EPISODE 3- THE 5 LOST ADVENTURERS

At the deep part of the dungeon, a group of five adventurers was being swarmed by goblins. The five adventurers we're holding themselves against the enemies. But it was written on their faces that all of them were exhausted.

“Karl! Don't let those goblins attack Marcia, if we lose our healer we're screwed, ” yelled a boy who had a light brown colored hair, wearing a black beaten up armor as he swings his two-handed broadsword.

“I know David! But can you clear that goblin wave faster! I have been tanking for an entire day, and I'm almost at my limit,” replied another male teen with blond hair, wearing heavy white armor and was parrying the attacks of goblins using his sword and shield.

As the two boys of the party were talking, a goblin sneaked up behind the boy named Karl and dashed towards a cute looking girl with blond hair, green emerald eyes, and was wearing a white robe, this girl was the one named Marcia. But as the goblin dashed towards the girl named Marcia, another girl showed up behind the goblin.

Her sudden appearance was so fast that the goblin wasn't able to counter her incoming attack. She then sliced the goblin's neck with her kukri, in one swift swing.

“Nice save Lucy!” yelled David to the purple-haired girl who was wielding the kukri. “Good thing you aren't useless as our tank there!” added David.

Lucy wore a jet black shirt with a blacked-out light breastplate covering her chest, uneven leather gloves, short and her knee-high leather boots. You could tell by her equipment that she is an assassin.

Karl who was their tank did not like what his friend David told him. So he replied, “So it is my fault now! Even though you are the one who pushed that button, which was obviously a trap. So it's clearly your fault, on why we were teleported from the 5th floor to the 36th floor. ”

A girl with short green hair, and was firing a bow spoke, “Will you two just shut up! If we want to get out of here we must not start arguing with each other.”

She then turned her look to the girl with the kukri knife, and asked her, “Did you find any safe zones nearby?”

“There is one, about three hundred meters from here.”

The girl with the bow then spoke, “lead us to that safe zone, Lucy. Karl! Protect our rear, David! Protect Lucy from any enemies that will flank her, Marcia! always remember to heal David as he protects us from our pursuers in the rear.”

The group then changed formation, with Lucy leading the way, and David following her. Marcia and the girl with the bow then followed behind David, while Karl became the rearguard.

As they got into formation, the other's started to follow Lucy. As the goblins chased after them, with all the strength left in them, they tried to dash as fast as they can toward the safe zone.

Lucy who was leading her friends to the safe zone saw a group of goblins that was trying to set up an ambush. She saw it because of her skill called foresight, which allows her to see anything in the range of fifty meters.

“Ambush forty meters! Prepare for it, David!”

Lucy then slowed down and her lead was now overtaken by David. “Leave those guys to me, Lucy!.”

As David was near the ambush, he then uttered these words, “Berserker s***h!”

His two-handed sword suddenly emitted a crimson color glow. But as he slashed his sword in the air, a shockwave was created, it had the same crimson color that was emitted by the sword before. The glow of the sword was then lost after he slashed his sword.

The shockwave created by the sword then sliced the goblins in half, after being directly hit by it. The ambush was now stopped, Lucy took the lead again after David cleared the ambush.

Lucy then saw another group of goblins but this time, she didn't give the lead to David. As she saw the goblins were near her range of attack, she then used one of her skills.

“Waterfall Dance!”

She then performed a majestic dance, as a swirl of water suddenly engulfed her kukri. Her Dance if seen from above she looked like the tip of an artist's brush creating a majestic art using the colors of blue.

She passed by the goblin after she used her skill, after a few moments the goblins were all beheaded.

“Your still awesome Lucy,” yelled David who was following her.

“We are now close to the safe zone,” spoke Lucy as she continues to dash. Meanwhile, at the rear of the group, Karl was using all of his slow effect skills. But he was still receiving damage from the long-range attack of enemies.

Some of the attacks of the enemy were absorbed by Karl's armor, and some by his HP, which came from magic attacks of two goblin mages. Marcia who saw Karl's life starting to deplete, started casting her healing spell unto him.

