Rain

117 Words
A symbol? Maybe so. A tear from God? I think so. It comes out of nowhere And leaves all the same. A way of God showing His anger and pain. It may come down light In a drizzle form. It may come pounding down Like during a storm. In the summer, we see it as water droplets In the winter, we see it as white snow. Sometimes it comes down so fast It causes the rivers to rise and flow. Rain is like a tear from God To show us his acknowledgement? To let us know we've done wrong? To punish us for our sins? It's a force of nature Beyond our understanding. But without it Where would our world stand? This is a poem I wrote while searching for answers to why there was so much flooding happening that year.
