Chapter 4: Messed Me Up *** “AAAAAAAAAAH IM SO STUPID! LIKE HORSE PANTS.” Ciel yelled out loud in a screeching sounding voice as he grabbed onto his head. “What’s the point of horse pants anyways?” Frank asked him with a bit of curiosity. “EXACTLY! THERE IS NO POINT TO THEM…” Ciel declared with much to his own dismay, he slumped down to the ground in a fetal position and grimaced. “…as there is no point to me… what will I do?” He asked with desperation as he stood up in the next moment. His erratic behavior making him unpredictable. “Just return it to him and apologize?” Frank suggested the reasonable choice. Little did he know reason wasn’t something they could use. “You don’t get it, do you?” Ciel stared at him blankly as if he had heard the craziest thing in the world. “Get what exactly?” Frank questioned him. Ciel sighed heavily as he began explaining. “Dante… he isn’t normal, if I approach him with this scarf he will just say I used it as an excuse to talk to him, what’s more he might assumed I took it just because I still like him.” He spoke quietly as if out of fear not to be overheard. “There’s no way he’s that dumb-” Frank was interrupted mid sentence. “He is…” Ciel nodded his head sternly and locked eyes with his friend warning him. “Alright I believe you… then just keep it.” Frank said while crossing his arms. “I don’t want it!” Ciel said while throwing it onto the sofa angrily. “I wanted the cute girl’s sweater! Not this one! Not this one!” “Then throw it away.” Frank said while grabbing it off the couch. Ciel grabbed it off of Frank with the speed of light as he spoke. “NO! What if he comes looking for it and I have to face him? He’s scary… I don’t want him to do anything…” He said while pulling it towards himself. “You said he’s scary but didn’t you mention he was harmless…” Frank said while pulling at the scarf towards himself. “While we were dating! But we’re not anymore…” Ciel said while pulling it towards him too. Both of them weren’t letting go and neither of them knew what to do to solve this issue. “For now… I guess I’ll just keep it safe…” Ciel said while looking down at the scarf. “Did we just…” His eyes widened in shock seeing it was ripped in a place. “Holy s**t… I’m so sorry…” Frank instantly let go of the scarf seeing the place that had ripped. “It’s alright… after he sees this he’ll probably kill me, so there is no need to apologize… let’s just eat that pizza cause it could be my last meal.” Ciel’s words instantly became those of a dying man, on that was on trial and sentences to death. He seemed complacent with the world in that moment. “Stop speaking like that! You’re not dying!” Frank said as he looked at the scarf a bit more. “You can just sew it up, right? It’s going to be good as new, and if he asks you can just… say that… you got it like that and you helped him, right?” “That is the dumbest suggestion I’ve ever heard…” Ciel said as he laid onto his back. “Instead help me write my will… also don’t forget to delete my browing history from all my devices, the passwords to my profiles are DickMaster696969 and don’t worry I have VPN and-” “YOU ARE NOT DYING! SHUT UP!” Frank yelled out loud which was more than the other had seen him do before. “Ugh… I guess I went overboard… but I seriously don’t know how to face him now! It seems like no matter what I do it’s going to be the wrong choice and I… I can’t runaway like I usually do…” Ciel finally admitted. He looked like a man faced with reality. “Well… I don’t know the best actions to take but…” Frank thought about it all for a few moments. “Let’s give it some time, right? We can eat our pizza, sleep on this situation and see how it plays out… maybe he won’t look for his scarf and stuff…” He explained. “Right… maybe that’s true…” Ciel stood up from the floor he looked like he had newfound will to live. “Now, go get the door I heard it ringing.” Frank said as he laid onto the sofa and stretched out his arms. “Right, I’ll get my wallet.” Ciel touched his pants pockets only to realize it wasn’t there. “Don’t… tell me…” Frank looked at the man with fear. And that wasn’t only because they were poor. But rather… “I must have… dropped it… at the restaurant…” Ciel admitted while hanging his head low. “I have some savings… in my room I’ll get that and pay the guy…” “What about your wallet, aren’t you going to go back there and get it?” Frank asked with a concerned expression. “I don’t want to meet him anymore…” Ciel said with a stern voice. “I get it…” Frank nodded his head and grabbed the scarf. He stood up like the manliest man alive. “I’ll go and do it for you, get you your wallet, give this back and tell him it’s over between you.” He said while standing proud with his chest out like superman. “You… you would really do that for me?” Ciel asked him, his eyelashes dramatically fluttering as he looked at him and held onto his hand. “It might be dangerous…” He spoke like a tragic heroine sending off her husband to war. “Of course… I can see you’re having a hard time, and what kind of friend would I be if I let it be?” Frank spoke seriously as he looked at his friend. Ciel felt like he could cry. “You are the best!” “Guys… could you pay me first? I get this is dramatic and all…” Suddenly the pizza guy spoke up with a sort of awkward expression as he stood in the hallway. “When did you… open the door?” Ciel asked as he turned to the man. The pizza delivery guy looked a bit embarrassed. “It was left unlock, sorry for eavesdropping I didn’t want to… but it’s been almost ten minutes of me standing outside and the pizza is getting cold so…” “Ah, right, okay…” Ciel nodded along. They paid the man and he left soon after. Eating together like two comrades before battle, Ciel was determined to follow closely behind his friend just enough as to not meet his ex…
