Annoying brat

I followed the red haired boy to his master. The poor man really hit his head hard. I kneeled down and healed his injuries with purifying fire. The boy didn't even flinch at what I was doing. I turned to look at him and I motioned to keep quiet. He nodded. The man opened his eyes and I got lost for a moment... I had something similar to a flashback. Him, jumping into a house at sunset, through the window... Grabbing me by my waist and kissing me passionately. My face blushed and I stood up hurriedly before he notices it. Also, my time with the magic spell was running out. He followed me foe my name and I have never been so annoyed and attracted to a man in my life before. The swirl of these two feelings made me panic along with the danger of being discovered. While we argued I caught myself staring at his lips and eyes. I wondered if his kiss tasted like in my imagination but I had to get free. He even tried to turn Maya to his side. Calling me the childish one...

- See? I've tried to ask nicely twice, but she is just as stubborn as a donkey

- Who are you calling a donkey? - my attraction didn't want to fade even is he annoyed me to bits!

- My lady! - he answered with a cheeky grin which made him extremely handsome. I wanted to know more about him and get rid of him at the same time.

- Such as you! - I spit it our in anger but immediately regretted it. I didn't even know him... This was a really dirty insult. I opened my mouth to apologize.

- You little... - before I could say anything he started to talk, but the magic spell was over. I saw my reflection in those sky blue eyes. My eyes suddenly changed, pupils got a little longer. My hair slowly turned red and the freckles on my face got more visible.

-... Witch. - he finished the sentence with probably another word that he was planning to use. Maya rushed to me and covered my hair with the hood of my cape.

- We must go my lady! - she said and I ran to my horse. We were about to hit the road but the sleighs of my horse were held by this annoying brat.

- Wait! - he said.

- We were looking for you! Please let us to explain! - he insisted and I nodded. Maya kept staring at the young boy and it made me feel like those two knew each other.

- Fine, but not here. Get on a horse and follow us. - I said. They got back on their horses and as I said, followed us.

- Are you sure this is a good idea young Master? - Maya asked.

- We must find out why they were looking for me. It would be safer in an environment I know.

- What if they are Damien's spies? - I felt a mischievous grin spread on my face.

- In that case I'll let one of them alive so he can warn my dear brother of what awaits him. - we rode back to our hidden village. I stopped at the bottom of the mountain and placed my palm on it, the vision blurred and we passed through the rocks.

- Stay close. - I told to the men and we arrived home finally.

Elidi! Elidi! - the kids cheered when they saw us and they ran to us to greet us. But immediately stopped when they saw the two strangers.

- Hey little Rascals! - I said getting off of my horse.

- Don't be afraid, they just came to talk with me. - I handed them the apples.

- Go and share these with everyone! - they took the bag and a few of them hugged me quickly. A younger boy, around ten stayed and stared at the two men angrily.

- What is it Ernest? - I asked and he stood between me and the men.

- I'll stay here and protect you. - he said and I had to caress his head. He was so adorable!

- The rumors seems to be false, she does not eat children, simply enchants them! - that blue eyed bastard made fun of the situation but I saw something weird in his glance. If I didn't know it was impossible, I would've swore he seemed jealous.

- Get off that high horse and fight like a man! - Ernest shouted and I had to hold back my laughter. Although I made fun of the blue eyed man, he looked like a well trained and experienced warrior. He got off of the horse and walked to Ernest. People from the village started to gather around and peaked out of their houses to enjoy the show. The man put his sword down and kneeled in front of Ernest, so they would be the same height.

-Bring it on little warrior! If you beat me, I'll make one of your wishes true. - Ernest's eyes shined with anger and pride. He attacked the man, but obviously after a few punches he landed on the ground several times. I've noticed that the blue eyed man made sure he didn't hit himself too hard.

- I'm sorry boy, but you still need to practice a lot. But it was a nice fight. - he said and extended his hand to Ernest. He shook it and the man stood up. He was a head taller than I.

- Now that I protected my honor, can we talk? - he asked and I nodded showing him the way to the cave I lived in with Maya.

- I'll keep an eye on this one. - Maya said nodding towards the young knight. Once it was only the two of us the man extended his hand.

- My name is Emmett Struabus. - I knew who he was.

- The Second Prince? Why are you looking for me? - my jaw almost dropped and he smiled warming my insides.

- You are Princess Elidi of the Emelest Empire, we came to see if you would be open for an alliance with our Empire. - I put my hands on my waist.

- If you knew who I'm what was that whole scene for?! - I asked angrily and he laughed.

- Hold the horses my lady! I didn't know until I saw your real appearance!

- Fair point. But I don't understand, what would you gain from this alliance? - Emmett leaned closer to me and in a low, sexy voice he said.

- Let's say, we would save ourselves from a great danger. I heard your powers have no pair. I'm a great strategist and warrior as you might know, and I'd prefer those powers on my side than against me, that's all. - I leaned closer to him as well, as close that my breath certainly caressed his face.

- And what would I gain from this alliance? - Emmett swallowed but he wasn't the only one who felt the heat in the room.

- What about the throne that is rightfully yours? - my breath stopped.

- Are you offering to help me get rid of my brother? - Emmett caressed my face and said.

- I'd give you what you most desire. So what do you say Elidi? - he took a step back and extended his hand. I shook it and said.

- Fine, but for the record... You annoy me a lot. - Emmett kissed the back of my hand and smiled.
