The team building adventure.

Lilly’s point of view I reclined in the center of the bed, anxiously anticipating the guys' arrival. My nerves were on edge as everything seemed to be progressing rapidly. How does one handle being the Luna of two packs? Will we need to establish separate schedules for each pack? Juggling two mates and two packs is bound to be immensely complex. As I lay there, contemplating the whirlwind of changes that had occurred in less than a week, my door suddenly burst open. Damien and Levi entered, their expressions filled with worry. "There has been another rogue attack," Damien informed me gravely. "Fortunately, it's not as severe this time." Confusion and concern flooded my mind, prompting me to inquire, "Why are they attacking again? What could be the reason behind these repeated assaults?" Shaking his head, Damien replied, "We don't know yet. Right now, our priority is to ensure your safety. We need to get you to the safe room in the pack house." Levi stepped forward, taking my hand gently, his voice filled with determination. "Don't worry. We'll protect you. Let's go." My mates guided me to a secure basement room within the pack house, where women children, and sought refuge. As Damien and Levi embraced me, their lips meeting mine, a bittersweet realization washed over me - they were preparing to leave. "No, please stay! I can't bear the thought of losing either of you," I pleaded desperately, my voice filled with fear and longing. Damien held me tight, his arms providing solace as he spoke softly, "I must protect our pack, my love. It's my duty." His lips gently pressed against my forehead, a gesture of reassurance. Levi's tone turned more resolute as he spoke, his eyes filled with determination. "I need to lend my strength in this battle. There's no time for arguments." With a swift peck on my lips, he conveyed his affection before joining Damien's side. "They will return," my best friend Becca said, coming up behind me and embracing me as tears filled my eyes. "It's not the same. But my brother is always on the front line. My dad joined them tonight, too," Becca said in a worried voice. We clung to one another, finding solace in our shared experience. It became apparent that we were all part of the same club - individuals who had loved ones fighting against the rogues, anxiously awaiting their safe return. Becca and I took charge, determined to provide comfort and support. With a guard by our side, we ventured into the pack house, gathering pillows, blankets, and food for those seeking refuge. Together, we worked tirelessly to keep the children occupied, shielding them from the harsh realities unfolding outside. They needed to remain blissfully unaware of the troubles plaguing the adults. With Luna away visiting her family, Becca and I did our best to step into her shoes, fulfilling the responsibilities of pack moms. It was a challenging role, but we were determined to do everything possible to ease the burden on our pack during this trying time. The wait felt interminable, and I instinctively began assembling makeshift beds in anticipation of spending the night. To keep the children at ease, we painted the situation as an exciting sleepover. Their eyes sparkled with anticipation. As Becca and I finally found a moment to relax, savoring our steaming cups of coffee, we eagerly exchanged stories, catching up on the past few days' events. Laughter filled the air as I divulged all the juicy, scandalous details of my recent escapades with my mates. Seeing Becca was a much-needed respite, a cherished moment of girl time amidst the chaos of our current crisis. "Wait, so you enjoy having two mates?" Becca asked, a cheeky smile spreading across her face. Surprised by the question, I confessed, "Weirdly enough, I do." Becca chuckled and commented, "It's quite exciting, you know. I felt something was going on when Damien got super jealous after I mentioned you dating someone else. I just never expected Levi to be another one of your mates." "I know, it was pretty shocking," I said with a giggle. "Him and Damian agreeing on something today," Becca remarked. "You've seen them together before?" I asked, a little stunned. "Yeah, my dad sometimes brings me to the pack house when he's doing his Beta duty. And Alpha Leon comes to visit Alpha Zane because they're good friends, and he always brings Levi," Becca explained. A warrior whispered something to Becca. "It's safe, we can return to normal. Nobody was badly wounded," Becca said with a smile. Most of the mothers chose to stay since we told the kids it was a sleepover. I hugged Becca goodnight and headed back to the cottage. As I entered, I waited on the couch for my mates to return. I drifted off to sleep and suddenly woke up in someone's arms carrying me. It was Damien, followed by Levi. "You two are okay! I'm so glad!" I said, hugging Damien tightly as he carried me to bed. "We heard that while we were out fighting rogues, our mate took over as Luna," Levi said, as Damien laid me down on the bed, both of them lying beside me. "I don't know about being as good as Luna, I just had to help everyone feel some comfort. Becca was right beside me the whole time," I said. "Yep, she's your beta, Miss Omega Lilly," Damien said, kissing my forehead.
