“He’s the worst guy I have ever met in my whole life!!!!”
Janine ranted as Johann watched her with a big smile on his face. She didn’t know why he is smiling. Is he celebrating for someone’s misfortune? Huh!
“Don’t smile at me!” She whined as she pouted and crossed her arms across her chest.
Johann chuckled from the screen. “Come on! Your boss can’t be that bad!” He beamed, trying to cheer her up. As much as Janine looks really cute and sexy when she’s mad, he doesn’t want to see her stressed and agitated with her annoyance in someone else.
Heck, Johann is jealous with even that tinsy bit of attention that Janine is giving on someone.
Janine rolled her eyes. Well, what does Johann know anyway? Of course he doesn’t know that she almost got run by a car by this same person. She didn’t want to tell him because if she did, then, Johann will be the one ranting on her. The important thing is, she’s safe and the car stopped before it even bumps on her.
“You don’t know it.” She beamed.
Johann chuckled. “Then don’t think about it when you’re at home.” He said. “You should be resting at home, not being this wild for your new boss.” He smiled. “And besides, I’m here.”
Janine looked at Johann at the screen and gave a small smile. He always tells her the right words. She sighed and smiled at him wider. “I know. I know.” She muttered. “I shouldn’t be talking about some other guys in front of you.” She teased.
Johann smiled and shook his head. “No.” He replied. “You better be talking about other guys in front of me because that would make me know about the ‘other’ guys in your life.” He beamed. “I’d rather hear about them from you than from some other else.”
Janine paused for a while and tried to absorb what Johann said. Of course, Johann wants honesty to rule over their relationship. When she comes to think of it, it’s best to be talking about some other guys in front of Johann. Not because she wants him to be jealous, but because it would give Johann that certain sense of assurance that nothing is really going on.
Because Janine knows that in the dramas, honesty is always compromised, causing a lot of complications as time goes by. She’s aware of that and she doesn’t want that to happen to them. Not to their perfect relationship.
Johann then looked at his watch. “Babe, I gotta go.” He told her. “I’m running late.” He chuckled.
Janine narrowed her eyes on him. How could he not notice that he’s late already? Is she that stunning for him to be distracted like that? Haha.
“I miss you.” He blew a kiss on the web cam. “I love you.” Then flashed his heart melting smile.
Janine smiled and blushed. “I love you too.” She beamed back. “You study hard.” She told him.
Johann chuckled and nodded. “Of course!” He beamed with overflowing confidence. “I won’t out future be compromised you know.” He winked.
Janine laughed and shook her head at him. Whenever Johann says something about future, Janine just couldn’t help but think of their family life together. And yes, that’s what she’s laughing about now.
“Bye, Baby girl!”

“One Espresso, please.”
Porter too his wallet and handed his card to the cashier girl, who, of course, is blushing like red beet and tomato combined. How could she even look like that? He noticed how the girl reacted to him but he didn’t even give her a second glance after uttering his orders.
He doesn’t even look at girls. I mean, figuratively, he doesn’t have interest in the opposite s*x. He just finds it worrying when he starts to think of the opposite s*x. Even the Infinite boys couldn’t make him like someone in the opposite s*x.
Well, it’s not like he’s gay or something, but he just couldn’t. He wouldn’t look at other girls. He doesn’t see girls to be loveable like how they were described in the books and wherever.
Bothering. Obnoxious. Loud.
He always thought that girls are all these kinds of people.
“Here’s your Espresso, Sir.” The cashier girl handed the coffee as flirtatious as she could. It was too obvious and Porter had to roll his eyes inwardly when he noticed the girl bat her eye lashes.
Ugh, pain!
He took his coffee and turned to head out when he saw someone coming in.
This girl who dared to talk back at him and all. The loudest of the girls he ever met. The most bothering. The most obnoxious.
Janine Kwon.
A small smirk crept up from his lips as Janine walked closer to the counter. She wasn’t looking because her eyes are focused on her phone.
Porter shook his head. One reason why he almost ran over her the last time: She doesn’t look around. She doesn’t pay attention to others. She doesn’t look her way.
“What’s making you so busy in this happy morning, Janine Kwon?”
Janine stopped and looked at him for a while before glaring at him with all her heart.
Porter smiled widely, that smile that would make Janine’s intestines to knot together and make her want to punch him in the face right now. In short, that certain smile that would piss the hell off of the chill Janine Kwon.
Janine rolled her eyes and faced the counter. “One mocchaccino.” She told the cashier, who, of course, rolled her eyes because L talked to her.
Porter smiled again and looked at Janine from the side. “Good morning to you, too, Janine Kwon.” He told her in the most sarcastic way he could. Well, what can he do? Pissing Janine off is the best way to start his day. Oh, for a few days now. Since he came to work here.
Janine rolled her eyes on him before asking, “What’s so good in seeing the most horrible face first thing in the morning?”
