CHAPTER 11
"Travis. Wake up!"
Travis jerked awake from an uncomfortable sleep and immediately forced himself fully alert so he could take in the situation. He glanced at the dashboard clock. It was over six hours since they had arrived in this strange land and a couple since Jacey had taken over the driving. In the twilight the Jaguar's headlights showed the same barren scene outside. A quick look around showed that both Susan and Kevin were asleep and Jacey appeared tired as she glanced across at him before switching her eyes outside as she continued to drive.
"Things are changing," she said. "The fog has disappeared in the darkness but that's not all."
"Go on."
"An hour ago the sun appeared out of what is very high cloud. It shone for half an hour or so before being covered again."