Marcia then asked with a sweet and naive tone, “Are you alright Karl?”

“I'm fine, just focus on running and healing me, but never slow down,” answered Karl.

“Were here guys!” shouted Lucy to her friends.

They then dashed forward the safe zone with all of their remaining strength. All of them managed to reach the zone safely.

All of the members of the group suddenly collapsed down to the ground. While heaving a sigh of relief after they saw the goblins stopped chasing them.

“Hoo! That was exhausting, how could such weak creatures be so scary,” spoke David.

“At least we're safe now, we can finally take a rest.” spoke the woman who was using the bow. As all of them finally relaxed they suddenly felt a vibration on the floor that disturbed them.

“Was that an earthquake!?” yelled David.

“I don't know, but we shouldn't be able to feel any down here. As dungeons are protected from any natural disasters occurring.” spoke the bow user woman.

“But Bella, that was definitely an earthquake,” spoke David in a frightened voice.

“Stop being a coward!" yelled Karl towards David

After yelling at David, Karl removed his heavy armor after wearing it for an entire day. Marcia looked at Karl who looked so exhausted, Marcia knew that Karl needed some help. So she gave him something, which Karl hesitated to accept.

What Marcia gave Karl was a stamina potion that would help him recover from exhaustion. But as the peace and silence were starting to dominate, a yell from one of them echoed. The scream came from David who was looking at something.

“What is it, David!?” asked Bella.

“I think we have gone deeper into the dungeon,” replied David.

Bella raised her left brow questioning David. But David spoke, “Look at this thing Bella!”

Bella walks towards David, and what she saw made her speechless.

“I-Impossible! We were running away from the boss room, so how could it appear here?”

“It might be because of certain rules of the dungeon. Or it might have been the effect of the trap that David activated.” Marcia explained.

“How do you know that!?” asked David

“Well, I have read and heard stories in the church of some adventurers experiencing something like this. So it could be either of the two that might be causing this, also it has been proven by various dungeon researchers.”

“So its David's fault why were here,” spoke Karl.

“You wanna fight punk!”

Karl stood up and went straight to David, but as they were about to punch each other. Bella immediately got in the middle and spoke.

“Guys, calm down, if we want to survive this place we must do it together. Plus are you two gonna act like savages in front of three beautiful women, who are stuck with you guys.”

The two then stopped after hearing Bella talk. Karl then spoke, “I guess we will talk about this when we leave this place.”

“Hmph!,” replied David to Karl, as he snobs.

Meanwhile….

The sound of my 40 caliber AUG gun echoed the hallway which was lighted by crystals that I have never seen before. I have been killing monsters left and right for about three hours now.

I have killed goblins and some kind of giant larvae that melts anything. The strongest monster I have killed so far is a grand desert hobgoblin. Which is a level 8 monster, and I only killed six of them. I thought I would encounter stronger monsters on this floor.

Why do I say that? Because I was on the final floor of the dungeon, which was told to me by Xyra. Who is Xyra? That's the name I have given System X, which she gladly accepted the new name I have given her.

Now time to collect these materials, which are dropped by every monster I killed. I even have to do the extraction of some materials by myself in certain monsters. Which is not the easiest job to do, as explained by Xyra. Each material's worth is downgraded if I extract it improperly or damage it even the slightest.

I also noticed that each inventory slot can take the same item, with the quantity surpassing a hundred.

After taking the materials from the goblins, I immediately proceeded to go towards the boss's room.

While walking the hallway I was suddenly ambushed behind by a goblin. The goblin tried to pierced my neck with a knife, but too bad for him, a knife can't pierce my armor. I was then attacked from all sides by multiple goblins.

All of them used a spear to pierce me, I did nothing and just stood. All of the goblins showed a cocky smile as they saw that I was not moving, probably thinking that they scared the s**t out of me. I let the goblins stab me with their spears, I did not know what was happening but their attacks just barely touched my HP.

I waited for an entire five minutes, to see if the goblins got bored. But I was wrong they actually got tired and not bored, I didn't know what was I thinking as I spoke to the goblins.