Porter scoffed. “Horrible?” He asked in disbelief. “This?” He pointed to his face. He is handsome and he knows it. Please. Of course, Porter knows. He has mirrors at home for a reason.
Janine mocked at him before rolling her eyes and looking back to the cashier.
Porter smiled to himself in triumph. It’s starting. Janine Kwon is getting pissed. He’s victory is going to be announced any minute from now.
And yes, his morning is perfect already.
“Psh. Why is he so into himself?” Janine muttered to herself.
Porter raised his brow when he heard her talk. Tss. What’s so bad about being good about yourself? Isn’t that a positive thing? You know, love yourself first before you could love others. Hah.
“Here’s your order, Ma’am.” The cashier handed Janine her coffee.
Janine took it and then bowed at her before turning away from Porter.
Porter chuckled to himself.
Who said working here is going to be bad?
With Janine, it’s not bad at all!
--
“Ms. Kwon,” Porter called from his table.
All the people in the office looked at him. Of course, even the boys aren’t excluded in the list of people mesmerized by Porter’s aura. Some of them even looked up to him and idolized him. If that’s how we put it.
Everyone knows how playful Porter could get. He goes well with his team – with this department. But what they don’t get is: Why is Porter always asking Janine to do this and that? Janine isn’t his secretary. He has one. But why does it have to be Janine?
“Please.” Janine muttered under her breath as she rolled her eyes and walked to Porter’s desk with a heart full of anger.
Yasmin looked at her and asked what again.
Janine shrugged and just walked to Porter. “What do you need this time, SIR?” She asked with emphasis on the ‘sir’.
Porter looked at her and handed her several folders.
Janines’s eyes widened as she looked at the folders. “What do you—”
“Photocopy.” Porter ordered brusquely. “I need that for my meeting later.” He added without looking at her.
Everyone’s jaw dropped as they heard Porter’s order. How could he just order Janine – the manager of the team – like that?
“I’m busy.” Janine replied then turned to walk back to her seat.
Why would she do that? She isn’t his secretary. Why would she? She knew her job description and it didn’t include photocopying papers that the supervisor needs for his meetings! Please, Janine could do better than that.
Everyone’s eyes widened at how Janine acted in front of the up-line and they couldn’t imagine how she did that. Well, she’s Janine Kwon, that’s why.
“Janine Kwon.” Porter stated firmly.
Janine stopped and wrinkled her nose in frustration. Why does she have to endure this kind of boss?
She took a deep breath first before turning back but when she did, Porter was there standing close to her. Her eyes flickered close then open as she looked at Porter’s face in this close distance.
Suddenly, she felt uncomfortable. Well, who would be – when your personal space is already invaded? There’ll probably be no one.
Janine stepped a step back before composing herself.
“I told you—”
“Go write a letter of apology.” L cut her words. His eyes are piercing into hers and, honestly, she feels really wavered by that. His looks could melt and freeze her whole being simultaneously.
Everyone in the office gasped at Porter’s words.
Janine looked at him in disbelief. “What?” She asked. “An apology letter?”
She couldn’t believe he is ordering her to write an apology letter! Where are they right now? School? Heh. School Principals don’t even use that method anymore.
“Are you deaf?” Porter smirked at her.
Janine shut her eyes forcefully and then sighed the hardest. Geez! Why is she associating herself with the most despicable person on earth?
“Don’t you know about the organizational chart?” He asked her. “I am on top and I can command you anything.” He continued.
Janine is starting to get pissed. No. She’s starting to get to her highest boiling point. That certain point where she would not be able to control her emotions and just punch his face right here, right now.
“Apology letter now. Printed. On my desk in 10 minutes.” Then Porter turned to his desk and continued to work on the presentation.
Janine scoffed at him and balled her fist until all her veins would pop out in anger.
How can there such be a man of guts like this man? He’s so full of himself. He’s so arrogant. He’s every negative adjective combined. Even more than the sum of that.
His evilness is overflowing and contagious because Janine has caught it and wanted to use it to him. Hell. Porter Kim is the real Satan on Earth.
Janine walked to her desk and wrote the freaking apology letter – even if she doesn’t want to.
Don’t even –
“Here.” Janine almost threw her letter on his desk.
Darn it. She’s never been this frustrated over someone. Her frustration is overflowing, she couldn’t control it anymore.
Porter looked from the letter to her, then, smirked. “So you comply with these things and not on the tasks I give you?” He asked her.
Porter shook his head then opened the letter.
Janine smirked as she saw him read the letter. Does he really think she would comply to that? Why would she? She didn’t do anything wrong. Excuse him and his handsome face! Heh!
Porter scoffed then looked at Janine who’s already walking away.
“YAH, JANINE KWON!” He hollered and Janine couldn’t help but smile in triumph. If ‘No one could keep up with THE Porter Kim’, then, ‘No one could mess with THE Janine Kwon’. Please.
