WHO IS HAWLEY

After speaking with Adira, Zara called Hawley right away, her voice brimming with excitement.
"Hey there, Hawley," she exclaimed. "What's going on?" Hawley asked nervously.
"It's done," Zara replied, grinning from ear to ear.
"Really?" Hawley asked surprised that Adira quickly agree for him to be his personal assistant just like that.
"Absolutely," Zara confirmed, flashing a smirk.
"I told you to stay calm. Adira can't say no to me." Zara smiled.
"Adira is so naive that she'll believe anything I tell her, and she trusts me completely" Zara revealed to Hawley.
"Phew!" Hawley breathed a sigh of relief. "Don't worry about a thing. Just follow my lead. Taking her down will be a piece of cake," Zara said to Hawley, her smirk softening.
"I've known Adira since we were little. She's carefree and adores me, even though we're not related by blood" Zara continued.
"So, getting everything we want from her won't be a problem. Just relax and play your role brilliantly. You have nothing to worry about, honey," Zara promised Hawley.
"I get it," Hawley responded.
"But won't this affect our relationship?" he pondered anxiously.
"It won't affect us. I can't bear to lose you to her. You're mine alone" Zara affirmed solemnly.
"I belong to you also" Hawley replied with a sigh.
"To be honest, I wouldn't do it if it wasn't for you," he murmured.
"I understand," Zara responded with empathy.
"You're the only one I trust to help me with this." she added.
"How do you expect me to seduce your sister and pretend to fall in love with her?" Hawley expressed his displeasure.
"Hawley" Zara calls softly.
"Adira is not related to me by blood, so it wouldn't be inappropriate to pretend to fall in love with her" she clarify the situation.
"You don't have to actually fall in love with her, just pretend," she added.
When Hawley refused to respond, Zara understood that he was angry. She made an effort to calm him down by calling him affectionately as always.
"Baby." Zara then began to persuade Hawley.
"Our efforts in accomplishing the mission would mean we would gain everything that belonged to Adira, you know" Zara added.
"We would not have to worry about our future or that of children's future." When Hawley still did not speak. Zara continued.
"Hawley you are not to be intimate with Adira, just follow the rules I told you when dealing with her, did you understand what am saying?" she sighed when Hawley wouldn't respond to her.
"I remember them all, the rules, I don't even want something like that" Hawley said referring to been intimate with Adira as something like that.
"That's right" Zara said satisfyingly.
"Love you baby" Zara said to Hawley.
"Love you too" Hawley replies grudgingly.
Eventually, Hawley agreed reluctantly but still feels it is inappropriate to seduce her lover's sister because of some inheritance, but since he made it clear that he would not do anything beyond what was expected of him, he decides to do as Zara wanted.
Zara has always looked down on Hawley because she saw him as someone that was below her status. They were classmates in high school when Hawley expression his lover for her, and even though Zara knew that she was adopted by Adira's parents, she still felt that Hawley was not good enough for her.
Upon graduating high school, Hawley and Zara had lost touch. However, they reconnected years later and, now grown, Hawley decides pursues Zara romantically again. Despite this, Zara still looks down on him and refuses to date him until she fulfills a vendetta against Adira's parents. Zara believes that Adira's parents treated her unfairly in their will by giving Adira a more significant portion of the inheritance. Zara plans to seek revenge on Adira's family and acquire Adira's property.
Zara recognizes that Hawley's love for her makes him an excellent asset to her plan. She agrees to date him in exchange for his help to seduce Adira and securing her possessions. Hawley believes their relationship to be authentic until Zara shares her plan to use him. He feels hurt and betrayed but decides to play along without revealing that he knows her true intentions.
After proposing to Zara, Hawley believed that their love was mutual and that Zara was genuinely interested in him even though he has to carry out Zara's plan to seduce Adira. But, he soon realizes that Zara has ulterior motives for accepting his proposal: she wants to use him to get Adira's wealth. This revelation breaks Hawley's heart.
When Zara reveals her plan to Hawley, explaining that she wants him to woo Adira, claim her properties, and then murder her. Hawley is shaken by Zara's plan and decides to break up with her. But, he decides to go along with her plan while secretly strategizing his next move and believing that the opportunity will help him get more closer to Zara since he did not want to lose her.
Although Zara talks about marrying Hawley and having a family, but Hawley fears that she will use him to get what she wants and then discard him after. Hawley tries to persuade Zara to find another accomplice, but she insists that they can't trust anyone else.
Zara uses emotional blackmail to manipulate Hawley into agreeing to help her. She reminds him of the future they could have together and begs him not to let their children suffer. Although Hawley is hesitant, he eventually relents, even as he realizes that Zara may not care for him as deeply as he thought which makes him really sad but because he has no choice since he love Zara so much he decides to go with her plan of seducing Adira to get closer to Zara.
As Hawley concludes his conversation with Zara, he worries that he might eventually become another one of Zara's victims after he complete the mission she gave to him but still he wants to go with the mission.
"I hope you won't treat me the way you plan to treat your sister," he mutters to himself.