“Now it is my turn,” I then grabbed the goblin near my neck, which was the first one to attack me. He keeps stabbing me in my neck with his pitiful knife.

I just grabbed his head with only one hand.

The goblin released a deafening screech as I put pressure on my grip, I even showed him to the other goblins, who were already tired after continuously attacking me. I then squeezed the goblin's head using my left bare hand.

The unpleasant screech of the goblin got louder as I put even more pressure in my grip. The other goblins who were down resting on the ground looked at their fellow goblin that I was holding in horror. As I slowly squeeze its skull into a squashed tomato.

After a few seconds, I finally heard and felt the skull of the goblin c***k, as it continues to struggles. The other goblins who have recovered their strength immediately tried to run away, but I immediately pulled my .50 Cal high-velocity Barreta, with my right hand and fired.

The goblins who tried to run away from me meet their end through my futuristic .50 Cal pistol. As I blow their heads up into smithereens causing their now headless body to scatter blood in their surroundings, as their cold bodies drop down the ground. The other goblins looked at me and my weapon with fear. The goblins fear escalated as I managed to completely crush the skull of the goblin that I was still holding with my left hand.

The goblin's blood-splattered along with his brain in my helmet and my destroyer suit. I then decided to m******e all the remaining goblins. Which I never thought would be fun, I kinda felt that my stress faded away as I kill a single goblin.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

“What was that noise!” yelled Karl who was sleeping next to Marcia. Bella was also woked up by the noise, and spoke: “You heard it too?”

“I Definitely heard it!” Karl stood up which caused Marcia to also woke up who was using Karl's arms as a pillow. “What's going on?” asked Marcia as she rubs her eyes.

*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*

“It's getting closer, ” spoke David who also awaken by the noise. David then put on his armor and prepared his weapon.

Lucy also woke up and moved into a battle stance, she also spoke, “Those sounds resemble a small thunder and explosion magic.”

As the group was preparing to face an enemy, Bella then spoke, “Wait if it's just a monster why would we worry? Were inside a safe zone that no monster can get in.”

“You do have a point, Bella,” spoke Karl.

But as Karl puts his sword back to its sheath, a corpse of goblin suddenly crashed into the safe zone barrier. But they did not expect that the goblin corpse was able to penetrate the barrier. Which made the group dumbfounded as they knew that magic barriers are meant to be indestructible.

“This isn't good news if this goblin managed to penetrate the safe zone. But whoever threw this goblin must be some kind of a monster, as he managed to break the magic barrier using physical strength.”

The group then formed a combat formation. As each individual in the group went into their own stance to prepare for a fight. After a few moments, they then saw two terrifying glowing red dots in the distance which seemed to resemble the eyes of a monster, was slowly going towards their direction.

“Heat signature and life form signatures have been confirmed sir, about one hundred meters north from us. Total number five, their pulse has increased dramatically.”

As Xyra uttered those words, I then saw the five life forms that Xyra has been speaking of. It was five teen-agers wearing clothes that I only saw in anime, books, and comics. If I remember correctly, they must be adventurers.

Is it me or does these teens, plan to attack me if I got close to them?

Philip was suddenly visible to the eyes of the adventurers. The Destroyer armor that Philip was controlling, was splattered with blood. Making him look like a killing machine that had just gone in a killing spree.

“What is that thing!?” yelled David.

“Is that a golem!?”

“I think not, it doesn't have any magical essence, it might be probably an undead,” spoke Marcia who was trembling in fear.

“Is there something wrong Marcia,” yelled Karl, with a worried voice.

“His aura is something I haven't seen before, it's too powerful.”

“Looks like we are gonna be fighting something unexpected. So be prepared for a fight of your life!” yelled Bella.

Wait, what are they planning, are those kids gonna attack me? but I haven't done anything wrong. I just wanna get to the boss den, which the entrance is the door behind these youngsters.

Can't believe that this would happen, maybe if I talk they would understand. I'm sure they can even help me to get out of this place. How should I say hello without scaring them? Maybe I should start explaining what happened to me in this dungeon.
