Destroyer

EPISODE 5- A CALM MOMENT

The five adventurers looked at me with admiration and fear. After I spoke my identity to them, why I chose to give the name Destroyer as my name. Because I was too nervous to say something stupid in front of two beautiful women and a cute girl.

My virgin side seemed to dictate that I should come up with a cool name, to impress the ladies. So I uttered my armor's name 'Destroyer' which I now realized made me even more like a demonic overlord villain of an anime.

This is so embarrassing but the good thing is that I cannot express any emotion. So they wouldn't know if I am lying or embarrassed.

“Why are you fidgeting, Mr. Destroyer?” asked the girl named Marcia.

I actually didn't realize that I was fidgeting after I spoke my name in embarrassment. My God, even if I don't have a body my old awkward virgin self still resonates within me. I think I wanna die from this embarrassment.

“Why'd you stop him from fidgeting Marcia? I thought he was kinda cute when he was doing that.” Spoke the beautiful busty green-haired girl, who has a bow sling to her shoulders.

I suddenly felt my heart beat faster after hearing those words. Wait! Do I even have a heart!? “You have an electronically injected carburetor as a heart, according to my system analysis, ” answered Xyra.

I then looked at the green-haired girl and my stupid self then asked, “Y-y-you t-think I'm cute???”

“Yes, you're really cute!” the green-haired girl or Bella spoke with a smile.

A warning message board suddenly appeared in my sight after hearing Bella's words.

“Warning! The electrical circuit is overheating! Cause unknown! ”

I didn't pay attention to the warning but I heard Marcia spoke again in a worried voice, “Why are you turning red!? Is something wrong!? Mr. Destroyer!?”

“N-n-nothings wrong this is just me releasing some steam after fighting for a long period of time.”

My body was actually turning red for some unknown reason. But the color as explained by Marcia looked like a yellow heat that is near to the color of red, which is similar to a sword that is still being forged.

After a few moments, my body stopped from turning into a burnt metal. I then noticed someone touched my body. When I look to see who is it, I then saw Lucy poking me with her index finger.

I then scratch my head in confusion even though I don't feel any itch, it must be old human nature. To me what Lucy was doing was not harmful so I let her be. But David who was still looking at me with fear yelled.

“Stay away from him LUCY! He's dangerous.”

“I agree with David Lucy, you should not come that close to him. We still do not know your intentions, so please understand why we still don't trust you. But I will apologize for my idiotic party member there, for his stupid choices and actions. ”

Karl then bowed to me after saying those words to show sincerity, he then spoke, “We're very sorry for the actions of our comrade.”

“Apology accepted, but I want a separate apology from that dumbass over there.” I pointed my finger to David who was seating on the ground.

“Do you also want me to apologize?” asked Lucy with an expressionless voice.

“No, your good, cause your very prett-... I mean you are just saving your friend from harm.”

“Yehey,” spoke Lucy with her usual emotionless expression, making her the official kuudere of the group.

“Like hell, I would say so...kyaa!”

David who was speaking suddenly let out a girly shriek as he was struck by Bella's fist, which made me have two thoughts about messing with her.

“Apologize now!”, yelled Bella to David.

“A demon she gorilla!!!” he yelled as he saw Bella's angry look.

David and I were now facing each other, on the other hand, his comrades were locked their gazes into him as they waited for him to apologize.

Instead of immediately apologizing David clicked his tongue and snubbed away from me. I was kinda insulted by his action that I almost wanted to throw him back to the goblins. After that, he was then struck again by the iron fist that is named Bella.

“You ogre!” *Bam!* Bella struck him again with her iron fist.

After beating David fifteen times, he finally gives up to the iron fisted Bella. David looked at me while his head was splurting blood like a small fountain.

“I'm sorry, I hope you forgive me for my rudeness,” spoke David with teary eyes as he also gives me his hand. I then grabbed his hand and shook it, but I was not gonna let him off the hook easily. Especially after causing trouble for the beautiful miss Bella.

“Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! You're grabbing my hand too tightly.”

“Oh sorry, It seems that I don't have any control over my strength. ”

“The bones in my hands broke,” David whimpered like a wimpy dog as he was healed by Marcia.

Bella then went towards me and also shook my hand, and spoke. “Then let me introduce ourselves, we are the Camilla Adventurer Party an F+ ranked adventurer party.”

“HEY! I THOUGHT YOU DON'T HAVE ANY CONTROL OF YOUR STRENGTH!?!”

I ignored David who shouted and put my attention to Bella, who just caught my interest.

“F+ adventurer?”

“Wait!? you do not know how adventurer parties are ranked? Even though you are one.”

“Me an Adventurer!?”

“Wait!? Your not an adventurer!? Then what are you doing here?”

Crap! I messed up, they will surely be suspicious of me again if I do not know a single thing about this world. Wait there is one thing I kinda think might save me from this.

“I'm actually not an Adventurer”

The group was then surprised after hearing my words. All of them looked at me with confusion, after I said those words. Karl then suddenly asked me out of nowhere.

“If your not an adventurer then what are you doing in this dungeon?”

“I'm actually a lone wolf mercenary who is planning for a career change. I now want to try being an adventurer, so I have journeyed this dungeon, to know what an adventurer feels like.

After I said those words I was then given by Karl a hatred gaze.

“So that explains your rude behavior,” spoke David, but he was then hit by Bella's iron fist. “Shut up David!, you were the rude one first!”

“Sorry about that Mr. Destroyer, well you see mercenaries don't really have a good reputation among adventurers.”

