"So are you not tired of all the issues, mess and things thrown into your name?"
Calla was just sitting her ass on the chair while her mother is giving her all the words they wanted her to hear. But nothing is new and surprising, before she brought her ass on that place, she knew that a scandal about her will blow the net day and even before she opens her eyes.
"Do you even want to hear a word from me,? She asked and looked at her angry mother. Her father — the king is staring at her like she was trying to get studied but has that disappointed look on his eyes.
"When are you planning to stop all these crazy doings of you, Calla? You are no longer a teenager that still needs to be told about things. Please for once, Calla, be responsible, be a Vasquez, be a ----"
"Me llamaste irressponsable, ma? You called me irresponsible because I do things you don't like? But you never called me responsible for doing all the work, the job and the things I need to so Vasquez won't lose their power?" She burst out And her parents gaped for they seem to didn't expect her to said those things.
She is so sock with people telling her what she just do. She is not a freaking kid that needs anybody's approval of doing things. She hate it when the family would try to wrapped their fingers on her, their hand on her neck.
"Calla, you are the next leader----"
"But that doesn't mean I can't live a life of a normal person. Why are so pressed about being a royal, ma? No estas diciendo, papa?"
She was trying to calm herself as much as possible but her father's silence is getting into her nerves. She was aware that when her dad is as silent as like this, something is going to happen and that she won't like. But there is no way she would let that happen again, not at least by now.
"Convocare a todo el caln para una decision," said her father. Her mother's eyes widened and looked at her father with disbelief while she narrowed her eyes for that.
"What? Why would you call them? What decision?" She asked.
She has the idea about it in her head, she just to confirm it by hearing those words by her two ears.
"No tenemos que hacer eso tan pronto su alteza," said her mother.
Calla smirked and looked at her father. "I got it, really, Papa? Do you really want to get rid of me in this house? Remember that getting rid of from the house of Vasquez means getting rid of me from the companies and everything," she said and gave her parents the smile she knew would pissed them off.
This was the very first time that she talked back like this to her parents. But she just realized that although she doesn't like sitting on that throne, she would also never let any of her cousin get the name and the favor.
She couldn't understand why their ancestors the previous Queen twisted the law of the royal heir and heiress. It was supposed to be and the only first line in blood could have the thrown but now, her infanta of a cousin can even take over the throne if she's kicked out.
"Why do you have to be like this, Calla? We have given you all that you need, you've spoiled when you were a kid," said her mother and looked at her like she's the biggest disappoinment in the world.
"You can do everything that you want to do, Papa. But don't forget that even outside the house, I will die in hunger. Ican survive and still live the life."
She didn't wait to any of her parents respond her and turn her back at them. If people call that disrespect, she doesn't care. She was never respected by those people in the very first place. She was just used.
She stopped when the moment she opened the door, she saw the family attorney standing with his knees locked and his arms crossed over his chest.
"I suggest you lay low with things that you are doing," said Mikael — the lawyer without expression on his face.
She grew up with Mikael, well, he is a bit older than her but still saw how the boy turned into this fine man. She was disappointed when he decided to be the family's lawyer rather than building his won career outside the royal's rule.
"And i suggest you to never make comments about me, Mikael. Focus on your job description," she seriously said and walked to passed Miakel by.
She went straight into her room and locked it. She looked at her phone when she heard it ring and Natasha's name appeared on the screen.
"Natasha?"
("Calla! Thank God you've picked up.")
Her forehead knotted when she understand how Natasha sounded. She sounded so worried.
"Why? What is wrong?"
("Calla, you have to see the news. It's all about you and it's nonstop. I know you are used to these things but this one is different.")
Without asking, she took her laptop out and opened it. She went straight to the news and Natasha's not lying. She was all over the news and that's what her parents gets frustrated about.
But her eyes narrowed when she spotted the issue connected into her businesses.
"What the hell" she cursed and read the article about the thing.
But if they thing they can outsmart the Calla Vasquez, they were wrong because at one glance, she spotted and evidence of who the hell did this.
("Have you seen it? Calla, people is getting worst day by day. They want to hurt you because of the article about you being in that bar.)
"I know who did this, Natasha. I just want to ask you a favor.
By any chance, I want that issue down, like right now. All over the internet."
