Emmett
We rode pur horses when suddenly a fox jumped out of nowhere in front of mine. The poor animal got so scared that I couldn't stop him and I ended up being hit off of my horse by a huge branch. I hit my head on a rock and laughed at how incredibly unlucky I was. Conrad jumped off of his horse and came to my rescue.
- Master, are you okay? - we agreed previously, that he will call me master or by my name to avoid suspicion.
- I'm very dizzy. - I admitted since the whole forest was taking turns and everything turned green.
- s**t, you must have hit your head really hard. - Conrad said and his eyes widened.
- What? - I asked but he shook his head. The motion made me even dizzier.
- Please wait here, I'll get on the road and get help! Don't fall asleep! - he said and I tried to keep awake. I don't know how long has it passed before I heard his voice again.
- Please, this way! - Conrad said and I heard steps coming with him. He found help. I closed my eyes because the nausea was more bearable that way.
- What happened? - a soft, calm and composed voice asked making me curious about the owner. I opened my eyes slowly and I saw the most beautiful woman in the world. She had gorgeous emerald green eyes and soft features.
- His horse got wild and he couldn't stop it. A branch hit him out of the saddle and he hit his head. I didn't move him, but I saw blood and he is very dizzy. - Conrad spoke very fast, the lady listened carefully and smiled at me.
- Don't worry, we will fix you. - I felt reassured, although I was really embarrassed by the way I was. She extended her hands and held my head in them gently.
- Please, close your eyes. - she said and I did as she told. Soon I felt a hot sensation at the back of my head and my dizziness slowly disappeared.
- You are done. - she said and I opened my eyes. Now that everything was back to normal, I couldn't get enough of her beauty. Long chestnut hair, emerald green eyes, rosy cheeks and cherry red lips.
- Thank you. Is there a way I can return your help? - I aske while I got back on my feet and offered a hand to her, but she was up as well already. She waved and said.
-Just take care!
- Thank you for saving him! - Conrad said and she smiled at him.
- No biggie! I have to go now, please take care, both of you. - she was about to leave when I reached after her and grabbed her forearm.
- Wait a minute! What's your name? - I asked and she shook my hand off.
- It doesn't matter. I have to get going. - I followed her and Conrad rushed after us.
- Seriously? You don't have a minute?
- No. - she said and hurried more, she lifted her skirt and was almost running. I caught her and gently turned her to face me.
-Instead of arguing with me, you could've just tell me your name. - she looked really irritated and scoffed.
- Hands off! - she ordered.
- Not a chance until you tell me your name!
- I said, hands off! - she grunt her teeth in anger and for some stupid reason, I found her irresistible.
- Name!
- Release me!
- Lady! - I heard the voice of an older woman and soon a lady in her sixties appeared with a long sword in her hand.
- You! Let my lady go immediately! - she said angrily and Conrad appeared by my side.
- Let her go Master before we get in trouble.
- Trouble? Why would we? Calm down lady, I just want to know the name of the woman who saved my life.
- Then why are you holding her like an eagle holds its prey?! - she had a point but I took this too far already to dance back now.
- She ran away. - I said and released her arm.
- Please let me know your name so I can really express my gratitude. - I repeated in a more sophisticated manner. She sighed and caressed her temple between her eyebrows in frustration.
- I don't want your gratitude, just let me go on my way finally! - she said and I looked at the old lady.
- See? I've tried to ask nicely twice, but she is just as stubborn as a donkey
- Who are you calling a donkey?
- My lady! - I answered and this argument felt too good. I've never felt this way towards any women before. I wanted to know more about her.
- Me?! You, Sir, are the one who is unable to hold the reins properly and keep in his saddle! - I got a little frustrated.
- That was an accident!
- Such as you! - she said and I felt anger raising in my chest.
- You little... - I started but her eyes suddenly changed, her pupils got a little longer. Her hair slowly turned red and the freckled on her face got more visible.
-... Witch.