Wait did I even made myself even more suspicious? If I were a mercenary then I should really hate them. As I was becoming confused Bella continued to speak.

“Well, Mr. Destroyer you are actually different from the mercenaries we met so far. Most mercenaries would leave anyone just to save themselves from danger. But you Mr, you did not leave David to die there, so I think you are different from the other mercenaries.”

Wait! They still don't suspect me after saying those words. Maybe I should change the topic so they wouldn't dig deeper.

“Well, I am a one of a kind mercenary, but I would like to ask, why are you guys here especially when your levels don't match the level cap for this floor.”

“Actually our dear i***t comrade here has an itchy finger when pressing buttons. So we were teleported here by a trap, which was very obvious from the start.”

The one who answered me sarcastically was not Bella but Karl, who seems to be angry at David. But I knew that Karl is just worried about his teammates even David who was the reason for this trouble.

“Do you want to get out of this place?”

The party then looked at me with hope after I asked them that question. David who seems to hate me even looked delighted. Karl who also seem to despise me slightly walked towards me and kneeled.

“I beg of you Mr. Destroyer please help me and my comrades get out of this place.”

“Then prepare yourself cause we are definitely going to leave this place.”

“Really!?”

“Yes, through beating the boss of this floor.”

Marcia then explained something that I was already expecting. “That would actually work if you beat the final boss of the dungeon, you would be teleported back to the entrance of the dungeon as a reward.”

“So what are you guys waiting for, out on your gear and prepare for a battle.”.

“Wait! Your gonna drag us with you?” asked David with a scared voice.

“How are you gonna get out of here alive if you're not going to beat the boss.”

“Are you crazy! Do you know that an E+ adventurer party could only beat the final boss of this dungeon? Remember we're an F+ party, not an E+, even our only strongest one here is only an E class adventurer and not an E+.”

“Don't worry you have me,” I answered proudly toward David.

“Well, you did show some impressive skills from saving me. So if I die, I will definitely haunt you if you survive.”

“Yeah, yeah, just prepare will ya, you don't want to be left behind here.”

As they were preparing I suddenly remembered something. I turned to look at Bella and talked, “Hey Bella I just wanted to give you and your party these things.”

A notification board suddenly appeared in my line of sight again.

“You have given Bella, 14x stamina potion grade-D, 17x healing potion grade-D, 9x mana potion grade-D, 10x protection potion grade-D, 8x boost potion Grade- E+”

“Wait you are able to use space and time magic, even though you don't have any magic essence. That's amazing, but we cannot accept such valuable drops which you might need.”

“I don't need them, they're useless and worthless to me.”

I actually tried using the potions but I wasn't able to use it. According to Xyra potions are incompatible with me, I can only buy my own potion from her, using true gold coins.

As the party already finished preparing, I then asked them, “Are you ready?”

“Please take care of us!” replied Bella with a smile.

I then opened the boss's door, but when we got inside the boss's room I suddenly noticed each member of the group covered their nose.

“What the hell is that smell!?” yelled David as he covers his mouth. Meanwhile, the door behind us closed itself. We were now standing on the safe zone of the boss room, gazing at the boss that we will have to defeat.

The boss was a goblin with rotting flesh and was standing about 15 feet tall.

“Oh God! This smells like rotting flesh, mixed with David's feet and some rotten cattle milk. ”

“Why are you comparing my feet to the smell Bella!?”

“Because it does smell like your feet,” spoke Karl.

In the distance, I then saw the boss of this dungeon. Xyra immediately analyzed the boss after a few seconds, Xyra was able to obtain the details of the boss.

A notification board suddenly appeared in front of my sight.

It's more durable than the mummy and is also more intelligent. But his other status is lower, but his skills are more deadly. This Grand Goblin Ghoul King is an intelligent base boss, base on his stats.

What we should really worry about is his ability to summon lower mobs. Which would truly drain the strength of the party members I'm with.

How should we defeat this boss, if I let Karl tank, he would surely be one-shotted by the boss. Lucy's damage would still be useless against the boss. Our healer would also be useless even if she heals our tank. Bella's marksman damage is too low to even scratch the boss.

How should I do this? WAIT! That would work if the boss uses his skill that summons mobs, the party can face it themselves as I fight the boss one on one.

I then looked at them and spoke about the plan I have in my mind.

“Guys, I have a plan so you won't put your life in danger. But you can help me in defeating this boss quickly. So are you willing to listen to my plan.”

After a few minutes, the party was kinda skeptical about my plan. Though they still agreed after having no choice but to follow my plan in order to survive.

“So we are going to be decoys towards the boss's minions which he summons through his skill? It is amazing that you are able to use space and time magic, but also an appraisal skill, I'm kinda jealous with your abilities,” spoke Bella with a hint of jealousy in her voice.

“So are you guys ready?”

The party then drank the boost potion and the protection potion I gave Bella. Karl and Marcia drank most of the protection potion. While Lucy, Bella, and David drank most of the boost potion.

On the other hand, I did not prepare for anything as I still have the items I needed. The items that I took from my inventory before, were still intact my armor, especially the suicide the drones. But the anti-tank guns I actually brought them back to the inventory.

Seeing that the party was ready we immediately took a step forward, leaving the magic barrier created by the safe zone.

The boss then roared loudly upon sensing our arrival, the Grand Ghoul Goblin King's roar almost sent shivers to my companions. But because of my presence, they managed to have the courage to face the Grand Ghoul Goblin King without any hesitation.
