Just an Awkward Encounter

1076 Words
{Sophia’s POV} I pressed the close button and the elevator door closed. I panted out heavily, the young woman noticing. “What happened between you and the alpha?” She asked, a slight giggle to her voice. “Just an awkward encounter..” I said calmly, slowing my breathing and standing up straight. “What’s your name?” I asked, authority leaking from my voice, before I was the Luna of Dark Moon Pack, I was the daughter of the Alpha and Luna of Mist Veil Pack. Alpha Monroe, and Luna Elizabeth, were the leaders, my mother was the daughter of the previous Alpha and Luna of Mist Veil Pack. When I was young, my mother and father both passed away in a mysterious accident. Leadership then fell to my older brother Roderick, but he was killed in a hunting accident. Then, my younger brother Dominic took over, he was a wretched soul, spoiled, and cruel. He had a ball to find my mate, and when he saw that I was mated to one of the cruelest Alpha’s in America he sent me away with him immediately. My heart sank at the terrible memories, the lashings that I was given by my original packs beta. He was just as evil as my brother, I’m sure that my brother was the one who sent those men to find me. I shook my head and tried to chase away the horrible memories. “Tilly!” She said cheerfully, and blissfully unaware of the demons that were haunting me. “Your hair is beautiful miss!” She called out. “It’s nearly white, is that natural?” She asked. I nodded, pulling my hair around to my side. “My mother had the same hair..” I said softly, looking at the floor length mirror my eyes gazing at the bright strands that fell down past my waist. It had been so long since I let my hair down. The doors opened, and outside was a long hallway. “This way miss..” she said walking out and down the hallways. I walked slowly behind her, keeping my eyes on her as we walked. We made it to a large double door and walked in. “Ma’am, I’ve brought you the girl as requested.” She bowed before walking back toward the door. As she left, she closed the door behind her and I ran over and locked it. “M-Marjorie.. why didn’t you tell me you were the previous Luna?” I asked, turning back to face her, worry coming through in my voice. “I didn’t want you to treat me differently child, now what has you all a fuss?” She asked walking to me and wrapping her arm around my shoulder. She led me to a chair and sat me down. “T-There.. in the bathhouse.. the Alpha.. it was..” I muttered out nervously. “You met one of my sons?” She asked. “T-The Alpha..” I said nervously. “Which one child? There are two alpha’s here, my twin sons.” She said. “I-I don’t know.. I ran..” I spoke softly. “You ran?” She laughed out. “Well, let’s hope it’s not Alec.. he loves a good chase!” She giggles at herself. “Marjorie.. he’s my.. my..” Before I could say anything I was interrupted. “Darling girl, what happened to your hair?” She asked looking over me. “All of the mud.. it washed out in the water.” I blinked my eyes, they were dry, and the contacts were uncomfortable but I dared not say a word. “Why are you wearing contacts?” She asked. My heart skipped a beat, how did she know that, was she? “Reading your mind? Of course I am dear, it’s a gift I was given when I was born. I’ve always been able to read the minds of others.” She smiled. I began to panic. “So my son you met in the bathhouse is your mate, and you’re wearing contacts.. but why are you wearing them..” she said with a smirk on her face. She walked to me, and pried my eyes open pulling out the contacts. “Purple eyes, how lovely, I’ve never seen such beautiful eyes..” she said pausing and looking toward the door. “Our conversation may have to wait..” she spoke softly, but with a diabolical look on her face. “Seems as though the one you met was indeed Alec, and he has already found you.” Just then a loud thud could be heard on the door. “Mother, open up, I know she’s in there!” He shouted. My heart pounded loudly as I looked around. I scrambled to my feet and made a run for a large area that was filled with book cases. I hid behind one and slid down it, my heart flittering heavily in my chest. I could hear the door opening, as he stepped in. “Mother, I know she’s in here!” He said eagerly. His voice boomed in the room. “You may not know this, but I love the hunt, and right now you are my prey.. I can hear you, your heart pounding, your breathing is ragged.” He said, his voice getting closer by the second. “I’m not going to hurt you, but I am going to make you mine!” He said lowly. My heart beat loudly in my chest, I can’t, I just can’t take it. Being hunted down terrifies me, even if he says he won’t hurt me.. they always did.. I cried out, jumping up and running around the bookcase and made my way back to his mother. I bolted out the door in front of her, and squealed as I ran into what felt like a brick wall. I slammed up against it, and fell back onto my butt. I began to look up, but before I could, the mate bond hit me. No.. no.. it can’t be.. I can’t be mated to two of them! I refused to open my eyes, I just kept them shut as I got up and quickly ran past the man. My heart was beating so loudly I knew they could hear it. “Please! Stop chasing me!” I cried out as I ran blindly down the long hallway.
