United in Blood

“I am not buying this s**t no more,” said Max as he took to his heels but before he could get to the exit door, some of the demons blocked him from leaving. “You guys should stay away from me,” Max said as he points at the demons. “It’s not gonna hurt,” Azul said on walking in on Max. “The blade is just to have a drop of your blood,” said Zeo as he approaches Max with the demon's blade.

“I have already tried that and no blade can hurt me,” said Max. “Have you tried this?” Zeo asked sternly as he waves the demon's blade in Max’s face. “If no damn bullet can penetrate me, that blade will do nothing,” said Max. “Then let’s find out,” said Azul. “I am not interested with this s**t no more,” Max insisted on leaving.

But unfortunately, Zeo from behind held him, “Be still,” said Zeo as he cut Max’s finger with the demon’s blade. “Ahhh!” Max screamed. “We just need it to perform the ritual with your bride,” said Zeo.

Dressed in fine apparel decorated in gold and with fine pieces of jewelry and diamond shoes, Jasmine walked in like a bride ready for her groom, “What’s holding you to come to me?” she said with her eyes fixed on Max. “She’s beautiful,” Max replied with a smile as he stared at Jasmine in awe.

“So what’s it gonna be?” Azul asked Max. “Well, I don’t know what it’s gonna be,” Max replied. “Maybe you should rethink again, how about that huh?” said Zeo as he approaches Max with the demon's blade. Holding the blade against Max’s neck he asked, “What’s your answer?” “Nothing comes to mind,” Max replied. “Then we do this the hard way,” said Zeo dragging Max to the ritual temple.

“Are you ready for this?” Azul asked Jasmine. “Like hell I am,” Jasmine replied. With her eyes fixed on Max, Azul said, “Once we join you both together, nothing, I repeat nothing should come in between the both of you.” “I am not buying this s**t,” Max yelled with a demon's blade still held to his neck.

Suddenly, Azul began enchantment with Max’s blood as Jasmine offered her blood too. As the enchantment was still going on, a thick black smoke took hold of Max, carrying him towards Jasmine, “Oh s**t! I am freaking out,” said Max as the black smoke landed him next to Jasmine.

“With the power vested upon me, I now pronounce you two one,” said Azul as the entire demons began to cheer them in excitement. “What next now?” Max asked Jasmine. “I got to show you something,” Jasmine replied as she led Max into an underground bunker.

“What are we doing here?” Max asked as he stared around. “There are things you should know about this place,” Jasmine replied. “There is a pathway to the paradise behind that giant door,” said Jasmine as she pointed Max’s attention to a door. “That door has not been opened in eons,” Jasmine replied. “Why not?” Max asked with curiosity as he approaches the door. “We can’t open it, but you can!” Jasmine replied. “With your powers, you will help us return to paradise. But before that, after you have manifested your full powers, you can be able to change your physical look especially your black eyes and those black veins,” Jasmine added. “We should get on with this s**t and make it happen,” said Max as he caresses the door.

“Why were you trying to cut yourself with a knife?” Jasmine asked as they both walked into the demon’s temple. “I was freaking out about myself,” Max replied. “About what precisely?” Jasmine asked with her eyes fixed on Max. “I was shot and nothing happened,” said Max. “And yet Azul pushed you down and nothing happened,” Jasmine replied. “You shouldn’t be freaking out about your strengthened body functions,” Jasmine added.

“Even if I am not freaking out, people are now scared of me,” said Max with his face down. “You mean that you care so much about some who wants to take your life when he shot at you rather than being happy that you were able to scare him away?” Jasmine asked as she gazes at Max with surprise. “You should be glad you are alive and was able to send that asshole away without even touching him,” Jasmine added.

“I guess you are right,” said Max in a low tone. “You should be proud of it,” said Jasmine with smiles on her face. “And having the black crystal in you is a good thing to all of us, including you,” Jasmine added. “I noticed that everything here is made of gold and diamond,” said Max. “Is it a tradition or what?” Max asked as he looks around with awe.

“We have walked the earth for eons and this is nothing compared to what we have in paradise,” Jasmine replied. “You don’t get burglaries here often or what?” Max asked sternly with a glance at Jasmine. “No human can be able to cross into this mansion without our permission,” said Jasmine. “Literally, you are not in your world, and no human knows about this place,” Jasmine added.

“Oh hell no!” Max exclaimed. “How in the hell am I supposed to get back home?” Max asked with curiosity as he became worried. “Relax!” said Jasmine. “I brought you here and I can easily take you home,” Jasmine added. “How about you do that now?” Max replied. “Are you scared or what?” Jasmine enquired. “You know we are now united as one and I will absolutely do nothing to harm you,” she added as she held Max’s hand. “I get it,” Max replied. “I will do the same for you,” Max added.

An hour later, Jasmine appeared in Max’s apartment with Max and it was already very early in the morning, “What a fast ride,” said Max with happiness written over his face. “I bet you enjoyed it,” Jasmine smiled. “Of course I did,” said Max. “I have to catch some sleep,” Max added.

“Here, I got something for you,” said Jasmine as she stretches her hand towards Max. “What’s this?” Max asked as he took a small purse from Jasmine’s hand. “Why not take a look at it?” Jasmine replied. On opening the purse, Max exclaimed in excitement and as he lifted his head up, Jasmine was gone.
