Chapter 6 Call For Help

1153 Words
(Doris' POV) Mark and Erbort followed my orders, and continued to draw Liddell's blood, enough to donate this blood to five persons and was already getting injected into Sofia. She was taken to the other ward away from Liddell and was looking all feeble and fragile. "Doris! Have you gone mad? How dare you do this?!" Sofia, who had been lying weakly on the bed, shot up with a glare. "Liddell's uncle will soon find out what has happened here! You must be ignorant of his abilities to be so foolish as to act against us like this!" I raised my brows in wonders, watching her sudden drama. Was she not meant to be weak or ill? Was this a normal behavior for someone who's considered ill? Where did she gain the strength to scream? It seems they simply want to toy with Philly! These two venomous snakes! "Is anyone there? I need help!" she screamed, struggling to free her hands tied to the bedstand. "Help! Someone should get me out of here, someone should get me away from this woman!" She kept shouting to no one in particular. "You're not sick, yet you demand an eight-year-old child to be your blood bank! Any reason behind that selfish act?" I tried to maintain my composure, refusing to believe that someone could be so cruel to a child. "He's just a slave! If it weren't for Liddell saving him, he would have died! And before he dies, why not make him our little plaything to bring us joy? He should feel honored, shouldn't he?" Sofia's eyes filled with disgust as she mentioned Philly. Little did she know that Philly is my brother, the brother of the most powerful Goddess of War. And she is nothing more than Liddell's mistress, a submissive Alpha's mistress, kneeling before me, begging for her life. And Shana bared her fangs in my mind! Even though I had been treated as a slave by Liddell, I had never thought of killing them because I was grateful that two years ago they saved me from the rogues. I could teach them a lesson, but I wouldn't take their lives until they treated Philly like a toy! Without hesitation, I extended my claws and gripped Sofia's throat, squeezing it until blood oozed out. I watched as her eyes transformed from malice to terror! "Liddell! Save me! I don't want to die!" Sofia desperately pleaded for help from Liddell, who was lying beside her. But Liddell himself was struggling to survive. I mocked her futile attempt. Liddell glared at me angrily. I knew he wanted to kill me, but he couldn't. Sofia realized this. "That was... powerful!" Sofia immediately changed her attitude toward me seeing her only hope, Liddell, unable to get up from the bed. "Doris... You were calm all through... you didn't panic... how is that... you really... what did I just..." She stuttered as words failed her. "You are really the legendary Goddess of War!" I curved my lips as a smile escaped. "I have done more and you have seen more. I told you it won't be long." I repeated her words from earlier. "Please forgive me Doris, I'm sorry for all that has happened. It's not really all my fault." She begged, which left Liddell surprised. "It was Liddell's idea!" Sofia sat up quickly from the bed she was placed and turned to look at Liddell. "He planned all this not me. It had been his intention all along to have your brother, Philly, under his control and command since he thought he already had you." Liddell looked at her in shock, drained out of his remaining strength as she spilled out words of betrayal. "I never really had it in mind to hurt Philly. I never wanted to hurt him, it was all Liddell's decision to do so." Sofia refused to back down with the sudden confession and betrayal. "I was quite disgusted with what he did and I still am." I turned to look at Liddell whose expression was heavily dampened and was struggling to find words out of his mouth. I averted my gaze to Sofia who looked like she still had something to say. "I hope you can punish him well as much as you like Doris, but please I'm innocent let me go." She cried out. I could sense the deceit in her tone, like she was up to something else. "S-Sophia..." Liddell struggled to speak with a cracked tone feeling shocked and betrayed. "How...why would...you could betray me this way?" He widened his eyes staring intently at Sofia who had looked away. "How could you Sofia? After all my love? Is this how you intend paying me back for everything?" Sofia showed her true colors, it was who she had been hiding away from him for a long time. I had noticed, but Liddell was too blind in love. "This is who you fell in love with Liddell." I laughed out loud holding my stomach. He turned to look at me, then I continued. "This is who she is. You fell in love with a b***h who knows nothing but lies, a lying b***h Liddell." His face crumpled up as he turned his gaze back to Sofia. "Is that really you Sofia? What else are you lying about? Is this how I get paid for my love and care towards you? Are you going to prove her wrong or not?" Liddell's face summed up with doubt. The look on Sofia's face was one with a double mind, a look with a hidden intention. "Yes! I'm a b***h! Okay? But that does not change the fact that I'm innocent in this and does not deserve to be punished with you for your own selfish deeds..." She paused for a moment and continued. "I just want Doris to let me go." I knew she lied, I knew she had other intentions. "I'll let you go." "You will?" Sofia exclaimed in excitement. "But not so fast." I smirked as she suddenly frowned. "You may be innocent in this or whatever, I don't care. But we still have our old scores to settle and I'm sure you are fully aware." I grinned hard seeing how her face quickly dampened looking defeated. I searched her eyes, knowing she was looking for what to save herself from her current position. I laughed widely, wondering what she could be thinking, probably her next lie. "No more words to save yourself Sofia?" Suddenly, the door of the ward was forcefully pushed open! It was Liddell's uncle, Gilbert. He was also of the Blood Wolf rank, but he was the most powerful werewolf of this rank! Only the top 20% of Alphas possess his power. Among the surrounding packs, no one could defeat Gilbert! But that didn't include me! "Help me! I'm in here!" Sofia immediately pleaded for help from Gilbert.
