fireplace.
“Kaiz, this woman is someone close to me. Get the f**k out of here, and don’t tell anybody about her yet.” I looked surprised at Alpha Xavier's words. What the f**k did he mean by close? Why didn’t he address me as a slave or his harem?
“I am not special at all, I am just a slave, and you can say I am an addition to the harem of Alpha.” I managed to speak out, and Kaiz and Alpha Xavier looked at me. I saw some flicker of emotion pass under the stoic gaze of Alpha Xavier.
“Yes, she is right about that.” Alpha Xavier confirmed, and I don’t know why my heart plummets to my gut. Why do I feel that way?
Don’t overthink, Sia. I might be exhausted and miss my family, and going through trauma could be a reason to feel this way. I pep-talked myself.
“If she is your harem addition, why is she staying in your room? We can arrange her other room in the harem wing.” Kaiz said.
“ It is none of your business if she stays in the room however long.” Alpha Xavier spoke coldly, and Kaiz stood still, glaring at me.
“Alpha, you should be careful… “ I saw Alpha Xavier’s rage coming.
“Shut up, Kaiz; you are the pack’s omega, not the Alpha, so get out of here.” Alpha Xavier’s cold voice made Kaiz flinch at Alpha’s terrifying cold and darkness. I tried to scoot away from him and sit next to the fireplace to warm myself from the coldness in that room.
“Sorry, Alpha,” Kaiz said as he bowed and left the room, throwing me a glare, and I ignored his gaze as my eyes connected to cold onyx eyes, catching my breath for a few seconds. He crouched back to my level, took his hand on my neck, and recoiled at his touch. And he stopped himself from touching me.
“Are you hurt?” In response to Alpha Xavier’s question, I bowed and dropped my gaze.
“I’m OK, Alpha; could you just relocate me to another room?” He rose and moved away from me, and the scented forest that filled my nose that I liked vanished from my senses. What the f**k did I picture? I dig my claws into my skin to distract myself from the emotional feeling for this Alpha because he slaughtered my loved ones, and I will avenge this pack.
“I will transfer you to the other room shortly, not to the harem wing.” Alpha words confused. Why not a harem wing? I don’t understand why he would do that; does he despise our pack and me that much for him to...Wait, that’s wonderful—not having to serve Alpha in the harem, or might he give me a maid Job? If he did give me the job, I would poison his food as revenge.
“You may remain in my room as long as you want.” He turned to face me, and I kept a neutral look, but within, I was seething with rage because Alpha was the bastard killer who gazed at me with his eyes for a long; I wouldn’t say I liked it.
What if I tell him about Luna, who entered his room and snooped around? That would help me earn favors from him, and after I’ve built up his confidence in me, I could betray him later. But, to my surprise, I had an inward grin.
“Alpha, I wanted to inform you...” I hesitated, and Alpha Gaze drew towards me, seeing my anxiety.
“I’m curious as to what you have to say.”His sturdy voice made me cringe.
“Luna and another lady, Jan. They were searching your room for something, and I hid so they wouldn’t discover me.” The greatest thing to do in front of Alpha is to look meek and vulnerable rather than fiery.
“What! That Bitches” Alpha, I trembled as I saw Xavier snarl and throw objects on the floor. “It was a wise move to inform me of this. Tell me if anything from my room has been stolen.” As he posed the inquiry, his canines could be seen. Sweat was dripping down the back of my neck.
“They weren’t able to discover anything, Alpha,” I whispered. I recognized Alpha’s wolf eyes, which had begun to take on a subtle blue tint as he glared at me with rage.
“You will remain in my room and keep your watch like you did today; I will let everyone know that you are my new concubine and will always remain in my chamber.”
My eyes widened in disbelief as I asked myself, “What the f*** have I done? I hoped to acquire favor, but I have been imprisoned in his chamber for eternity.”
“You seem to despise the idea of being in my room.” His blue hue mixed with onyx eyes glanced at me.
“No, I want to remain in your room.” I was forced to respond in his favor. The wolf is back in retreat, and I have no idea what will happen if I say no now.
“I am delighted to hear that,” he responded solemnly. He glanced at me and stormed out of the room, slamming the door hard. As he walked out, I breathed a sigh of relief, and all of the tension in the room dissipated.
“Ms.” Liza walked into the room. “Are you all right?” I acknowledged the maid’s kind attention with a nod. She seemed to be concerned.
“Alpha has given me the instructions to assist in purchasing a new wardrobe,” Liza said, and she handed the warm blanket to me at that moment.
“Ms., you seem to be suffering from a fever.”Liza checked on me, and I swatted her hand away because I wouldn’t say I like it when others touch me; this has been a habit since I’ve had dirty touches from guards, and they still bother me.
Liza made no response to my reaction.
“Don’t tell people I’m sick. Just get the medication for me if you can.” I was freezing as I sat in an armchair, and a warm blanket was on me. I started sweating as soon as Liza left the room.
“Here, Ms, take some medication.” My eyesight blurred, but I saw Liza offer me some medication, which I took, and Liza assisted me in getting to bed.
“No, Liza, I’m not sleeping on Alpha’s bed.” Liza glanced at me, puzzled.
“Take me to the couch,” I said to Liza, who assisted me in laying down and covering myself with a blanket. I shivered, and horror entered my dream.
“Sia…” A distant voice called to me, and I opened my eyes to find a white ceiling and a beeping sound. I glanced about as my eyesight clouded, and I blinked a few times before seeing a man’s face and a doctor’s coat. When my vision cleared, I saw my hand still hooked to the IV and Alpha Xavier. Liza bowed her head, standing in front of me.
“The patient is no longer at risk,” The Doctor remarked, and Alpha nodded. As the Doctor goes through the door, I see Omega Kaiz standing next to the maid.
“You had untreated wounds, and because of that, you suffered fever as a result,” Alpha stated, and I knew my wounds wouldn’t heal quickly since my wolf was restrained.
“This maid didn’t inform me you were unwell. As a punishment, I shall confine her in dungeons without food or drink.” Alpha said; my gaze looked at the shivering maid.
“She’s not to blame; I instructed her not to inform you of my sickness. Please spare her,” I muttered.
“ You are speaking the truth, or are you lying to protect this Maid?” Alpha’s stern gaze was fixed on me, he posed the following question.
“I never lie, Alpha,” I said.
Then, after staring at me for a few moments, he turned his attention to Kaiz, who had deduced the meaning of the message sent by Alpha’s stare. Kaiz led the maid away, and I turned my anxious glance to Alpha.
