-Diana's POV- "And this is for clicking?" I ask. "Yes. You move it around and wherever that little arrow ends up..." He points to the screen. "That's where it will click." He says. "It's called a mouse." "A mouse?! Why?" He laughs. "I don't know. I guess because it's small like one." "Mh... I guess." "So, are you sure you got it?" He asks. "I do. You are a good teacher." He looks a bit embarrassed when I say that. "Uhm. So from this computer, you can see all the books in the library. Just go here and they are organized by alphabet. You can also put the name of a book you are looking for and it should bring it up for you." "That's convenient." I look at him. "I assume that you already turned this place upside down trying to look for a solution for Amy?" He looks a bit surprised by me suddenly bringing her up but he nods. "We did but most books here are just for school purposes." He looks to the side, thinking. "It sure would be convenient if we had access to your sister's library. I mean, if she is as old as you are-" I don't let him finish. I smile. "Lucky for you, I do and that was my next move." He looks a bit shocked. "You do?!" I nod. "But she will help only if she is in the mood." "I see..." I lean in and whisper. "But I can be persuasive." I wink at him and he smiles. "Where is her library?" He asks. "The library is located underground in a very remote location in Iceland." "Iceland..." He whispers as he looks down. He then gives a nod. "It will take us a few days but I can get us there. I just have to make a few calls." I giggle. "You don't have to. We can be there in minutes but that is only if she is in the mood in this decade and I also have to find the key." "Uhm..." He looks confused so I explain. "She has a portal that leads directly to her home but sometimes when she is in a bad mood, she deactivates it. She did that a long time ago and kept it locked for a few decades." "Oh... and how do you open this portal?" "I just need the key...her favorite book." "Book? Huh...and I assume it is not here." He says. I shake my head. "Let's find out." I say. I start putting the letters into the computer. Marco watches me and I can sense that he wants to laugh because it is taking me a long time to find the letters on what he called the keyboard. When I am finally done, he reads what I wrote. "Metamorphoses Libri XV." I press the button that says enter but nothing comes up. It just says "not found" "Just as I expected." He says. "We don't have it. Nothing can ever be easy." "It's okay. It shouldn't be that hard to find. There are many renditions of it that have come out during the years and any of them will do. When I am done here, I can go to a bookstore I saw yesterday in the city. I am sure they should have it." I tell him. He sighs. "Alright then. I'll leave you to get started on your day." He says. "If you need anything, let me know. Also, in the afternoon we have students that we have hired as part-timers. They'll keep the library open until closing time. We don't want to overwork you." I nod and watch him leave. And I mean really watch him, admiring his looks. He is tall, has wide shoulders, and has a nice butt. I start to have lustful thoughts and my body shivers. I have spent too long on my own and my body yearns for a man's touch. I sigh and go to start my day. It is not a hard job since this is not a public library in town. It is only for students and teachers of the school and so not many come in here. By afternoon, I pick up a few books that were left on a table and start putting them away. As I am going through the rows of shelves, I hear a commotion of a few people. They rush past me looking scared. "What in the world?" I turn the corner to see why they are so spooked and immediately spot the fairy dust on the floor. "Ah, there is mischief at hand." I whisper. I decide to leave it alone but when I turn around, the fairy is right in front of me. I am startled but do my best to act normal. I see that she gives a mischievous smile. She lifts her hand towards one of the books on the top shelf and makes it fall in front of me. I look at the book on the floor but since I see it is her, I am not afraid and this makes her a bit annoyed. Fairies don't like it when things don't go their way. I lean down, pick it up and put it back, then, I walk away. As I walk, she steps in front of me and does the same thing with another book. I again pick it up and put it back. This gets her even more annoyed but, I am not going to give in to her mischieve. I go back to my desk and the rest of the day, the fairy keeps trying to play tricks on me. I act unbothered by everything she does and because of this, I am now her main target. To be honest, it makes the day quite fun to see her trying so hard to scare me. The students Marco mentioned this morning arrive to take