Chapter 1
Being the princess of the Vasquez house, Calla was forced to learn the etiquette of a princess, of a woman and of being a Vasquez. She stood up with his forehead high as she walked towards the dinning where the entire Vasquez clan was there. Every end of three months, the entire clan has to gather together for a family dinner.
Even if she was the first in line to take the leadership when time comes that her father — the recent King of the Vasquez house step down the throne, she didn't feel like taking the leadership herself. She wasn't interested of anything about this royalty thing.
"Maupo ka na, Calla," her foreigner mother told her the moment she showed herself in the dinning area.
She can understand the language and she herself can speak it well. In the family, it was just her mother who happened to have no royal blood but had the first line generation to the throne. And that is why the other clan member would never look at her with respect.
Like she f*ckin' care. It's not like they were the one who made her like what she is. She maybe a royal blood but she was never complacent with her family's name. They were cold towards her because of her no royal blood relation. Besides, her mom also came from a wealthy family in the Philippines.
"So, how's life going, Calla?" her cousin asked and was looking at her with a f*cking brows that are raised up.
Calla looked at that woman with such calm face but a burning eyes. She never like anyone of this family. She was also never get close with her cousins, she got a lot of them. Some of them were in the same age with her but heck!
"Life was going great, Jasmine," she answered with such a teasing smile and with that, Jasmine simply rolled her eyes at Calla. Everyone looked at her after the moment of silence and when she speak again, "but you know, everyday wasn't alway great if you know somebody out there was rolling their eyes at you even if you did nothing wrong."
Jasmine gulped and immediately went pale after she just spilled what she had in mind. Calla was bold, fearless, ruthless and cunning — that's how people described her. But those characteristics they always connected in her name would immediately be forgotten the moment they saw her face. She was also known as the beautiful face — the standard of a beautiful face.
She was really and indeed looking like a princess.
"W-what?!" Jasmine asked in her low tone but surprised and stuttered.
Calla didn't waste her time to give spare of it to her cousin who treats her like an outcast.
"Enough with that," her father — the King of the house of Vasquez butt in and everyone's attention went unto him — well, except her. "In two months, we will be celebrating the 68th anniversary of the house of Vasquez. I hope that everyone has a suggestion to make."
"After we eat, everyone please stay for we have a few things to talk," her mom informed the clan members and everyone nodded. Again, except Calla and for that, she received a simply death glare from her mom.
Her mom, the Queen was once her best friend until she became 5. She lost everyone in her side ever since, she only have herself and her nanny. Unfortunately, her nanny chose to leave her as well when she became 15.
And now, no one has the guts and deserves to ask her how she became ruthless and cold. She has to, in order for her to survive the cruelty of life she was facing or else she will be drown and died in there.
"Try this, Calla. I made this myself," her eyes spotted the glass of handed by her cousin Llana who just got married to a Prince.
She simply glances Llana and she was certain that after Llana offered her this food, everyone's was there on us, waiting to whatever she is going to react and treat Llana's kindness. But Calla wasn't born yesterday and was never a naive herself.
Calla smirked after the elders didn't said anything with Llana's disrespectfulness towards dining role. First, when eating, do not interrupt other members and never ask nor offer them anything for the food was all served at the table.
But Llana being the favorite Princess of the house of Vasquez after being married to a Prince suddenly became an exception. Her dad, her mom didn't even said anything.
Calla looked at Llana with a wicked smile in her face.
*"Unfortunately, Llana. You were never and will never be the successor to the throne. None of you bitches and assholes!"* she said over her mind and glances everyone.
She caught her parents, aunties and uncles as well as her cousins narrowed their eyes when it took almost a minute for her to give her response to her generous cousin that offered her the food.
"Thank you, Llana, but I'm full," she answered smiling and managed herself to still sound okay and won't be so rude.
"But, I made it for you and I ----"
"Thank you for your effort, Llana," she cutt her off and glances to the food before she brought her sight back straight to Llana's eyes. "Unfortunately, I don't eat something with cheese on it. I found it........ disgusting."
The smile on her face didn't fade when Llana's face gets paled and looked at her with disbelief. She even heard her mother called her name to retrain her. She just gave her mother a sweet of a smile.
Calla glances Llana and the girl was looking like she would cry any time.
"But you know that your cooking was always my favorite," Llana's husband immediately took the scene as well as the food that Llana was holding. Llana forced to smile to her husband.
"You could've atleast try," Francis mumbled, Jasmine's brother.
He may not be looking at Calla but Calla know his statement was for her. But Calla didn't even give a single and a little attention to this f*cking attention seekers like hell!
"Calla put your phone down, have you forgotten the role infront of the food?" she heard her aunt's — Llana's mother's voice reminding her the sh*t of the manners.
"Oh. I'm sorry," she apologized and smiled to everyone. She then stood up and that took everyone's attention and they were all looking at her. Her other cousin's who didn't even give a single word are looking at her if looks can kill — she could've been died right infront of them. "I thought it was okay, Llana interrupted me when I was eating so I thought it was fine. Anyway, mom, please call me when everyone's done with their meal and has to start the meeting."
Every clan member gasped the moment she fearless and ruthlessly turned her back at them all. They couldn't believe the words she just said and that was the first time and she did something of a scene in front of them and she just waited for the moment.
They were all ruining her name all over the social media. They can act like they care for her when something negative and bold about her came out in the news and all over the magazine. This family really underestimated her capability, her connection and her power. They thought they can hide everything they did against her.
"Calla, wait."
She stopped when someone grabbed her arm when she was about to go up the stairs. She shut her eyes in annoyance for she knew who the heck was there at her back.
"I just want ask if you are mad at me, if yes, I want to know why. Calla, I was always your fan and I always look up to you," she heard Llana said.
Calla smiled and turned to meet Llana's eyes. "Llana, you don't have to act like you like me. We both know among our cousins you are the biggest traitor towards me. We both know among them, you are the one who has the biggest contribution to ruin my name."
