They drove for several hours without any change, in anything! After the low hills, there was just the empty highway across a flat plain. There was no sign of any fog, no clouds in the grey sky, no change in the vegetation along the roadside and no change in the temperature that hovered in the high twenties, Celsius.
"We need to stop soon to top up the tank for it's almost on empty," Travis said. He glanced across at Jacey who had just awoken from a slumber. The two in the back seat were sound asleep.