over and I leave them to it but the fairy is now following me. I head out of the school and start walking in the direction of the bookstore I mentioned to Marco. I take in all of my surroundings just like I did yesterday. Everything is so different from the last time I was in a human city. I am so surprised at how quickly things changed in just a few years. Suddenly, the fairy stands in front of me and I can see her hand coming towards me. I know she means to push me. So I move out of her way. "Oh! What is that?" I say looking in the distance. "What the..." I hear her mumble. "Ah, guess it was nothing." I say and continue to walk. "Why won't she...who is this woman?" I hear her grumbling and muttering behind me. "Fine... desperate mesures." She says. I suddenly hear her running in my direction and of course, I move to the side. She tumbles down and rolls on the floor. Now I can't hold it any longer and I start uncontrollably laughing. "Ah! Ouch!" She holds her elbow as she hisss but looks up at me with surprise. "Wait...you can see me?!" She shouts. I nod but I can't say anything because I am laughing too much. "You can see me!? REALLY!?" She asks again. I wipe my eyes from laughing tears and nod. "Yes." I finally say. "You could see me all this time?!" "Yes, I could." I say. "Why didn't you say anything?!" "Because It seemed like you didn't want to be seen?" "Hell no! I do want to be seen. But no one seeees meeee!" She whines. "Wait! How can you see me? Why?" "Ah... I... am not telling you." I give her a cheeky smile and start walking away. "What?! Why?!" She settles next to me and keeps up. "I don't want to." I say. "Oh come on! Do you know how hard it is to be invisible? And now someone can finally see me but you won't tell me how or why?" "If you don't like being invisible, then change back." "If I could, I would!" She says. "Why can't you? Are you a young fairy?" I ask her. "I don't know why I can't! If I knew that, then I wouldn't be in this situation! And how do you know about fairies?" "So you are not messing with Marco and the school on purpose?" I ask. "No! I mean... maybe just a little because I have nothing else to do but I want to change back!" "How old are you?" I ask her. "One hundrerd and tweleve." She says. "Oh! That's why. You are just a baby." "A baby?!" "Well, I mean for fairies. Your kind lives for so long that you'd be considered still an infant." "How do you know that? Wait! Do you know of a way I can change back?!" "I might know of something." She gasps. "Please! Tell me! I AM DESPERATE!" "Okay, okay. But I have things to do first." "Like what!? What is more important than this!?" "You've been like that for a while—I assume—you can wait an hour or two." "Uuuuhhhh!" She grunts. I stand in front of the bookstore. "I need to get something here, hopefully, they have it. Once I find it, I'll help you." I say. She grunts again but follows me inside. It's like having a child with me. She complains and makes annoying noises the whole time. "Are we done yet?" She has been asking me over and over. "No, and if you keep rushing me, I'll leave you like that." She quickly quiets down...for a few minutes anyway and then she starts again. People look at me like I am a crazy person when they see me talking to myself and I am all for it. I really don't care what they think. "There it is!" I say spotting the book I need. "Great! Let's go!" I sigh. "You're impatience is really making me annoyed." I mutter. I pay and we both head outside. "Okay, so what now? What now?" She asks. "Now, we go eat." "WHAT?!" "I'm hungry. I can't possibly help you with an empty stomach." "Oh my god! You are so annoying!" She shouts. I laugh. "Now you know how you are too." "Oh come oooon! Please!" "Okay, tell me where is a good place where I can get take out and then we'll head to a magic shop. "I look at her. "Do you know of one? Cause I am not familiar with the area." "Yes, now let's go!" She says. We start walking but not once do I not hear her impatient grunts. She shows me to a food truck and it smells really good. "Here. Now order and let's go." She says. I order and wait but not for long. They are pretty fast and soon we are on our way to the magic shop while I am almost drooling with the smell of my food. "So, why are you like this anyway." I ask her. "Because I was helping my friends to get out of a bad situation and then I got stuck." "So you are from the school then? I mean, you didn't just choose to haunt them for sheer fun." "Yes, I live in the school. Marco took me in a few years ago." "Mh, sounds like him. He is such a good man." "Yeah, he is." Garnet says. "Come on! We are almost there!" She takes my hands and pulls me to walk faster. I knew he was a good guy. And now I find myself wanting to know more about him, maybe even everything that makes him...him.
