Derry’s POV I stand frozen, my gaze fixed on the majestic creature in front of me. I marvel, open mouthed, at the sleek and powerful physique of the wolf looking back at me. He exudes a sense of grace and strength as he takes slow steps towards me. His black fur shines in the moonlight and his piercing blue eyes hold the intelligence of something more. He stops before he reaches the raised decking, sitting back on his haunches, waiting for me to approach him. I take a shaky step towards him, judging his reaction. Is Hawk still in there?
